Kim Kardashian: Why I Filed for Divorce from Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian is opening up – just a little – about why she's ending her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries. "I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision," she says in a statement. "I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best." Kardashian, 31, cited "irreconcilable differences" in her Los Angeles Superior Court filing on Monday, saying the couple have a prenuptial agreement and asking the court to deny spousal support to Humphries. "All of us at E! are surprised and saddened by this news, and we send our support to Kim and Kris at this difficult time," the network that airs the family's reality shows said in a statement. "The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions. E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family." The NBA player says he's reeling from Kim Kardashian's decision to file for divorce after just 72 days of marriage. "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce," he said in a statement Monday. In August, Humphries, 26, and Kardashian, 31, exchanged vows in front of friends and family during a lavish ceremony at a private estate in Montecito, Calif., in front of 440 guests.

Adele Is Not Suffering from Throat Cancer

Yes, Adele is undergoing surgery on her vocal chords – but it's not because she has cancer, as some have speculated. "We would like to reiterate that Adele is to undergo surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord," her rep said in a statement Monday in response to rumors on Twitter that the British singer has throat cancer. "All reports regarding any other condition are 100% false." Adele, 23, has subsequently canceled the remainder of her North American tour, in addition to several dates in the U.K. The Grammy winner, who released her chart-topping sophomore album 21 in February, has previously expressed her disappointment, blogging on Oct. 4, "I'm heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again I'm experiencing problems with my voice." The singer's surgery is imminent, and doctors have ordered her to rest before performing again, while a statement on her official website says that "a full recovery is expected."

Rihanna scraps show after being hospitalized with flu
Rihanna scrapped a show in Sweden on Monday after she was hospitalized with a nasty bout of influenza. The "Umbrella" beauty was set to perform the latest date on her Loud Tour in Malmo, but fell ill and was taken to a nearby medical center. The singer has been hooked up to an intravenous drip in a bid to replenish fluids, and she uploaded a snap of herself in a hospital bed on Twitter.com while apologizing to her fans for cancelling the show. A statement from the singer reads, "I am sorry to everyone who was coming to my show in Malmo. I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time ... so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh!"

Michael Lohan Behind Bars Again
Michael Lohan will have some time to recover from jumping from the roof of a motel earlier in the week. He'll just have to do it in jail. A judge in Hillsborough County, Fla., denied bail to Lindsay Lohan's dad in a hearing Saturday morning.  He was arrested twice last week all stemming from a domestic violence case involving his girlfriend, Kate Major. Major attended his bail hearing on Friday and when Judge Denise Pomponio asked her if she thought Lohan posed a threat to her, she answered, "absolutely."  In the meantime, Lohan is on the hook for child support to a kid in Montana he allegedly fathered. A warrant was issued last November when he allegedly fell behind on payments, and according to records that warrant is still outstanding.A rep for the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office said Lohan will be arrested on sight if he shows up in NYC, Nassau County or Suffolk County.

A former film editor for Jon & Kate Plus 8 has been charged with 10 counts of sex exploitation of a minor. William Blankinship, 56, was arrested on October 21st in North Carolina as part of the State Bureau of Investigation sting known as "Operation Spyglass."  Twenty-four men were given felony charges for the possession and distribution of child pornography and/or sexual acts with a minor. Blankenship worked on four of TLC’s top-rated family shows featuring children, including Jon & Kate Plus 8, Kate Plus 8, 17 Kids and Counting and Table for 12. William was never directly employed by TLC, but was a subcontractor from the production company Figure 8 Films who say they have fired him and that he was never directly involved with any of the talent in any of the productions.  No bond was issued and that means he will be held until convicted and sentenced.
