Robin Gibb Dies

Robin Gibb, one of the last members of the iconic familial pop group the Bee Gees, died Sunday. He was 62. "The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery," his rep said in a statement. "The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time." Along with his twin Maurice and brother Barry, Gibb formed the Bee Gees (in part, to stand for the Brothers Gibb), and together they recorded decades of hit songs, including the iconic Stayin' Alive. In October 2011, the Songwriting Hall of Famer fell ill with intestinal problems and was taken from his home near Thame, England, to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for tests and treatment for inflammation of the colon, his rep said. His wife Dwina – with whom he had a son, Robin-John – said at the time that she was "desperately worried" about his health, given the Gibb family history of gastrointestinal problems. Robin's twin Maurice died of intestinal complications in 2003. Gibb left the hospital four days later. In mid-April 2012, he was in a coma, the result of pneumonia, and yet rallied and regained consciousness more than a week later. Despite being best known for the songs like Stayin' Alive that helped make the 1977 John Travolta movie Saturday Night Fever such an enduring hit (and its soundtrack a 15-time platinum seller), Gibb and his brothers' career had started a decade earlier. In 1968, he married Molly Hullis, a secretary who worked for his manager, Robert Stigwood. They had two children before divorcing in 1980 after years of living separately. Despite their success, the family was not without its share of tragedy. In 1988, the Gibbs' younger brother Andy committed suicide. He was only 30. Today, only Barry is left of the famous singing clan. Up until his death, Robin was still involved in music, and in the summer of 2011 worked on a classical concept album, The Requiem For Titanic, composing it alongside his son Robin-John – although he was too ill with pneumonia to attend its London premiere, April 10, 2012.
Mark Zuckerberg Gets Married | Mark Zuckerberg A day after Mark Zuckerberg took his company, Facebook, public, the CEO updated his relationship status to "married." Zuckerberg, 28, and his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan exchanged vows at a small ceremony in their backyard attended by less than 100 guests in Palo Alto, Calif. Guests thought they were coming over for a surprise party to celebrate Chan's graduation from UCSF medical school, where on May 14 she received her degree in pediatrics. However, Zuckerberg and Chan had been planning the wedding for more than four months. The couple, who met while attending Harvard before Zuckerberg – who is now worth more than $19 billion – started Facebook, have been dating for nine years. Zuckerberg, the subject of the movie The Social Network, had been in the news all week for the highly-anticipated stock offering of his company.

Former professional wrestler and adult film actress Chyna arrives at the 29th annual Adult Video News Awards Show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino January 21, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Ex-WWE star, Chyna, was hospitalized after passing out at a porn convention in Miami, Florida. The former body builder and professional wrestler-turned-pornographic actress, collapsed three times over three days. The entertainer, whose real name is Joan Marie Laurer, was attending the 2012 Exxxotica Expo in support of Vivid Entertainment's porn-style parody of box office smash, "Avengers." The "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" reality TV star played the role of She-Hulk during the convention. While her reps expressed concern over the fainting episodes, Chyna told doctors and her camp that she was feeling fine, that things were ok. Sources say when she arrived at the porn convention in Miami; she got as far as the lobby before passing out. Paramedics responded to the scene, and transported her to a nearby hospital in Miami Beach.

Missing Terminator Actor in Rehab
Missing "Terminator 3" actor Nick Stahl has told his wife he has checked in to rehab. The 32-year-old actor was reported missing earlier this week by his wife Rose -- but e-mailed friends yesterday to say he was okay and would be unreachable for the next 30 days so he could get help. Stahl's wife, Rose, spoke to the actor last night -- very briefly -- and he told her he checked into rehab. Rose says she double-checked with the rehab this morning to make sure he was still there -- and he was.

'The Avengers' crushes 'Battleship' and 'The Dictator' with $55.1 mil
Once again, it was all about The Avengers at the box office, as three new releases failed to even approach the Marvel superhero blockbuster’s third-weekend gross of $55.1 million. The Avengers‘ continued dominance meant fewer moviegoers for Battleship, which sunk on arrival with only $25.3 million. That’s the worst domestic opening ever for a movie with a reported budget of at least $200 million. In third place, The Dictator collected a decent $17.4 million for a five-day tally of $24.5 million. (The movie opened on Wednesday.) The weekend’s other new comedy, Lionsgate’s pregnancy-themed What to Expect When You’re Expecting, debuted to an underwhelming $10.5 million.
1. The Avengers — $55.1 mil
2. Battleship — $25.3 mil
3. The Dictator — $17.4 mil
4. Dark Shadows — $12.8 mil
5. What to Expect When You’re Expecting — $10.5 mil

Lil Wayne Investigated for Assault
Lil Wayne is under investigation for assault for a second time after a man alleged he was attacked when he attempted to take a picture of the rapper. The accuser, Alfredo Marino, claims he saw the musician and his pals skateboarding and approached him to ask for a photograph, but his request was denied. Marino returned to his car and apparently tried to take a picture of the rapper but Wayne spotted the camera, prompting him to shout, "Don't you know all it takes is a word and these motherf**kers are going to f**k you up?" It is alleged the star then struck Marino on the head with a skateboard, causing him to bleed and fall to the ground. Marino's lawyer, Craig Chisvin, says, "My client will enforce all of his rights under the law and all individuals responsible for this outrageous incident will be blamed for the damages that my client has suffered and continues to suffer." A police report was filed in April when a Miami photographer claimed he was attacked by Lil Wayne and his entourage.
