New Kids’ Joey McIntyre Completes Boston Marathon Minutes Before Explosions

New  Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre completed the Boston Marathon on Monday, just minutes before the explosions that killed at least two and injured dozens. “There was an explosion by the finish line about 5 minutes after I finished,” Joey Tweeted on Monday afternoon. “I’m ok but I’m sure there are many hurt.”  Joey had been Tweeting earlier in the day about his joy at tackling the marathon, which he competed in for the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause close to his heart as his mother suffers from the disease. Knowing his bandmate was in the race, actor/singer Donnie Wahlberg appealed to fans on Twitter after hearing about the explosions. “Please reach out if you hear that @joeymcintyre is ok!!!!! Please say a prayer for everyone in Boston!” Donnie Tweeted. After learning of Joey’s safety, Donnie, also from Boston, asked for prayers for the people of their hometown city. “Just heard that @joeymcintyre is ok! Thanks to everyone for tweeting! Scared for everyone else in Boston. #PrayerForBoston please,” Donnie wrote.

Lauryn Hill stepped out of the spotlight after receiving threats

Singer Lauryn Hill stepped away from her music career and "withdrew from society at large" after receiving "very real threats to herself and her family," according to court documents. The former Fugees star is currently awaiting sentence after pleading guilty to charges of failing to file her tax returns between 2005 and 2007, and she has lodged legal papers in a New Jersey court asking for leniency due to extenuating circumstances. In the documents, Hill reveals she stopped paying her taxes and became a recluse after allegedly receiving threats to herself and her family. The papers, state "she (Hill) withdrew from society at large due to what she perceived as manipulation and very real threats to herself and her family." Hill is accused of owing more than $1.6 million and faces three years in prison when a judge announces her sentence on April 22, but she has asked for probation instead of jail time so can work towards paying off her debts more quickly.

Kevin Hart: DUI Was ‘A Wake Up Call For Me’

Kevin Hart was arrested for DUI over the weekend, something he is calling an awakening. The comedian/actor confirmed the arrest on Twitter. “When the cop asked me to take the sobriety test I said ‘WHY WASTE OUR TIME…I’M DRUNK MAN,’” the 32 year old wrote.  “drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter. People have lost lives because of stupid s*** [like] this!” he continued. “This is a wake up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn’t….everything happens for a reason.” The comedian also poked some fun at his arrest, writing , “I did 6,000 push ups & 13,000 sit ups while I was in the pin….shout out to my celly “Mark” we exchanged war stories LMFAO” Hart was pulled over early Sunday morning on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles.  He was reportedly driving erratically and almost hit a gas tanker while going over 90 MPH. Hart failed a field sobriety test and was booked for misdemeanor DUI. He was released Sunday afternoon on a $5,000 bond.

Sharon Osborne says Marriage is Fine

Sharon Osbourne's representative has dismissed reports the star's marriage to Ozzy Osbourne is in trouble. Editors at Britain's The Sun ran an article on Sunday claiming the couple has been living apart and had not seen each other in three weeks. Photographs also show the Black Sabbath star and his wife without their wedding rings. A spokesperson for the family matriarch has confirmed Sharon Osbourne is living in a hotel for "work" purposes, while her husband is busy with his band, but insisted their marriage is fine despite arguments between the pair.

Ozzy Osbourne denies marriage split rumors

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne has denied rumors of a split from his wife Sharon and apologized to his family for returning to drink and drugs. The former Black Sabbath singer says he was in a "dark place" but has been sober for 44 days. In a message posted Tuesday on his Facebook page, 64-year-old Osbourne said that "for the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs." He said "I was in a very dark place" and apologized for his "insane behavior." "I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period ... and my fans," wrote Osbourne. Osbourne added: "Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing."

Aubrey Plaza Escorted Out Of MTV Movie Awards After Crashing Will Ferrell’s Speech

Caption“Parks and Recreation” star Aubrey Plaza rushed the stage on Sunday night at the MTV Movie Awards during Will Ferrell’s Comedic Genius Award speech, prompting many to wonder if the bit was rehearsed. The answer is apparently, no. While Will was speaking, the actress appeared on stage and attempted to take his golden popcorn award. “What’s happening?” Will asked as the actress tugged on his award. “Are you okay?” “Yup,” the actress – who had “#TheToDoList” scrawled across her chest – said, as she gave up on her attempt to snatch his award and returned to her seat. But Will didn’t let the moment faze him. “Aubrey Plaza, everyone,” Will joked. “Just like we rehearsed it. Perfect, it was perfect. Not too long, not too short. Right on the money.”  If the bit left the audience scratching their heads, they weren’t the only ones, as Will was also a bit confused. “Well I went up there and I started talking and Aubrey Plaza ran up onstage,” he told MTV backstage. “And I think she wanted to tell me something important, but there was no message. It was just a lot of hot liquor breath. And, then, and a little bit of sweat. And then she ran away. But the ship sailed on.” MTV News reported that during the next commercial break, Aubrey – who was cooperative – was escorted out of the MTV Movie Awards by security and then off of the Sony Pictures Studios lot, where the show took place. The actress was reportedly also the last star to arrive on the red carpet and emerged from a holding room with “#TheToDoList” (the name of her upcoming movie) just moments before the show started. After the incident Aubrey wrote on Twitter, “thanks for the advice @kanyewest went better than planned! #mtvmovieawards #chrisbosh #thesecret.”

Court Upholds Sentencing Increase Of Michael Douglas’ Son On Drug Charges

CaptionA federal appeals court in New York has upheld a judge’s decision to nearly double the five-year prison sentence given to the son of actor Michael Douglas. Cameron Douglas had been sentenced in 2010 to five years in prison in a cooperation deal after pleading guilty to narcotics distribution. But Douglas committed several drug infractions in prison, and Judge Richard Berman boosted the sentence in late 2011. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Monday that Berman gave adequate reasons to justify the “unusually long sentence.” The 34-year-old Douglas is scheduled for release in 2018. The appeals judges also say the nation may be better served by a medical approach to treating addiction. But they add that current laws must be enforced until then.

Garth Brooks Sued

Lisa Sanderson -- who worked with Garth for 20 years -- claims in her uber-colorful lawsuit that -- although Brooks passes himself off as "a humble and highly principled 'everyman'" -- he's actually a "paranoid, angry, deceitful and vindictive man who will turn against those closest to him on a dime." Sanderson alleges she was a successful TV producer whom Brooks lured to jump start his TV and movie career.  But she claims Brooks was his own worst enemy, killing deals with Disney, Fox and others by making ridiculous demands. Sanderson says Brooks torpedoed a bunch of great opportunities because of his unbridled megalomania.  For example, she says Brooks was offered an acting gig to appear as a sniper in "Saving Private Ryan," but he refused because "he wanted to be the star and was unwilling to share the limelight with ... Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, and Edward Burns." And then there was the movie "Twister."  Sanderson says Brooks nixed a chance to play a bad guy because he didn't want to play second fiddle to a tornado. As for Sanderson, she says Brooks screwed her in the salary, bonus and profits department, allegedly lying to her about the pot of gold she'd get if she stuck around. In the lawsuit, filed by Marty Singer and Allison Hart, Sanderson wants $425,000 in unpaid bonus and salary, as well as punitive damages.
