Anthony Quinn's Son Dies

Francesco Quinn, a son of the late screen legend Anthony Quinn, died of an apparent heart attack near his Malibu home. Quinn, 48, was reportedly running in the street with his son Max when he collapsed. A neighbor who attempted to revive him said: "We were working feverishly at it. But at a certain point it turned, and there was no response." Paramedics were summoned, and Quinn was reportedly pronounced dead at the hospital. Born in Rome on March 22, 1963, to Anthony Quinn's second wife Iolanda, Francesco, who bore a strong resemblance to his father (who, in all had 13 children), landed a major screen role in 1986 as the drug dealer Rhah in Oliver Stone's Platoon. Francesco also appeared on such TV series as The Young and the Restless, NCIS, ER and 24. Besides his wife Valentina Castellani-Quinn, Quinn is survived by three children. "Francesco was my soulmate and the best father for Sofia, Michela and Max," Valentina told the Malibu Patch. "I will love him forever."

Lady Gaga accused of copying "Judas"

Lady Gaga was slapped with a lawsuit claiming her hit song "Judas" on the new album "Born This Way" was copied from a similar tune by a Chicago-based singer and songwriter. Rebecca Francescatti, who filed the suit in U.S. District Court in Illinois, alleges "Judas" infringes upon the copyright of her song "Juda," which she recorded in 1999. The Chicago musician claims that "substantial original portions" of "Judas" were lifted from the song that she re-recorded in 2005 for her album, "It's All About You." Francescatti's "Juda" was engineered by Brian Joseph Gaynor, a member of DJ White Shadow, which worked with Lady Gaga on her new album "Born This Way." DJ White Shadow claims to have written 17 of 20 songs on "Born This Way," the suit says. The suit seeks profits from the sale of the record or damages of an unspecified amount.

Singer Lauryn Hill Sued for Being a Nightmare to Her Band
Lauryn Hill would constantly verbally abuse members of her band behind the scenes of her European tour in 2007 ... so says an ex-band member who filed a new lawsuit against the former Fugees singer. Professional guitar player Jay Gore has filed new legal docs in his war with Hill -- in which he claims she stiffed him out of thousands of dollars after playing Hill's tour.  In the docs, Gore says Hill was a total monster backstage -- claiming she "exhibited the type of behavior for which she had gained public notoriety which contributed to a hostile work environment." Gore says, "After shows, Hill would demand that the musicians and road support personnel attend meetings where she would engage in a person-by-person critique and berating." He continues, "At one point, Hill made a statement in front of the tour personnel to the effect that 'I can't believe I am paying you fools, you should be paying me.'" Gore says he now wants more than $20k for his troubles. His lawyer, Nicholas Andrea, tells us, "We believe there are other musicians who have been mistreated by Ms. Hill in a similar manner who are reluctant to stand up for their rights and this lawsuit gives them a voice as well.”
