'Final Countdown' actor Farentino dies at age 73
A family spokesman says actor James Farentino, who appeared in dozens of movies and television shows, has died in a Los Angeles hospital. He was 73. Family spokesman Bob Palmer says Farentino died of heart failure after a long illness at Cedars-Sinai Hospital on Tuesday. Farentino starred alongside Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen in a 1980 science fiction film "The Final Countdown." Farentino also starred opposite Patty Duke in 1969's "Me, Natalie." He also had recurring roles on "Dynasty," "Melrose Place," "The Bold Ones: The Lawyers" and "ER," playing the estranged father to George Clooney's character. A four-time divorcee, Farentino's tumultuous personal life made headlines, too. In March 1994 he pleaded no contest to stalking his ex-girlfriend Tina Sinatra, daughter of Frank Sinatra.

Demi Moore is seeking professional help, her rep said Tuesday. "Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," her rep said in a statement. "She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends." Paramedics responded to a 911 call at Moore's home on Monday night and the actress was rushed to a local hospital after a 30-minute assessment. "I can confirm that we received an emergency call at 10:49 p.m. for an unknown illness related to that address," L.A. City Fire Dept. spokesman Matt Spence said when asked about the residence at which Moore lives. "We transported at least one patient to a local hospital. The patient was transported at 11:21 p.m." Moore, 49, split from her husband Ashton Kutcher in November. Kutcher is currently in Brazil to shoot a catalogue for the Brazilian fashion brand Colcci. As of Tuesday night, her rep said she would no longer working on the project.

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry's custody battle heats up

The tense relationship between Halle Berry and ex Gabriel Aubry has gotten even more contentious. The former couple had an emergency court hearing Tuesday, Jan. 24 over custody issues involving their 3-year-old daughter, Nahla. Berry is trying to prohibit Aubry from having contact with their daughter after he reportedly shoved the nanny while she was holding Nahla. A child endangerment investigation is underway to determine what happened -- police were called, but nobody was arrested. The judge who heard their case decided to postpone a decision until Monday, when the regular judge who handles their case gets back from his vacation. In the meantime, their regular custody rules apply as the judge has determined Nahla isn't in any immediate danger.

Whitney Houston Burns Entire Career Fortune

It seems the singer's famous song title 'I Have Nothing' may hold more truth now than people thought. The 48-year-old singer has allegedly lost all of her fortune and is now being financially supported by her record label, Arista, which has given her advance payments for her next album. Whitney's fortune is gone. Music industry heavy hitters are supporting her and her label is fronting her cash against her next album, but no one knows when that will be released,’ a source said. Apparently, Whitney's financial situation is so dire, she has had to ask friends for small loans.  The source added: 'she csalled someone to ask for $500.'  It is so sad. She should have Mariah Carey money, and she's flat broke.’The I Wanna Dance With Somebody singer signed one of the biggest record deals in history back in 2001, renewing her contract with Arista/BMG for $100million to deliver six new albums. Whitney, whose ex-husband is singer Bobby Brown, overcame a severe crack cocaine addiction, but it is thought most of her millions were spent on drug abuse and used up by her ex husband. Whitney released her last record, I Look to You, in August 2009 and, since most of her songs were written by other songwriters, she receives no on-going royalty payments like other artists do. But, hoping to make a comeback, the Grammy award-winning singer-turned-actress will appear on the big screen this summer in a remake of the film Sparkle with popstar Jordin Sparks. A spokesperson for Houston denied the latest claims when contacted.

Vanessa Paradis Addresses Johnny Depp 'Rumors'
In the days since PEOPLE reported that Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis's 14-year relationship is all but finished, the actress has been spotted solo, even hitting the red carpet alone at the premiere of her new film Café de Flore. She kept mum at her movie premiere, but on Tuesday, French TV panelist Arianne Massenet asked Paradis, 39, the million-dollar question on Le Grand Journal. "The press is going on about this separation with Johnny Depp ... How do you handle these rumors?" asked Massenet [PEOPLE's French correspondent translated the interview]."It depends which rumor," Paradis replied. "Here, this is one which could hurt my family. After that ... they say that we have 52 houses in France, we separate in winter, we get married every summer. Me, I'm in my 12th pregnancy." "All this is, I don't know, because the Queen of England didn't lose her teeth this week and there's nothing happening," Paradis continues of the coverage of her relationship with Depp, 48. "And to finish the rumors off, they are false?" asked the program's host, Michel Denisot. "Yes, they are false," she replied. Which rumors she was referring to remains unclear (or perhaps lost in translation?) But multiple sources say that Depp and Paradis's relationship is all but officially over.

Chelsea Handler Explains Split From 50 Cent
Chelsea Handler's romance with rapper 50 Cent ended after one of his former lovers made an appearance on her TV show. Now the comedienne has revealed the pair never spoke again after she hung up on him at work when he called to warn her she was set to chat with one of his ex-girlfriends. She said, "We dated for a couple months and then we had a falling out. One of his ex-girlfriends was coming onto my show. "(He called to warn me and) I was like, at my job. It was just so juvenile, I was at work. I hung up and I've never spoken to him again. I do think he's a really nice guy and I think he's smart in a certain way." The star admits the "In Da Club" hitmaker was a big hit with her superstar best pals Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. She adds, "My friends all loved him, my friends fell in love with him. They loved that I was dating him. They were like, 'Chelsea, come on.' They were both laughing really hard at it... I mean, everyone was."
