Katy Perry and Russell Brand Reach Divorce Settlement

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have reached a "comprehensive written settlement of all issues." Perry even signed the papers with her usual happy autograph – with a smiley face in her last name. With no children at issue, the agreement covers distribution of their property, Perry's papers say, and she asks that the court not be involved in awarding spousal support to Brand. Perry, 27, also seeks to legally restore her maiden name to Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson. In his own court filing, Brand, 36, also signals that they've reached a settlement, checking the boxes that say both sides "agree this cause may be decided as an uncontested matter" and they waive their rights to a trial. Brand, who married Perry in October 2010 and filed for divorce this past December, is not asking for cash from his higher-earning wife.

Halle Berry Requesting to Move to Europe
Halle Berry is asking the judge in her custody war for permission to move to France with Nahla -- and baby daddy Gabriel Aubry is saying ... over my dead body. Halle filed papers with the court requesting the move and the hearing is pending. Sources tell us Gabriel is livid because he believes the move is punitive and designed to strip him of any contact with his daughter. And Gabriel is particularly upset because Halle's longtime boyfriend Olivier Martinez will be living with Halle and Nahla if the move is approved. Halle could have an argument that it's safer for Nahla to be in Europe ... especially because her latest stalker -- who broke onto her property multiple times -- has recently been released from jail.

Country Atkins Avoids Jail
Rodney Atkins can rest easy on that pillow he allegedly tried to suffocate his wife with ... because the country star just struck a deal that will keep him out of the slammer ... if he stays out of trouble for the next 12 months. Atkins was arrested back in November after his wife claimed Rodney tried to suffocate her with a pillow after a night of hard boozing and arguing. Atkins maintained his innocence but he struck a deal with prosecutors in Tennessee, in which they agreed not to prosecute him because he completed anger management, drug and alcohol evaluations. Atkins also promised to complete 30 hours of community service and keep his nose clean for the next year. Atkins released a statement to The Tennessean saying, "I am so thankful for all those that chose to withhold judgment while keeping my family and I in their prayers. God Bless. Onward and upward.”

Fox's 'House' will end this season
Dr. House is hanging up his cane. The network will conclude the long-running medical drama House this season. “The decision to end the show now, or ever, is a painful one, as it risks putting asunder hundreds of close friendships that have developed over the last eight years — but also because the show itself has been a source of great pride to everyone involved,” said executive producers David Shore, Katie Jacobs and star Hugh Laurie in a joint statement. “The producers have always imagined House as an enigmatic creature;  he should never be the last one to leave the party. How much better to disappear before the music stops, while there is still some promise and mystique in the air.” House is produced by Universal Television and the question has been raised in the past if the studio’s sister network NBC would pick up the show if Fox cancels it. Sources say there’s no plans to take the drama to NBC, however, and NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt said last month it was unlikely the network would pick up the show given its age and cost. It also seems rather unlikely a cable network would be able to afford the show. Last year, the House renewal went down to the wire, with House getting a pickup days before Fox’s upfront presentation in May. In November, star Hugh Laurie said he expects to retire from TV acting once the show goes off the air.
After apologizing for what he called a misunderstanding, Roland Martin is out at CNN. The network announced Wednesday afternoon that the analyst would be suspended for the foreseeable future.  "Roland Martin's tweets were regrettable and offensive," reads the statement. "Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being."  Prompting all of the furor was Martin's Twitter commentary on Super Bowl commercials, particularly one about the underwear clad David Beckham (below). "If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham's H&M underwear ad," he wrote, "smack the ish out of him!"  GLAAD (Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) immediately responded by demanding his removal from the news network, though Martin insisted that his tweet was not a homophobic encouragement of violence -- but a dig at soccer fans. "Let me address the issue that some in the LGBT community have raised regarding some of my Super Bowl tweets yesterday," he wrote. "I made several cracks about soccer as I do all the time. I was not referring to sexuality directly or indirectly regarding the David Beckham ad, and I'm sorry folks took it otherwise."

Pilar and Deion's Aunt Fight
Deion Sanders' aunt Laura Jones just gave a SHOCKING blow-by-blow to her violent altercation with Pilar inside Deion's Texas mansion Monday -- admitting she grabbed Pilar's hair ... and beat the holy hell out of her. 49-year-old Laura -- who's married to Deion's uncle -- called in to Dallas K104 this morning, claiming she stopped by Deion's house to take care of some housekeeping items (a job Deion pays her to do) and Pilar flipped. According to Laura, Pilar objected to her being in the house, and demanded she "get the f**k out." The argument escalated quickly, and Laura says Pilar brushed against her in a threatening way ... so Laura responded by grabbing Pilar's hair and hitting her. Laura says Pilar then ripped Laura's dress clean off during the melee, leaving her practically naked, and tumbled backwards down the staircase. Laura says Pilar then grabbed a bunch of knives from the kitchen, and brandished them while she called 911. Right then, Laura says Deion came downstairs to see what the ruckus was about -- and Pilar yelled at the dispatcher, "My husband is attacking me!!!" According to Laura, the cops showed up minutes later -- and Pilar refused to put away the knives ... so they cuffed her and threw in the back of a cruiser. Laura says the children were present the entire time. But Laura claims charges were never filed against Pilar because Deion intervened -- and got Pilar off the hook.
