Hulk Hogan sues friend, gossip site over sex tape
Former pro wrestler Hulk Hogan sued a disc jockey, the DJ's ex-wife and a gossip website Monday after a sex tape involving Hogan and the woman was posted online. Hogan said in two lawsuits that he had consensual sex with his best friend's wife, Heather Clem, about six years ago in the Clems' home, but he did not know he was being secretly recorded. "Mr. Hogan had a reasonable expectation of his privacy, just as all Americans have a reasonable expectation of their privacy in their bedrooms," attorney Charles Harder said. The video was posted on the online gossip site Gawker. Hogan is seeking $100 million in damages from the New York-based media company, which declined comment. It's unclear who gave the video to Gawker. In the suit against the Clams, Hogan claimed the video caused "severe and irreparable injury which cannot be adequately compensated by monetary damages." Hogan is seeking the rights to the video in both lawsuits. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, wore a tight black T-shirt, black pants and dark sunglasses as he stood outside of the federal court in Tampa while his attorneys spoke to the media. He did not comment. It's not clear whether Hogan and Bubba the Love Sponge Clem are still friends. The Clems have since divorced. Hogan acknowledged on various TV talk shows recently that he had sex with Heather Clem while he was married to Linda Hogan. The Hogans have also divorced. Hogan, his ex-wife and the couple's son and daughter have appeared on the reality show "Hogan Knows Best." Stephen Diaco, a lawyer for Clem, said Hogan was the best man at the Clem wedding and he is also a godfather to Clem's child. "My hope is that these two can preserve their friendship," said Diaco. "I can't comment on the suit. This has caused harm to Bubba and he didn't release it, he didn't condone the release of it. He wants to find out who did that and he wants that person to be held accountable." It is illegal in Florida to record someone without their permission, but Hogan waited too long to file criminal charges.

Mitt Romney has apparently decided that the women of "The View" are too sharp-tongued for his taste. The Republican presidential candidate has canceled his appearance with his wife, Ann, on "The View," which was scheduled for Thursday, co-host Barbara Walters said on Monday's show. Walters did, however, say that Romney's wife would still appear on the show. "Over the weekend, his people said that he had scheduling problems and would not be coming on with us, nor did they think he would reschedule," Walters said. "We are sorry that we won't have Governor Romney. He can change his mind, and we hope he does. It would be our pleasure to have him on the program."

"South Park" masterminds Trey Parker and Matt Stone have found themselves in a legal entanglement -- and this one looks like it might really suck. Parker and Stone are being sued over their character King Lollipop, which appeared in three episodes in 2009, by a man who claims that they stole the character from his own show. Exavier Wardlaw claims that King Lollipop, which was included in the "Imaginationland"  trilogy, is based on the Big Bad Lollipop character from "The Lollipop Forest." (Yeah -- we've never heard of it either.) Wardlaw's complaint, filed in federal court in Philadelphia, claims financial infringement. Wardlaw is seeking that all alleged references to "The Lollipop Forest" and characters derived from it be removed from the opening titles of the shows featuring King Lollipop. "Imaginationland" took home an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program for One Hour or More.

ABC’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette may be guilty of many things… but discrimination isn’t one of them. A U.S. District Court in Tennessee Monday dismissed a suit that alleged that the reality dating shows were discriminating against people of color by casting only whites. Nathaniel Claybrooks and Christopher Johnson, both African-American men who claim they were quickly ushered out of a Bachelor casting call in Nashville, filed against ABC and Warner Horizon Television (which produces the shows) this summer. The men used their experience and the overall lack of color among Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants as evidence of a corporate policy against casting minorities. The court threw out the suit, agreeing with ABC/Warner Horizon that casting decisions are “part and parcel of the creative process behind a television program – including the shows at issue here,” and are therefore protected by the First Amendment.
