Josh Lucas Marries – and Is Expecting! Home life just got sweeter for Josh Lucas. The actor, 40, quietly got married last weekend, his rep confirmed. The bride was identified only as Jessica, with whom he attended the J. Edgar premiere in November. No other details were immediately available, but the rep also confirmed that the couple are expecting their first child together. Lucas, who was previously romantically linked with Rachel McAdams, revealed in January that he was engaged, saying on The Tonight Show he popped the question after he had a scary encounter with a mountain lion while filming a movie in Big Sur, Calif. Lucas told Jay Leno that after scaring the animal away by screaming, "I worked my way into the trailer and I got in and I decided at that moment that this woman was the woman for me." Lucas, who starred in Sweet Home Alabama, most recently appeared in TV's The Firm.

Oprah Winfrey's OWN fires one-fifth of its workforce

Oprah Winfrey's OWN cable channel has been struggling with ratings recently and has now been forced to fire 30 employees, one-fifth of its workforce. The station, which debuted Jan. 1, 2011, announced a restructuring of its network operations Monday (March 19), when Oprah said in a statement: "It is difficult to make tough business decisions that affect people's lives, but the economics of a start-up cable network just don't work with the cost structure that was in place. As CEO, I have a responsibility to chart the course for long-term success for the network. To wholly achieve that long-term success, this was a necessary next step." Erik Logan, President of OWN, adds, "We have been on the air for 15 months, and since September we have gained momentum in ratings and viewership. Restructuring our business will allow us to build a solid foundation for long-term growth." One of the features that does draw viewers is "Oprah's Next Chapter," wherein Oprah interviews various celebrities and public figures, such as Bobbi Kristina Brown on March 11. But the former talk-show host has said she does not want to go back to a full-time hosting job. In addition to the 30 employees fired, OWN has also canceled Rosie O'Donnell's talk show after just five months.

I feel immensely humbled and grateful that God works all things for the good of those who love Him." Lenz and Galeotti welcomed daughter Maria in February of 2011. TV NEWS
Lifetime is doing an adaptation with black actors of the 1989 film “Steel Magnolias.” The film begins production in Atlanta next month and will be directed by Atlanta playwright and producer Kenny Leon. Lifetime plans to air the film later this year. Queen Latifah will play M’Lynn, the role Sally Field played in the original film. The rest of the cast includes Golden Globe and Emmy winner Alfre Woodard as Ouiser (Shirley MacClaine’s role), Phylicia Rashad of “Cosby” fame as Clairee (Olympia Dukakis in the film), Grammy winner Jill Scott as Truvy (Dolly Parton in the film), Adepero Oduye as Annelle (Daryl Hannah in the film) and Condola Rashad as Shelby (Julia Roberts in the film).

Atlanta rap star and actor T.I. has joined the cast of “Boss” on pay cable network Starz starring Kelsey Grammer as the mayor of Chicago hiding the fact he has a degenerative neurological disease.  His part will be in a season-long arc as a former gangbanger with an eye on a political career.

AMC’s The Walking Dead finale set a ratings record for the network, clocking a truly impressive 9 million viewers. The second season closer was the show’s highest-rated episode ever (and AMC’s most-watched episode of regular series television ever). A full 6 million of those viewers were among adults 18-49, too, which is quite a trick to pull off.

Dancing With the Stars vet (and George Clooney’s main squeeze) Stacy Keibler is in talks to join Season 2 of The X Factor. Given her lack of music biz experience, she’s likely vying for a spot as host.

Matt Craven (Justified, NCIS) has landed a guest spot in the Season 1 finale of Alcatraz, playing the all-powerful “guy behind the door,” who was alluded to in an earlier episode.

A heartbreaker is headed back to New Girl for a season-ending arc. Mary Elizabeth Ellis (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will reprise her role as Nick’s manipulative ex-girlfriend Caroline for the final three episodes of the Fox comedy’s freshman run. Justin Long is also set to return as Jess’ ex, Paul, in the season’s penultimate installment.

MTV has renewed Jersey Shore for a sixth season, with production set to begin this summer in Seaside Heights.

Fox is the latest network to unveil its schedule of season finales, and among the dates is a shift in Glee‘s time slot and an April season-ender for one of its sitcoms. (End dates for Touch, I Hate My Teenage Daughter and Breaking In remain TBD.)
