Carolyn Moos, Jason Collins' Ex-Fiancee, Says She Never Knew He Was Gay
Jason Collins' ex-fiancee and longtime girlfriend, Carolyn Moos, opened up about her ex coming out and revealed that she was shocked to learn he is gay. Former WNBA player Carolyn Moos dated Collins and even got engaged to him before he called things off in 2009. When Collins told her he is gay just days before going public with the news, she was shocked. "It's very emotional for me as a woman to have invested [eight] years in my dream to have a husband, soul mate, and best friend in him. So this is all hard to understand," Moos said. "I care about [Jason] tremendously and only want the best for him. I want Jason to be happy for a lifetime and stay true to who he really is, inside and out." When she first found out, Moos said she felt a range of emotions -- "hurt, confusion and embarrassment" -- but eventually was able to offer support. "I had to sit down," Moos, now a personal trainer and nutritional consultant, told ESPN. "I was shocked. There's no words to really describe my reaction. ... But this does alleviate some of the pain. … I'm so happy for him. He deserves to live the life he wants." In his coming-out editorial for Sports Illustrated, Collins said he had lived a lie, writing: "When I was younger I dated women. I even got engaged. I thought I had to live a certain way. I thought I needed to marry a woman and raise kids with her. I kept telling myself the sky was red, but I always knew it was blue." The Washington Wizards center sat down with ABC News' George Stephanopoulos and discussed his life in the closet. Collins said axing his nuptials to Moos was a difficult thing to do. "Calling off the wedding was obviously a tough decision but it was the right one because I knew I wasn't getting married for the right reasons," he said. Since coming out, the 34-year-old NBA player has received support from the likes of President Barack Obama, Ellen DeGeneres, Bill Clinton, Kobe Bryant and more. He is the first professional male athlete to come out as gay while actively playing in one of America's four major leagues.

LIL WAYNE HOSPITALIZED AFTER SUFFERING ANOTHER SEIZURE
Lil Wayne spent Tuesday night in the hospital after suffering another seizure. The rapper, who recently revealed he suffers from epilepsy, was reportedly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles by his bodyguards. Wayne responded to the reports on Wednesday, posting on Twitter, " I'm fine. Thank u." He was treated by doctors and was discharged early on Wednesday. The hip-hop star, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., has been in and out of the hospital in recent months. He collapsed on the set of Nicki Minaj's video shoot for her single "High School" in March and was admitted to the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai the next day after suffering three seizures back to back.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Returns to Treatment for Bipolar II Disorder
Catherine Zeta-Jones is returning to treatment for her bipolar II disorder. "Catherine has proactively checked into a health care facility," her rep, Cece Yorke says. "Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner." Meanwhile, a source says that Zeta-Jones was planning to return to treatment as a way for doctors to monitor her medication. "There was no big problem," says a friend. "This was just a good time to do it. She is in between projects. This has always been part of the plan. She would manage her health. She is vigilant about it." In 2011, the actress completed a stint in a Connecticut mental-health facility for the disorder, which can cause a cycle of high and low moods, often with episodes of depression. "This is a disorder that affects millions of people and I am one of them," Zeta-Jones, 43, said at the time. "If my revelation of having bipolar II has encouraged one person to seek help, then it is worth it. There is no need to suffer silently and there is no shame in seeking help." Nothing seemed amiss a week ago when Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas walked the carpet at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s 40th Annual Chaplin Award Gala honoring Barbra Streisand. When asked if they were enjoying a perfect date night, he smiled and responded, "Oh yes. Yes, this is pretty cool." Next up for Zeta-Jones is the movie Reds 2, out July 19, costarring Bruce Willis and Anthony Hopkins. Douglas is headed to Cannes in a few weeks for his upcoming HBO biopic Behind the Candelabra, costarring Matt Damon.

A Mormon church-owned NBC affiliate in Utah has pulled the “Hannibal” TV show because of its graphic violence. The first three episodes of the serial-killer drama that aired on KSL-TV became increasingly graphic and “extremely gory,” drawing complaints from many viewers and rising eyebrows among station executives, said Tami Ostmark, KSL-TV vice president of marketing. KSL executives were somewhat uncomfortable with the “Hannibal” show after viewing the pilot and promos but decided to give it a chance, Ostmark said. “We knew it would be graphic,” Ostmark said. “But as the episodes went on, it just got more graphic and gory.” “Hannibal” is the latest show the TV station — owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which has its worldwide headquarters in Salt Lake City — has judged to be unsuitable for its audience.
