Johnny Lewis, an actor who played Kip "Half Sack" Epps on the cable TV show "Sons of Anarchy," has fallen to his death after apparently beating to death his elderly landlady at a hillside home, authorities said. The Los Angeles County coroner's office on Thursday identified the bodies as those of Lewis, 28, and Catherine Davis, 81.  The causes of their deaths were unknown pending autopsies.  Neighbors called police Wednesday morning to report a woman screaming and three men fighting. Officers went to a home in the Los Feliz area near Hollywood and found the body of a woman in the driveway, Sgt. Frank Preciado told the Los Angeles Times. Investigators believe she was struck or beaten. The body of the suspected killer, who may have rented a room from the woman, was found about six feet from a wall, Preciado said. The man climbed a wall and fought with a housepainter at a neighboring home, returned to the woman's home and climbed the wall again to fight with the painter and the owner of the second house, Preciado said. The man apparently fell while trying to scale the wall again, Preciado said. The men who fought with him were treated at the scene for minor injuries, he said. Lewis had been released from jail just days before. The actor pleaded no contest Aug. 8 to assault with a deadly weapon and then on Aug. 17 he pleaded no contest to burglary, according to court records. He was sentenced to a year in jail in the first case and 291 days in the second, but given hundreds of days credit for time already served and good behavior. He left a San Fernando Valley jail at 4:05 p.m. on Sept. 21. Jonathan Kendrick Lewis had a career spanning more than a decade, mainly in small roles. He played Ricky in the 2007 movie "AVPR: Aliens vs Predator — Requiem" and was Dennis 'Chili' Childress for two seasons on TV's "The O.C." He played Epps on FX's "Sons of Anarchy" in 2008 and 2009 episodes. "It was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way. I wish I could say that I was shocked by the events last night, but I was not," Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter wrote on his website. "I am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path."

nicole murphy michael strahan breakup Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife Nicole Murphy is shunning rumors that she broke-up with her fiance, ex-NFL star Michael Strahan. The rumors began when a source revealed that Nicole and Michael were engaged in a heated argument over some steamy text messages found by Michael. The newly minted co-host on Live with Kelly & Michael confronted his fiance about the text. The argument resulted in the breakup. The alleged texts came from R&B artist London Taylor who featured Murphy as his video girl in “No Panties.” The Hollywood Exes reality star alleges she agreed to the video to hock her jewelry line. Beach Boys reunion ends with three founders fired via e-mail

Apparently, the 50th anniversary reunion tour of the surviving members of the original Beach Boys will be the last we see of that line-up, at least until the 100th anniversary rolls around. Founding members Brian Wilson (who wrote/co-wrote most of the Beach Boys songs that anyone knows and loves), Al Jardine and David Marks were informed by an e-mail that lead singer/notorious rock and roll jerk Mike Love won't be requiring their services any longer—he intends to go back to what he's been doing for the past few decades: touring as The Beach Boys at casinos and resorts (oh, and the Reagan White House) backed by a hired band of minimum-wage ringers.

Lil Wayne tops Elvis' Billboard record
Lil Wayne is not only making rap history, he's making rock 'n' roll history: The rapper has surpassed Elvis Presley as the male with the most entries on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Lil Wayne now has 109 songs on that chart with Thursday's debut of Game's song "Celebration," where he is a guest alongside Chris Brown, Tyga and Wiz Khalifa. Of his 109 charted songs, only 42 are led by Lil Wayne; 67 are songs where he is the featured act. Thursday is the rapper's 30th birthday. Presley totaled 108 songs on the Hot 100 since it launched in 1958. Presley's career kicked off before that and several of his songs — like "Heartbreak Hotel" — could not be included in his total number. The "Glee" cast has the most Hot 100 entries with 204.

John Travolta Spa-Sex Libel Suit Tentatively Dismissed
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge tentatively cleared John Travolta and his attorney of libel charges Thursday in a case filed by the author of a book detailing the actor's alleged homosexual escapades in spas. Robert Randolph, who wrote "You'll Never Spa in This Town Again" and served as a source in a 2010 Gawker story called "The Secret Sex Life of John Travolta," had sued Travolta and attorney Marty Singer, alleging personal damage inflicted by Singer's media statements in response to the publications. After Gawker published the story, in which Randolph claimed he witnessed Travolta having oral and anal sex with men at a spa, Singer submitted a long letter to the media gossip site, alleging, in turn, that Randolph was mentally unstable. Randolph filed a libel suit against the actor and attorney, claiming they "sought to disparage the quality of [Randolph's] property and reputation and to induce members of the public to believe [Randolph] is an unreliable source and thus abstain from purchasing" the book, according to court documents obtained by TheWrap. The defendants made an anti-SLAPP motion, which, under California law, can throw out lawsuits deemed frivolous infringements of defendants' First Amendment rights. Judge Malcolm Mackey said Singer's letter was not subject to a defamation claim.  "Mr. Travolta will be seeking to obtain his legal fees from Robert Randolph and his lawyers," Lynda B. Goldman, the defendants' attorney who works at Singer's firm, said in a statement  "Notwithstanding inane tabloid fodder, two individuals who sued Mr. Travolta voluntarily dismissed their cases, and Randolph's case was dismissed by the court.  Anyone else who thinks about suing Mr. Travolta should expect a similar result."

Piers Morgan bans Kelsey Grammer from his show
Newsman-turned-TV talk show host Piers Morgan has banned Kelsey Grammer from his daily CNN program after the actor walked out over a photo mix-up last week. The former "Frasier" star stormed off the "Piers Morgan Tonight" set at the last minute after spotting a snap of his ex-wife Camille in the opening titles, according to the show host -- and now Grammer has joined Madonna on the ex-tabloid editor's banned list. Asked if he'll have the actor back on the show, Morgan states, "No, it'll be the last time." Grammer has yet to comment on the drama but his representative says, "Piers needs to take responsibility for what he did to Kelsey. It's called accountability."  Last month, Grammer refused to utter Camille's name during a chat with TV host Oprah Winfrey, simply referring to the reality TV star as "that person." The Grammers went through a bitter divorce and custody battle after splitting in 2010.

"Basketball Wives LA" star Gloria Govan and her boyfriend, NBA player Matt Barnes secretly tied the knot in Las Vegas, according to reports. The reality star married Barnes on Sunday, Sept. 23, at Las Vegas' famed wedding chapel, The Little Church of West, before a few close friends and family. The couple was in town to celebrate Govan's sister Laura's birthday the day before but decided to stay in town to get hitched. The couple was seen the day after the nuptials at the local marriage bureau to obtain their marriage license.  The nuptials occurred two years after the couple called off their wedding at the last minute. Before the season ended, the aspiring actress severed ties with the 32-year-old to decide if she wanted to continue the relationship. The couple has announced in several recent interviews prior to the ceremony that Barnes will not appear on "BBWLA". "I'm not on this season. We already opened up our relationship enough and we went through our drama last summer so you know I fell back and let her do her thing and we're going to keep our situation a lot tighter this time around," Barnes reportedly said in a radio interview.

NFL, locked-out officials agree to deal

The NFL and its locked-out officials agreed to terms on a new deal late Wednesday night which would put officials in place for this weekend’s games — including Thursday night's game — sources close to the situation confirmed. Both the NFL and the officials' union later issued statements confirming the deal. According to the sources, the final sticking point related to the much-discussed pension plan, but that stalemate finally ended. The sides are currently working on paperwork according to sources and at least half of the 121 locked-out members must approve the new deal, but sources said that is expected to be a formality, with the vote coming Friday. ''Our officials will be back on the field starting tomorrow night'' for the Cleveland-Baltimore game, commissioner Roger Goodell said. ''We appreciate the commitment of the NFLRA in working through the issues to reach this important agreement.'' The agreement, which is an eight-year deal, culminated two long days of talks that included Goodell at the table. The deal must be ratified by 51 percent of the union's 121 members. They plan to vote Friday and Saturday in Dallas.  ''Our Board of Directors has unanimously approved taking this proposed CBA to the membership for a ratification vote,'' said Scott Green, president of the NFLRA. ''We are glad to be getting back on the field for this week's games.'' The replacements worked the first three weeks of games, triggering a wave of frustration that threatened to disrupt the rest of the season. After a missed call cost the Green Bay Packers a win on a chaotic final play at Seattle on Monday night, the two sides really got serious. The NFL said in a statement Tuesday that the touchdown pass should not have been overturned - but acknowledged Tate should have been called for offensive pass interference before the catch. The league also said there was no indisputable evidence to reverse the call made on the field. The agreement hinged on working out pension and retirement benefits for the officials, who are part-time employees of the league. The tentative pact calls for their salaries to increase from an average of $149,000 a year in 2011 to $173,000 in 2013, rising to $205,000 by 2019. Under the proposed deal, the current defined benefit pension plan will remain in place for current officials through the 2016 season or until the official earns 20 years' service. The defined benefit plan will then be frozen. Retirement benefits will be provided for new hires, and for all officials beginning in 2017, through a defined contribution arrangement. The annual league contribution made on behalf of each game official will begin with an average of more than $18,000 per official and increase to more than $23,000 per official in 2019. Beginning with the 2013 season, the NFL will have the option to hire a number of officials on a full-time basis to work year round, including on the field. The NFL also will be able to retain additional officials for training and development, and can assign those officials to work games. The number of additional officials will be determined by the league. ''As you know, this has to be ratified and we know very little about it, but we're excited to be back. And ready,'' referee Ed Hochuli told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. ''And I think that's the most important message - that we're ready.''
Actor Antonio Sabato Jr. married singer-songwriter Cheryl Moana Marie in an intimate ceremony Tuesday evening on the island of Kauai, his rep confirmed. The couple, accompanied by 18 of their closest friends and family, exchanged vows at sunset at a private Anini Beach estate overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Sabato, 40, met Marie in Los Angeles three years ago after failing to find love while filming his 2009 reality show, My Antonio. "It's kind of ironic that I went to Hawaii to look for someone, and then I found someone who's from Hawaii," he said the former beauty queen, who is also the youngest winner of the Miss Kauai America title. In May 2011 the couple welcomed their first child together, son Antonio III. This is the first marriage for Marie, and it's the second marriage for Sabato.

Pink scores her first No. 1, Kanye rides in second
A dozen years into her multiplatinum career, Pink has scored her first ever(!) number one album this week with her new disc The Truth About Love, which topped the Billboard 200 with sales of 280,000. Driven by the success of her Top 5 single “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” — and it’s lippy VMA performance — Truth became Pink’s sixth straight Top 10 debut. Still, until today, her previous chart high came with the 2008 set Funhouse, which debuted at No. 2.  In second place was the Kanye West-compiled collection Cruel Summer, which features artists like Big Sean, 2 Chainz, and West himself. The disc, which includes the rap hits “Clique” and “Mercy,” started with an impressive 205,000 copies in its first week. The Killers’ latest, Battle Born, moved a solid 113,000 units in its first week — enough for third place on the chart.  The Dave Matthews Band’s Away from the World fell 77 percent from 1-4 this week, selling 62,000 copies. After two weeks, the DMB disc has sold a not-at-all-shabby 331,000 copies. Close behind, Little Big Town’s Tornado blew from 2-5, dropping 55 percent to 50,000. It has now sold 159,000 after two weeks — a great start for the country quartet.
Lady Gaga After receiving quite a bit of negative attention for her recent weight gain (she put on 25 pounds), Lady Gaga took to her social media website, LittleMonsters.com, to respond — and to reveal a painful secret. On Tuesday, Gaga posted a photo (left) of herself wearing nothing but a yellow bra and underwear, along with this caption: “Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15.” With the picture, she announced the launch of a new movement, “A Body Revolution 2013,” meant to encourage body acceptance. The singer added a second shot with her arms stretched in the air saying, “But today I join the BODY REVOLUTION.” Two more photos, in which Gaga shows off her backside, are also included in the post with the captions, “To inspire bravery” and “BREED some m$therf*cking COMPASSION.” On her site, Gaga explains that the inspiration behind the movement stemmed from the Born This Way Foundation, an organization she started with her mother to stop bullying and embrace individuality. “This profile is an extension of that dream,” she wrote. “Be brave and celebrate with us your ‘perceived flaws,’ as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous.”Unsurprisingly, the Mother Monster’s positive message resonated with her Little Monsters. Soon after the post went up, fans began flooding the website with photos of themselves in their underwear and sharing their own personal struggles with body image issues.

George Strait announces final tour but he's not retiring

Country singer George Strait announced Wednesday (Sept. 26) that he's calling it quits on touring, but he's not retiring from making music."I've decided I'm not going to tour anymore after these next two years," Strait, 60, says at a press conference at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame. "Don't think I'm retiring because I'm not. I'm still going to make records as long as the label will let me. I'm going to write."The "Easy Come, Easy Go" crooner adds that he may do one-off performances and special events, but "as far as a structured tour goes, after the last date in 2014, that will be it for the touring." Strait's "Cowboy Rides Away" tour kicks off Jan. 18 in Lubbock, Texas. Martina McBride joins Strait on the 2013 leg of the tour. Dates for 2014 haven't been announced yet.  "I didn't want to book a tour and nobody came. It was important to me to pick that time [to quit touring] rather than go that long when something like that started happening," he says.

Paul Nassif Granted Visitation with Kids

A judge on Wednesday granted Nassif – who is in the middle of a bitter divorce from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof – the opportunity to see his three sons, and overturned a temporary restraining order against him. Maloof, 51, has claimed that Nassif, 50, displayed violence towards their children and is a danger to them. The couple are parents to 9-year-old son Gavin and 6-year-old twins Christian and Collin. Nassif arrived in court on Wednesday with a letter from the Department of Children and Family Services saying that the abuse claim was "unfounded." A judge granted him two monitored visits with the kids before a scheduled hearing on Oct. 9, where custody will be discussed further. "He is delighted and continues to hope that the children will be able to spend significant time with both parents and grow up and experience as normal a childhood as they can," a source close to Nassif says. Nassif has scheduled visits with his kids on Sept. 29 and Oct. 6. Maloof, meanwhile, is "comfortable with the court's decision," her rep Howard Bragman says. "She respects it. She is happy that the kids are spending monitored time with their father."

What actress is strong enough to play Alicia’s mom on The Good Wife? How about a former First Lady? Stockard Channing has been cast in the CBS drama as the mother of Julianna Margulies’ character. Channing will appear in at least one episode during the upcoming fourth season. Alicia’s mother is described as mercurial and influenced by her 1960s counterculture youth. Best known for her role as First Lady Abbey Bartlet on NBC’s The West Wing, Channing has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, such as the original 1978 Grease (Rizzo!) and her own Stockard Channing Show in 1980. The Good Wife returns to CBS this Sunday, Sept. 30.

Did AMC renew The Walking Dead? The network’s website posted a contest for viewers to win a trip to the set of the zombie hit’s fourth season — even though no such season has been announced and the third has yet to premiere. The contest is causing some to think the show’s officially renewed.

TLC is breeding more episodes of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. While stopping shy of an (inevitable) second season order, the network just announced additional editions of the unlikely breakout hit. While TLC is remaining quiet on how many episodes, exactly, will be unleashed on the general public, the network will reveal there are three holiday specials (or, as the network’s press release calls them, “HOLLAday specials”). TLC will air a Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas episode (presumably in that order). The show has averaged 2.3 million viewers so far.

Logo axes Paris Hilton show after AIDS comments
Execs at TV network Logo have shelved a documentary about Paris Hilton following the star's controversial comments about AIDS. The socialite was recorded discussing homosexuals, HIV and gay social networking website Grindr with a friend during a cab ride in New York earlier this month. A representative for the channel says the documentary "has been removed from the schedule."During the conversation, Hilton was heard saying, "Gay guys are the horniest people in the word. ... Most of them probably have AIDS. ... I would be so scared if I was a gay guy... you'll, like, die of AIDS." She issued an apology after the comments were made public, but the move didn't stop chiefs at Logo from pulling the 2007 documentary, "Paris Hilton, Inc.," which was set to air twice this week on the channel.

Andy Williams, whose corn-fed good looks, easygoing charm and smooth rendition of "Moon River" propelled him to the heights of music stardom in the early '60s, died Tuesday at his home in Branson, Mo., his family announced. He was 84, and 2012 had marked his 75th year in showbiz. Williams is survived by his wife Debbie and his three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian. With 17 gold and three platinum records to his name, Williams enjoyed his golden years playing golf and dividing his time between La Quinta, Calif., and Branson, where he appeared at his Andy Williams Moon River Theater since 1992. It was on the stage of that theater, in November 2011, Williams announced he had bladder cancer. At the time, he assured fans the disease was no longer a death sentence and that he had every intention of being a survivor.  Despite his own clean-cut good looks – the Williams signature look was a turtleneck under a brightly colored pullover sweater – scandal did touch Williams's life. In the mid-1970s, his ex-wife, French dancer Claudine Longet, went on trial in Aspen for the fatal shooting of her lover, international skiing star Vladimir ("Spider") Sabich. In the end, Longet, who claimed the shooting was an accident, was found guilty of misdemeanor criminal negligence and received only a 30-day sentence, which she served on and off at her convenience. In his 2009 memoir, Williams, who during the trial had accompanied his ex-wife to the courtroom on a daily basis, continued to defend her innocence. Longet and Williams were married from 1961 to 1975 and had three children together: Noelle, Christian, and Robert. They survive him, as does his second wife (since 1991), Debbie Williams.

It's official: Sean Lowe is starring in the upcoming season of The Bachelor, ABC says. The Dallas businessman and entrepreneur won the hearts of fans across the country as he wooed North Carolina single mom Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette last season, landing in the final three. Maynard sent Lowe, the second runner-up, home as she'd fallen head over heels for Utah entrepreneur Jef Holm, accepting his marriage proposal.  "I was standing at that rose ceremony thinking I was going to marry her," Lowe said last July of the heartbreaking moment when Maynard sent him home. Tuesday's announcement comes after months of speculation, with casting rumors ranging from former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky's ex-fiancé Roberto Martinez to Olympian Ryan Lochte. Production is already underway for the 17th season of the reality dating show, which will begin airing in January 2013.
Despite a critically-lauded cast and a compelling subject matter, Darrell Roodt's Winnie Mandela-centered biopic, "Winnie," premiered way back at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival (yes, we just finished up with the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival) and is still without an American distributor. Starring Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson as Winnie Mandela and Terence Howard as Nelson Mandela, the film is based on the biography by Anne Marie du Preez Bezdrob and has been adapted by director Roodt and Andre Pieterse. The film follows the life story of Winnie, tracing her life from her childhood to meeting her husband to their involvement with apartheid activism to her husband's imprisonment. Though the casting of Hudson and Howard was met with derision from both movie fans and South African citizens, the film itself certainly looks well-made and stirring, as its first trailer shows, but it's worrisome that such a project would be met with such little fanfare and interest.

"I give my entire residuary estate, real and personal, to her," reads the will. The last will and testamentent was created in 2007 and also leaves a $1.6 million trust fund to his children. Although they were reportedly in the midst of a divorce, Monica Lighty has stated that she called off the proceeding as a Father's Day gift. Lighty's family hired Dr. Michael Baden to conduct another autopsy before the Violator Management founder was laid to rest, but so far results beyond his being killed by a gunshot wound to the head have been inconclusive. Baden is awaiting further test result.
Josh Hamilton returned to the Texas Rangers lineup on Monday night after an optometrist diagnosed the vision problem that caused him to miss the past five games. His affliction? Ocular keratitis, which dried out Hamilton's corneas and forced him to leave a game last Tuesday night with what he initially believed to be a sinus infection. Blurred vision and balance problems followed and caused Hamilton to miss the entire weekend series against the Seattle Mariners.  Doctors say high caffeine consumption can cause ocular keratitis. That might sound strange, but Hamilton wouldn't be the first baseball player to be told to cut back. Atlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann struggled with a mysterious and extended vision problem  before decreasing his amount of caffeine consumption in 2010. Johnny Damon also cut caffeine while experiencing similar symptoms with the New York Yankees in 2009. Hamilton returns just in time as the Rangers welcome Oakland to Arlington for a four-game set that will help decide whether Texas can win its third straight AL West title. The Rangers hold a four-game lead on the A's and still have a three-game series in Oakland remaining on the schedule. Hamilton is also tied with Miguel Cabrera for the AL lead in homers with 42 and could ruin the Detroit third baseman's quest for baseball's first Triple Crown since 1967.
It's been just eight months since Beyonce welcomed daughter Blue Ivy into the world, but the rumor mill is already burning up with speculation over whether there's another bun baking in her barely cooled-down oven. The baby talk began after the superstar was photographed in New York last weekend sporting a leopard-print dress that appeared to show a barely discernible bulge around the belly area. The singer's mother says Beyonce is not pregnant.

Jennifer Lopez wins big at appeals court in lawsuit over Telemundo movie
Two years ago, the singer-actress was sued for allegedly interfering with a film that would have told the story of her doomed marriage to Ojani Noa. The film, which was being developed for Telemundo under the working title "I Owe JLo," hit problems after Lopez's attorneys sent cease-and-desist letters to Noa, his business partner Ed Meyer and a producer named Claudia Vazquez. Vazquez sued Lopez for $10 million for tortious interference. At a preliminary stage, Lopez attempted to strike the lawsuit. Instead, Vazquez got a stunning victory when a Los Angeles judge decided that the producer was likely to prevail over the star. On Monday, the Second District Court of Appeals reversed the judgment. Vazquez's hopes of collecting millions of dollars after Lopez rendered her "radioactive" in the entertainment industry have nearly evaporated.

The mother of three was open about her uncertain future on the program after fallouts with most of her castmates, and she recently poured her heart out about how hurt she was when she watched the shows back and heard her former friends badmouthing her and her family. But the 35-year-old insists she will never regret signing on to become a "Housewives" member: "I am so grateful to have gone through this amazing journey and to have met so many incredible fans. My heart is at peace and I remain so excited for my future."

Snooki law would let NJ towns regulate reality TV
A New Jersey lawmaker wants towns to have a say in the filming of reality TV shows within their boundaries before a situation develops. Ocean County Republican Assemblyman Ronald Dancer on Monday introduced legislation for a Snookiville Law. The law would let towns impose conditions, including requiring TV crews to pay for additional police officers to assure public safety during filming.  Dancer named the bill after "Jersey Shore" cast member Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, whose show with Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and others recently ended its three-year run in Seaside Heights. The MTV show's cast members were involved in scuffles and drunken public displays. Police officers routinely were assigned to areas where filming occurred. Snooki and co-star Jennifer "JWoww" Farley have been filming a spinoff series in nearby Manchester. Authorities there have reported no problems.

Lone Ranger Crew Member Dies on Set
A crew member on the sets of Johnny Depp-starrer forthcoming film 'The Lone Ranger' has died of apparent drowning. The unnamed 48-year-old diver is thought to have suffered a heart attack while cleaning out a pool that was going to be used in the film. "Our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues at this time," Walt Disney studios said.  Spokesman Paul Roeder added in a statement, "Our full support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this terrible event."  Police revealed the man had been wearing scuba equipment to carry out maintenance on a deep pool on a ranch near Palmdale, in the desert north of Los Angeles, where the Western is being filmed. Close friends said the victim's name is Mike Bridger, a welder and water safety guy who had worked alongside mega producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Depp for years. One of his biggest breaks was working with Bruckheimer on the set of the first 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie. The Lone Ranger, due to be released in July 2013, is a remake of the classic adventure with Depp as Native American spirit warrior Tonto and Armie Hammer in the title role.

Chris Brown fails random drug test, will face November probation hearing
A Los Angeles Superior Court hearing on Monday revealed that Chris Brown tested positive for marijuana use in a random drug test conducted last June in Virginia. But does that mean he violated the conditions of his probation stemming from his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna? Judge Patricia Schnegg has set a follow-up hearing for Nov. 1 to evaluate prosecutors' claims that the drug test is only one of multiple ways Brown wasn't behaving himself. They say that probation officials in Virginia -- where Brown has been carrying out his community service sentence -- also believe Brown violated travel restrictions. In his defense, Brown says that after testing positive for pot, he told Virginia officials that he has a medical marijuana card and he smoked the marijuana in California. The drug test was not ordered by a California judge, but is routine in Virginia. "I'm not going to order a subsequent drug test, but this is my advice to you: You are not an average person," Schnegg told Brown. "A lot of people look up to you, a lot of kids. What you do and what you say impacts a lot of people." "I'm going to caution you," Schnegg continued. "You should be very mindful of obeying all laws and rules." Rihanna tweeted her support of Brown prior to the hearing. After the hearing, Brown tweeted: "I love all the fans and supporters. Back to work. 'Don't judge Me' video is ready. Coming soon."

The couple exchanged vows in front of about 60 friends and family members in Southern California.Their 2-year-old twins – son Lydon and daughter Hartley – served as the ring bearer and flower girl at the colorful and chic event. The couple say they started trying for a baby about a month before the London Games, assuming it would take some time to conceive. Little did Walsh Jennings know, she’d be playing the gold medal match with partner Misty May-Treanor at five weeks along. “I thought it could have been the stress of the Games and travel throws your schedule off,” she explains. “At some point, you’re late and then you start feeling something. And I definitely started feeling something in London.”

Gedrick will play Craig Wendell, a murderer that Hank (Russell Hornsby) helped land on death row. But with only days until his sentence is carried out, Ferren’s claim that his crime was in self defense against a pair of “monsters” begins to sound less and less like the rantings of a lunatic to the man that put him away. Gedrick’s recent TV credits include Luck, Necessary Roughness and Desperate Housewives, though he is arguably best known for his roles on Boomtown and Murder One. He can next be seen playing the manager of a Miami-area gentlemen’s club that becomes linked to a high-profile murder case in the upcoming seventh season of Dexter. Grimm resumes its second season this Friday at 9/8c. Gedrick’s episode will air later this fall.

Former champ Sanders killed

Corrie Sanders, the South African southpaw who knocked out Wladimir Klitschko in one of the great upsets in heavyweight boxing, has died after being shot by robbers at a restaurant during a family celebration. The former WBO and WBU champion was 46. Sanders was shot in the hand and stomach at a family member's 21st birthday party at the restaurant in Brits, in South Africa's North West province, on Saturday night, police said. He died in a hospital in the capital city of Pretoria in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said three armed men entered the restaurant with the apparent intention to rob it and shot randomly, hitting Sanders. No other injuries were reported. The robbers took a cellphone and a bag from customers, Ngubane said. No arrests had been made but a murder investigation has been opened. Renowned for his hand speed, the 6-foot-4 Sanders was one of South Africa's most successful and popular fighters after a nearly 20-year professional career. He retired in 2008 with a 42-4 record, with 31 knockouts. But he was most remembered for the shocking second-round knockout of Klitschko in Germany in 2003 that earned him the WBO title and respect across the world as a wily, fast and clever fighter and powerful puncher. It is one of only three losses for the Ukrainian and current WBO champion. Sanders agreed to the fight on short notice and was a 40-1 underdog. The result was voted as the upset of the year by Ring Magazine. He then lost to Wladimir's older brother Vitali for the vacant WBC title the following year, Vitali's first fight for the title he still holds. Sanders had earlier relinquished his WBU crown in a seventh-round stoppage by Hasim Rahman after being ahead in their fight in 2000. Born in Pretoria, Sanders began his professional boxing career in 1989 with a first-round TKO of King Kong Dyubele. Eighteen of the fast-starting Sanders' 31 career knockouts came in the first round. Sanders hung up his gloves in 2008 after being knocked out by Osborne Machimana for the South African heavyweight title - in the first round.

Sharon Stone Hospitalized in Italy
After attending a Fendi fashion show on Friday, actress Sharon Stone had a headache so painful she had to be hospitalized -- but luckily, she recovered in time to host a major AIDS research fundraiser on Saturday. In Italy for Milan fashion week, Stone was understandably concerned about the headaches, particularly given the fact that she suffered a potentially life-threatening brain aneurysm in 2001, characterized by severe headaches. "Thank you. I feel fine and I'm good and I've got a clean bill of health and I'm happy to be here," she said on Saturday at the fundraiser for American Foundation for AIDS Research. "I'm totally happy to be here for something so meaningful to me.""Wild horses couldn't keep her away," the Foundation said in a statement.

Green Day's Armstrong getting treatment
Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong is headed to treatment for substance abuse. Sunday's announcement by the band's rep comes after the 40-year-old frontman had a meltdown onstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Friday. As Green Day was wrapping up its performance during the all-star, two-day concert, Armstrong profanely complained that the band's time was being cut short. "One minute left, one minute (expletive) left. You're gonna give me (expletive) one minute? ... I'm not (expletive) Justin Bieber, you (expletives)!" he yelled (although Bieber was not part of the night's festivities). Armstrong smashed his guitar before leaving the stage. In a statement to The Associated Press, Green Day apologized "to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival" and said its set was not cut short by Clear Channel, the host of the two-day festival. The Grammy winning band also is canceling some of its promotional appearances. It is due to release the album "Uno" on Tuesday, the follow-up to "21st Century Breakdown," released three years ago. "Uno" is the first in a trilogy of albums; the second is to be out in November, and the last in January. The band is due to kick off a nationwide tour Nov. 26 in Seattle.  Armstrong was hospitalized in early September in Bologna, Italy, for an undisclosed ailment, but recovered well enough to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 6. Since then, the band has made a series of performances, including a "Good Morning America" performance and a New York City concert for the launch of Nokia Music on Sept. 15. No interviews of the band were allowed that evening, but the band chatted with fans and Nokia and AT&T executives before performing for about two hours. It's unclear what Armstrong is receiving treatment for; in 2003, he was arrested for DUI, and has acknowledged in the past taking various drugs but has said he now eschews them. Green Day is one of rock's top acts and had huge success with its 2004 politically charged album "American Idiot," which went on to become a Broadway musical. Armstrong performed for a stretch in the musical.
Nineties nostalgia fans, rejoice: the Full House gang is back together! It's been 25 years since primetime viewers first got a glimpse at a different kind of all-American family on Full House, but on Saturday, Uncle Jesse, two-thirds of the Tanner trio and even Gibbler got together in L.A. The reunion brought together the patchwork San Francisco family, including Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner), 36, Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), 56, John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), 49, Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), 30, Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis), 48, Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler), 36, Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), 53, and Scott Weinger (Steve Hale), 36. But it wasn't quite a full house: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (who shared the role of little Michelle Tanner) missed the festivities in honor of the ABC sitcom that began in 1987.

'End of Watch' and 'House at the End of the Street' tie with $13 million, ahead of 'Trouble with the Curve'; 'Dredd 3D' bombs

The box office blues continued during this sad September weekend, when four new releases entered theaters, yet none surpassed $13 million. In fact, September 2012 is proving to be one of the slowest months at the movies in a decade. Tied for first place was Open Road’s Jake Gyllenhaal/Michael Pena crime drama End of Watch, which earned an estimated $13.0 million out of 2,730 theaters, yielding a mild per-theater average of $4,762.  The critically reviled horror film The House at the End of the Street finished in a dead heat with End of Watch, as it also earned an estimated $13.0 million, giving it a tepid per theater average of $4,227.  Just outside the Top 5, Lionsgate’s Dredd 3D flopped with $6.3 million from 2,506 theaters, giving it an awful per theater average of $2,514. 1. End of Watch – $13.0 million
1. The House at the End of the Street – $13.0 million
3. Trouble with the Curve – $12.7 million
4. Finding Nemo – $9.4 million
5. Resident Evil: Retribution – $6.7 million
5. Dredd 3D – $6.3 million
7. The Master – $5.0 million

Three injured in Aurora theater shooting file lawsuit against Cinemark

Three people wounded in the shooting that killed 12 people at a Colorado theater have filed lawsuits alleging the exit door the gunman used to enter the building should have had an alarm. Two lawsuits were filed Friday in U.S. District Court on behalf of Denise Traynom, Brandon Axelrod and Joshua Nowlan. Their attorney, former Denver judge Christina Habas, declined to comment. A spokeswoman for Cinemark USA Inc. had no immediate comment. The lawsuits filed against the subsidiary of Cinemark Holdings Inc. are believed to be the first. They were filed the same day the company revealed plans to refurbish and reconfigure the theater and have it ready to open by the beginning of 2013. James Holmes, 24, is accused of killing 12 people and wounding 58 others during a special midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. Prosecutors allege the former University of Colorado, Denver, graduate student left the theater through a back exit, propped open the exit door and re-entered the theater to begin the shooting. The lawsuits claim Holmes was able to move his car into position after he left the theater through the back exit. In addition to failing to have alarmed exit doors, the lawsuits claim Cinemark was negligent in failing to hire extra security for the midnight showing or generally protect patrons who were sitting in a darkened theater. They also say Cinemark failed to help evacuate the theater even after the shooting ended. The lights were either off or very low even after the gunfire stopped, according to the lawsuit. Traynom was wounded in the buttocks, while Axelrod suffered bone injuries to his right knee and ankle. Nowlan’s right arm was nearly severed by a bullet, and he was also wounded in his left leg. Meanwhile, Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan was celebrating the announcement that Cinemark will reopen the theater. Cinemark President and CEO Tim Warner advised Hogan of the company’s intention by letter before the lawsuits were filed. In a statement, Hogan said there has been overwhelming support to reopen the theater. “We will always remember those who lost their lives and the many others impacted that day. While no one will ever forget that day, this is another step in the community’s healing,” Hogan said. In a letter to Cinemark, the mayor asked that special provisions be made for a victim and survivor visitation, memorials, and a change to the outside appearance of the building.

LMFAO is breaking up, sort of

LMFAO‘s Redfoo said that he and his partner-slash-nephew Sky Blu are taking a bit of a break. Redfoo says he and Sky Blu — who is not only his bandmate but also blood relatie — are taking a break to focus on, um, whatever it is people named Redfoo and Sky Blu do in their spare time.“I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years.” Redfoo said in the interview. “And we’re kind of like saying, well, let’s just do what’s natural and just kind of explore that, instead of, like, forcing it all the time.” He went on to say the two are going in ”different directions” creatively. “I think that we naturally just started hanging with two different sets of people, two different crowds, but we’re always family,” he said. “He’ll always be my nephew, I’ll always be his uncle.” Which is good, because we were beginning to worry there’d be an awkward Thanksgiving at Berry Gordy‘s house this year! He’s also going to record a song for the New England Patriots, saying that “they asked me to write a song for their season.” And what will Redfoo’s solo work sound like? “All the music that I’m going to make is always going to be LMFAO-ish … I love all the topics that we talk about,” he said. “I was really passionate about bringing party music to the world, so I will always be making some kind of party music.”
