©thewb.com/ Michael O'Hare  "Babylon 5" star Michael O'Hare has died at the age of 60. The actor, who starred as Commander Jeffrey Sinclair in the sci-fi series, passed away on Friday, five days after he suffered a heart attack and slipped into a coma. "Babylon 5" creator J. Michael Straczynski has paid tribute to O'Hare, calling his loss a terrible blow. He writes in a post on Facebook, "This is a terrible loss for all B5 ['Babylon 5'] fans, and everyone involved with the show wishes to convey their condolences to the O'Hare family. He was an amazing man." O'Hare was a regular cast member in the first season of "Babylon 5," and he also made appearances in the second and third seasons. His TV work also included roles in "Law & Order," "L.A. Law" and soap opera "One Life to Live," and "Tales From the Crypt." On the stage, O'Hare won acclaim in the role of Colonel Jessup in the stage version of "A Few Good Men" before Jack Nicholson made the role familiar to movie audiences in the 1992 motion picture version of the play.

Arnold Schwarzenegger On 60 Minutes: I Kept Many Secrets From Maria Shriver
Arnold Schwarzenegger says his lifelong penchant for secrecy and ability to put his emotions “on deep freeze” led him to keep many secrets from his wife Maria Shriver, eventually causing the dissolution of their marriage when he was forced to admit he fathered a child with the family’s housekeeper years earlier. Throughout their strained 25-year marriage, Schwarzenegger says he did not want to tell Shriver about crucial life decisions such as major heart surgery and running for California governor because he feared she would overreact and tell her well-connected family and friends. In his new autobiography, “Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story,” and in an interview airing Sunday on “60 Minutes,” the former California governor acknowledges that his inability to be honest with people has hurt those closest to him. “That’s the way I handle things. And it always has worked. But, I mean it does not — it’s not the best thing for people around me because I sometimes — some information I just keep to myself,” Schwarzenegger tells reporter Lesley Stahl on “60 Minutes.” The former Mr. Universe traces his detachment to his bodybuilding days, where he says emotions make athletes lose. “So I became an expert in living in denial,” says the Hollywood action star and former governor. Schwarzenegger praises Shriver throughout the book as a partner and friend who was essential to his success, but also admits to keeping her in the dark about many career decisions. Shriver filed for divorce in July. Although he had been toying with the idea of running for governor for more than a year, Schwarzenegger waited until just days before the filing deadline for the 2003 recall to discuss it with Shriver, writing in the book that he “didn’t want endless conversation about it at home.” Shriver opposed the idea, but was persuaded to soften her stance by her mother, Eunice Shriver, who told her to support her husband’s ambitions, or he might resent her for the rest of his life. Despitethat struggle, he also didn’t inform her when he decided to seek a second term, writing that she had to read about it in the newspaper. “Total Recall” will officially be published Monday. The Associated Press purchased an early copy. But Schwarzenegger’s biggest secret, the child he had with the family’s housekeeper, became tabloid news last year after he left office. Shriver confronted him during a January 2011 counseling session and he finally acknowledged the boy, Joseph, was his. Schwarzenegger says he kept the secret from his wife for years because he was worried “it would get out.” He tells Stahl he never even had a conversation with the housekeeper, Mildred Baena, about the son. Instead, after he began noticing the boy’s strong resemblance to him, around age 8, he just began giving Baena extra money.  There were other deceptions, too, including a “hot affair” with actress Brigitte Nielsen while filming the 1985 film “Red Sonja,” when he and Shriver were living together. He admits to other affairs, but tells Stahl they are “something that’s obviously between Maria and me.”
Ultimate on-screen princess Anne Hathaway finally got her fairy-tale ending when she married actor-jewelry designer Adam Shulman Saturday night. And she looked every bit the royal. "The wedding was lovely and Anne looked gorgeous," a source said of the bride, 29, who stunned in a custom Valentino gown. "She looked very pretty." Like the wedding's backdrop, the natural, scenic Big Sur on the California coast, Hathaway's look seemed otherwise understated. The Dark Knight Rises star kept her cropped pixie cut from Les Misérables for the big day, forgoing any hair extensions. She wore no jewelry, says the source. To accessorize, she donned a 1920s-inspired headband attached to a simple veil. Also low-key: the guest list. "It was just friends and family," adds the source. "No movie stars. There were only a few people in the business there, like her stunt double."

George Michael cancels shows to seek treatment
George Michael has canceled a series of shows in Australia as he struggles to recover from his health crisis last year.  The singer has canceled dates Down Under and confirmed he will be seeking treatment for "anxiety" issues relating to his near-fatal bout of pneumonia and prolonged hospital stint in Austria, which forced him to cut short his 2011 European tour.  Michael has offered his apologies to his Australian fans and written a note of explanation in a post on his official website. He writes, "I have today announced the cancelation of the shows in Australia which breaks my heart. By way of explanation all I can say at this time is that since last year's illness I have tried in vain to work my way through the trauma that the doctors who saved my life warned me I would experience. "They recommended complete rest and the type of post traumatic counselling which is available in cases like mine but I'm afraid I believed (wrongly) that making music and getting out there to perform for the audiences that bring me such joy would be therapy enough in itself. "Unfortunately I seriously underestimated how difficult this year would be... I was wrong to think I could work my way through the major anxiety that has plagued me since I left Austria last December." Michael reveals he will be seeking professional help after finishing his current British gigs and hopes to be back on the road soon.  The canceled Australia dates include stops in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Michael is due to conclude his U.K. shows in London on Oct. 17.

Rick Ross and Young Jeezy involved in brawl at BET Hip-Hop Awards

Saturday night’s taping of the BET Hip-Hop Awards (not to be confused with the BET Awards, which aired two months ago) went from sentimental to chaotic in an instant. A heartfelt tribute to late hip-hop impresario Chris Lighty transitioned into an ugly brawl between entourages representing rappers Rick Ross and Young Jeezy. Late Saturday night, a conflict erupted between Ross and Jeezy backstage at the Atlanta Civic Center. “Jeezy and Rick Ross just had words backstage!! Pushing and shoving,” tweeted legendary New York DJ Funkmaster Flex following the initial incident. According to a police report, the conflict continued into the parking lot of the Civic Center, and police were called. The Atlanta cops dispersed the crowd using pepper spray, and no arrests were made. There were initial reports of shots fired during the melee, though Atlanta police deny that any guns went off. Ross protege Gunplay was also involved in the dispute, and though he was detained by police for questioning, he was not arrested. On Sunday morning, BET released a statement that said, “BET Networks works very hard to bring the best in entertainment to the city of Atlanta. For the past seven years BET has celebrated the true art form of hip-hop. Due to some misjudgment of select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place. BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.”
The awards, which were hosted by Mike Epps, will air on Oct. 9 on BET.

Lindsay Lohan Allegedly Assaulted In NYC Hotel

The actress was allegedly assaulted in her hotel room at the W in Manhattan early Sunday morning by a 25-year-old man she met at 1 Oak nightclub. Lohan stated she got into an argument with the man — identified by authorities as Los Angeles resident Christian LaBella — (after she brought him and her friend, Claus Hjelmbak, back to her room) over pictures LaBella allegedly took of the actress with his cell phone. Lohan attempted to take the phone from LaBella, and told police he then threw her on the bed, scratching her hands. The actress said she then ran from the room and down hotel stairs, but eventually returned. LaBella allegedly saw her, gave chase, choked her from behind and threw her to the ground. Lohan’s friend pulled LaBella off of the actress, and the actress pulled hotel’s fire alarm to bring help.  The actress’ rep said Lohan is safe after the alleged assault and did not require hospitalization. “Lindsay was assaulted early this morning in a New York hotel,” Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, said in a statement on Sunday. “While she did sustain some injuries, she was not hospitalized. The assailant was arrested and is currently in police custody. Lindsay has spoken with police and is fully cooperating with the investigation.” Christian LaBella has been released by police after assault charges against him were dropped. A harassment report was filed against him, and LaBella also filed a harassment report against Lohan.  Regarding the report of assault charges against LaBella being dropped and the filing of a harassment report against Lohan, the actress’ rep said on Sunday afternoon, “It is both distressing and outrageous.” LaBella, is a California resident who works for the office of Republican Congressman John Shimkus of Illinois. He's also the nephew of comedian Heather McDonald, a regular on "Chelsea Lately." A spokesperson for Shimkus confirmed LaBella has worked for the congressman, adding, "Obviously, the congressman does not condone his actions." LaBella's Facebook page also features photos of him posing with Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan and with Kim Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner. It’s the second incident involving police for Lohan in New York City this month. Earlier this month, she was accused of hitting a pedestrian as she was behind the wheel of a Porsche. Lohan was arrested and issued a desk appearance ticket after allegedly leaving the scene of the incident. Following the incident, Lohan’s rep said that he believed the claim was “much ado about nothing” and he expected the claims made against the actress to be “proven untrue.”

Jay-Z Christens Barclays Center With Brooklyn Love

The newly built Barclays Center is the home of the Brooklyn Nets, and the team’s co-owner, Jay-Z, christened the venue Friday night in uniform, sporting a Nets hat and jersey as he rapped two dozen jams onstage in front of thousands. Jay-Z performed for an excited and rowdy crowd of 18,000, wearing a jersey that featured his last name, Carter, and the number four. It was his first of eight shows at the venue. As he emerged onstage, a video highlighting some of Brooklyn’s historical moments — like when it was named an official borough of New York City — played in the background. There were also pictures of famous faces who were born in Brooklyn, from Michael Jordan to Al Capone to Aaliyah to Adam Yauch of Beastie Boys. Jay-Z opened the show with the hometown anthems “Where I’m From,” a song about his upbringing in Brooklyn’s Marcy projects complex, and “Brooklyn Go Hard.” He followed that with a tribute to one of Brooklyn’s icons: the late Notorious B.I.G. He performed some of the rap vet’s hit “Juicy” as the crowd joined in. “Sing loud so he can hear you in heaven,” said Jay-Z, who also held a moment of silence for the rapper, who was shot to death in 1997. Another Brooklynite — Big Daddy Kane — made an appearance, performing songs like “Ain’t No Half Steppin’” and “Warm It Up, Kane.” He received a roaring cheer from the crowd when performing old-school dance moves with two dancers in all white. Jay-Z said Friday’s concert was incomparable to most of his other top-level performances, including the Grammys, Glastonbury or Coachella. “Nothing feels like tonight,” he told the crowd multiple times.  A fan in the front section held up Jackie Robinson’s Brooklyn Dodgers jersey, immediately grabbing Jay-Z’s attention. He asked the fan for it and said: “I promise I’ll give it back.” “Brooklyn had their heart broken,” he said as he held up the jersey and referred to the Dodgers leaving for Los Angeles after the 1957 baseball season. “We cried for so many years. …Look how far we’ve come.” Jay-Z will perform at Barclays through Oct. 6 with the exception of Oct. 2.
