There's a baby on the way for Uma Thurman. The actress, 41, is set to welcome her first child with financier Arpad Busson, a rep for Thurman confirmed. Thurman, whose bump went unnoticed when she stepped out for New York Fashion Week earlier this month, has two children – daughter Maya, 13, and son Levon, 10 – with ex-husband Ethan Hawke. She and Busson, 49, began dating in 2007 and, after a brief split in 2009, have been together since. Thurman will soon appear in a five-episode arc in NBC's drama Smash.

Youth coach suspended for calling Whitney the N-word

Youth baseball president and coach John Kelly says he's not racist, but he has been suspended for a season for posting a racial slur online. Kelly has been suspended, but not banned, from the league in Oak Lawn, Ill., for writing, "I'm so sick of reading about this dumb stupid N - - - - - Whitney Houston" on Facebook following the singer's Feb. 11 death. When confronted about the post, Kelly responded that he isn't a racist because he has "some amazing friends who are black." Maybe he's learned the error of his ways, as he's now headed to sensitivity classes.
Danica Patrick Crashes in Daytona Debut Danica Patrick got her first Daytona 500 race off to a nasty start. The racer, 29, crashed her green car on the second lap in an accident that also involved Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Elliott Sadler and other drivers. "Wow," exclaims the NASCAR.com blog. "The wreck was triggered when Elliott Sadler shoved Johnson." Patrick didn't appear to be hurt as her car got struck in the rear and shot sparks before she steered it off the track to safety. "Danica made two great dodges to avoid worse damage," noted USA Today's blog. The crash sent the car to the garage for repairs while the race went on without Patrick.

Barry Sanders getting divorce
Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders has filed for divorce from TV presenter Lauren Sanders after 11 years of marriage. The 43-year-old Detroit Lions great is seeking joint custody of the couple's three boys, aged 10, 8 and 4. The filing, which was made Friday in Michigan's Oakland County Circuit Court, cites a breakdown in marital relations as the reason for the divorce. Lauren Sanders works as a weekend anchor for WDIV-TV Channel 4. They were married in November 2000 in Detroit. Barry Sanders, a Heisman Trophy winner and 10-time Pro Bowl selection, rushed for 15,269 yards over 10 seasons, and sits third on the all-time list behind Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton. He retired in 1999 and entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004. His No. 20 has been retired by the Lions.

Receiver Manningham Says He’s 75% Sure He’ll Leave Giants
New York Giants receiver Mario Manningham is “75 percent” certain he will be playing for a different National Football League team next season. "I'm ready for whatever, man, I am ready for whatever," Manningham told the Youngstown News upon his return to his hometown in Ohio to receive a plaque and keys to the city at his Warren Harding High alma mater. "If it ain't there, it's somewhere else."Manningham went on to say he is "75 percent" sure he will not return to the Giants and will instead sign elsewhere. Reese, at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, admitted preliminary talks with Manningham were not productive and that he expects the four-year receiver will hit the open market. He had touchdown receptions in each of the first three playoff games and came up huge in Super Bowl XLVI, with his over-the-shoulder 38-yard catch along the left sideline sparking the game-winning touchdown drive as the Giants came back to beat the Patriots 21-17. There will be teams willing to pay Manningham more than the Giants are willing to offer, especially considering they will likely have to make a salary adjustment for Victor Cruz, who emerged as a star and supplanted Manningham in the starting lineup.

Nicollette Sheridan wrongful termination trial begins

Nicollette Sheridan and "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry have finally taken their dispute to court. Sheridan has sued Cherry and ABC because she believes he killed off her character after the two scuffled during rehearsals. The trial could last around 11 days thanks to each side's multitude of witnesses, including stars and executives from the series. Initially Sheridan sued for $20 million in damages for sexual and gender harassment, assault and battery, infliction of emotional distress, wrongful termination and more charges, but pre-trial motions have narrowed down the list of charges to wrongful termination and battery. If Sheridan wins, she could collect around $4 million, the equivalent of one year's salary. Sheridan alleges that after she complained to ABC execs that Chery struck her in the head during a 2008 rehearsal, her character, Edie Britt, was killed off a couple of months later as a retaliation for complaining.

TV NEWS
FOX has announced a scheduling shake-up for the spring 2012 programming. Kiefer Sutherland's "Touch" has been pushed back a few days to Thursday, March 22 at 9 p.m. (from its previous premiere date of March 19), following the "American Idol" results show. Then in April, "Bones" returns, but not to Thursdays. Your favorite crime-solving team is moving to Monday nights at 8 p.m. And the Booth/Brennan baby is about to come bouncing along. "Bones" joining the Monday lineup means "House" is bumped back to 9 p.m., as it starts the final set of episodes leading up to the series finale on Monday, May 21. Prior to the series finale FOX will air a one-hour retrospective special looking back at the award-winning show.

ABC’s is reinvesting in Shark Tank. The network has ordered two additional episodes of the Mark Burnett reality series for this season, raising its count to 15 hours.

First Steve Carell and now this? James Spader's tenure as CEO Robert California on NBC's "The Office" is coming to an end. The actor won't be returning for the show's ninth season -- at his own request. "James always wanted this to be a one-year arc, and he now leaves us having created one of the most enigmatic and dynamic characters in television," says executive producer Paul Lieberstein. "He's been a great friend to me and the show, helping us successfully transition into the post-Michael Scott years, and I'm grateful for that."

Former "Charlie's Angel" Lucy Liu is apparently ready for more detective work. She's signed on to star as Watson in CBS' modern take on Sherlock Holmes, "Elementary." Jonny Lee Miller is playing the titular role in the show that transplants Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's master sleuth from 19th century London to post-millennial Manhattan. the "Ally McBeal" alumna will play Joan Watson -- a former surgeon who lost her license after a patient died. To make ends meet, she apparently takes in Holmes, who is fresh out of rehab and in need of a sober companion.
