Amy Winehouse Died From Too Much Alcohol
The sudden July 23 passing of Amy Winehouse was ruled "death by misadventure" by British coroner Suzanne Greenaway. Just 27 at the time of her death, Winehouse died as a result of drinking too much alcohol, Greenaway said. "She had consumed sufficient alcohol... and the unintended consequence of such potentially fatal levels was her sudden and unexpected death," Greenaway said. A pathologist reported that an autopsy performed on the "Rehab" singer revealed that her blood-alcohol level (416mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood) was 4.5 times over the legal drunk-driving limit. Winehouse's doctor, Dr. Christina Romete, said that the star "resumed drinking" in the days before her death after a long period of abstinence. She apparently relapsed just one day before her body was found.
  Bruce Willis 56, and his 35-year-old model wife, Emma Heming, are expecting their first child together. The baby is reportedly due in early 2012. Willis is already dad to daughters Rumer, 23, Scout, 20, and Tallulah, 17, with ex-wife Demi Moore.

Patrice O'Neal suffers a stroke

Patrice O’Neal, the actor/comedian who recently was part of the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen, suffered a stroke last week. Fellow comic Jim Norton announced the sad news during the Opie and Anthony radio show, which O’Neal often frequents, on Wednesday morning. Norton told the hosts and listeners of the program, “We don’t know how he is. We don’t know how he’s going to be. I didn’t want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you.”

James Van Der Beek and wife expecting second child

Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly, are expecting their second child. The actor broke the news last night by tweeting, “Just when we thought we couldn’t feel any more blessed, it seems the universe has plans to give our daughter a sibling… #humbled.” The couple already have a daughter, Olivia, who was born in September of last year. Van Der Beek will next be seen on TV in January, playing a fictionalized version of himself on the show Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23.

Hard work really does pay off. While Leonardo DiCaprio was the highest-grossing actor of 2010, bringing in $1.1 billion at the box office, and Johnny Depp was close behind with $1.03 billion, one actor can't be matched when it comes to all-time box office revenue. According to Guinness World Records, Samuel L. Jackson is the highest-grossing actor of all time. Over the span of his career, his films have pulled in $7.4 billion. The actor has appeared in more than 100 films since garnering critical acclaim in Spike Lee's 1991 movie "Jungle Fever," and thanks to hits such as "Jurassic Park," "Pulp Fiction" "Iron Man" and the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy, Jackson is king of the box office. The star has averaged four films a year over the past 20 years, making six in 2010 and four in 2011 and signing on for three next year. He's currently starring as Martin Luther King Jr. in the Broadway production "The Mountaintop."

Eddie Murphy speaks: Why he's quitting family movies – and may return to stand-up

After years of near-silence, Eddie Murphy gives a rare extensive print interview in the new issue of Rolling Stone. In the Q&A, Murphy opens up to senior writer Brian Hiatt about the ups and downs of his long career, his possible return to stand-up, his Oscar hosting plans and much more. **Murphy says that his days of making family movies may be over. "I don't have any interest in that right now," he says. "There's really no blueprint, but I'm trying to do some edgy stuff. And I only want to do what I really want to do, otherwise I'm content to sit here and play my guitar all day. I always tell people now that I'm a semi-retired gentleman of leisure, and occasionally I'll go do some work to break the boredom up." **Murphy has decided not to make 'Beverly Hills Cop IV.' "They're not doing it," he says. "What I'm trying to do now is produce a TV show starring Axel Foley's son, and Axel is the chief of police now in Detroit. I'd do the pilot, show up here and there. None of the movie scripts were right; it was trying to force the premise. If you have to force something, you shouldn't be doing it. It was always a rehash of the old thing. It was always wrong." **Murphy hasn't performed stand-up since the late 1980s, but recently, he's given some thought to trying again. "If I ever get back onstage, I'm going to have a really great show for you all," he says. "An hour and a half of stand-up and about 40 minutes of my sh---y band... But I haven't done it since I was 27, so why f--k with it? But that's just weighing both sides. It comes up too much for me to not do it again. It's like, when it hits me, I'll do it, eventually." Chris Brown, Josh Holloway starring in 'Planet B Boy'

Singer Chris Brown is starring with "Lost" actor Josh Holloway in "Planet B Boy," Screen Gems announced Wednesday. Laz Alonso ("Avatar," "Fast & Furious"), Josh Peck ("The Wackness," "Red Dawn") and Caity Lotz ("Mad Men," "Law & Order: LA") also star. The film is based on Benson Lee's 2007 documentary about breakdancing.

Kim Kardashian Says Married Life So Far Has ‘Not Been Ideal’

They tied the knot just two months ago, but speculation is already running rampant that the marriage between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries is on the rocks -- and although Kim admits there's been tension, she seems to think what they're experiencing is only natural given the circumstances. "It's not been ideal because you're newlyweds and you want privacy," Kim said while celebrating her 31st birthday in Las Vegas with her family and hubby. Alone time is something the couple's packed schedule has hardly allowed for since their wedding. Living in a New York hotel suite while filming "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," the newlyweds shared the intimate space with Kourtney, her boyfriend and their 22-month-old son Mason. Sharing a hotel room with family, including a toddler, is hardly an "ideal" honeymoon for anyone, even a family as close-knit as the Kardashians. "It's a tough crowd," Khloe said, speaking of her own family. "I think it's just a lot of transition [for him]." Khloe, however, remains confident the two can overcome the rough start. "It's a work in progress," she says of her older sister's marriage. "I really think he's a nice guy, and he loves her."
