Whitney Houston details emerge, autopsy results on lockdown
The morning after Clive Davis' Grammy party turned into a celebratory tribute, details surrounding the death of Whitney Houston began to emerge. The singer was found unconscious and submerged in the bathtub of her room at the Beverly Hilton by her hairdresser Saturday afternoon. She called security, paramedics were summoned and a bodyguard attempted to resuscitate her via CPR, but Houston was declared dead at 3:55 p.m. Coroner’s official says Whitney Houston was found in a hotel bathtub but it’ll take weeks to determine precisely how she died. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told reporters Sunday afternoon that police had requested that no details about Houston’s autopsy be publicly released. He said toxicology results would take weeks and the results were needed to determine how Houston died in a room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday afternoon. Winter declined to release any details about what investigators found in the room, but said coroner’s officials were not ruling out any potential causes of death. He said there were no signs of trauma on Houston’s body. Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mark Rosen said Sunday that his agency may release more details about Houston's death Saturday afternoon on Monday, but it will depend on whether detectives feel comfortable releasing any information. The singer's death, coming on the eve of Sunday night's Grammy Awards, threw organizers and those in town for the event into a state of shocked disarray. Even as planners worked to incorporate a tribute to Houston into Sunday night's events, Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow said "a light has been dimmed in our music community today, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, fans and all who have been touched by her beautiful voice." Clive Davis said at his annual Pre-Grammy Party "Whitney was a beautiful person and a talent beyond compare," Davis said. "She graced this stage with her regal presence and gave so many memorable performances here over the years. Simply put, Whitney would have wanted the music to go on and her family asked that we carry on."Performances and tributes from artists such as Sean Combs, Tony Bennett, The Kinks, Wiz Khalifa and R&B singer Alicia Keys turned the mood into  celebration of her life. In her career, Houston sold over 170 million albums and singles worldwide, with many hit singles. Her lead single, "I Will Always Love You," became the best-selling album by a female artist in music history.

Bobbi Kristina Hospitalized for Breakdown
Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina has been released from the hospital for the second time since having a "complete breakdown" over her mother's death. The 18-year-old was admitted to Cedars Sinai Medical Center late Saturday night after she was carried on a stretcher by emergency service staff from the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where her mother died. She then returned to the hospital for a second time on Sunday morning. Bobbie Kristina was in the hotel lobby when her mother, who was found in the bathtub by a member of her entourage, was pronounced dead. Bobbi Kristina returned to Cedars around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning for continued anxiety issues. She was released later in the day. Bobbi Kristina is Houston's only child from her 15-year marriage to soul star Bobby Brown. The pair was divorced in 2007.

Bobby Brown 'Beside Himself' with Grief
Upon hearing of Whitney Houston's death on Saturday, her ex-husband, Bobby Brown, immediately began calling friends and family. "He wanted to tell everyone about it before it hit the news," one of his relatives says. "He didn't want any of us to hear about it on television." As Brown spoke to family members, the shock of Houston's sudden death turned to grief. "He could hardly get the words out when he called me," says the relative. "He was sobbing, and by the end of the call, I was sobbing too. He's beside himself right now." Brown has had no official comment on the death of Houston. A source says that Brown learned the news about his ex-wife while in Memphis, where he is currently located for a New Edition concert. He is "shattered and beyond devastated," says the source.

Although he was due to take the stage in Nashville on Sunday night, Bobby Brown instead flew to Los Angeles the day after the death of his ex-wife, Whitney Houston. Brown arrived around 9 p.m. at LAX airport with a large entourage of people. "Bobby had a blank stare and looked exhausted," said an observer. Madonna slams M.I.A. for Super Bowl middle finger

While phoning into Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show on Friday, Madonna blasted M.I.A. for flipping the bird during their Super Bowl halftime performance. "I was really surprised," the Queen of Pop told Seacrest. "I didn't know anything about it. I wasn't happy about it. I understand it's punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity, it seemed negative. It's such a teenager, irrelevant thing to do ... what was the point? It was just out of place."
