Bill Gates in Paul Allen's New Book
Who knew that Microsoft founders, Bill Gates and Paul Allen didn't really like each other any more.  While they were best of friends at one time, in Allen's new book, "Idea Man: A Memoir by the Co-founder of Microsoft,"  Allen says that Gates cheated him out of his fair share of Microsoft profits: He thought they would split their partnership down the middle, 50-50, but Gates -- argued that he'd spent more time working on it than Allen and got Allen to agree to a 64-36 split.  Allen claims that Gates "prowled" the Microsoft parking lot on weekends to see who'd made it in and was verbally abusive to employees. Allen claims he left Microsoft in 1983 because of the friction with Gates. Allen, who still owns his part of the company is now one of the world's richest men.

Billy Joel Not Writing
Three years after signing a $3 million deal with HarperCollins to release a memoir, The Book of Joel, this June, the Piano Man has called the whole thing off and plans to return the advance he already received for his efforts. "It took working on writing a book to make me realize that I'm not all that interested in talking about the past, and that the best expression of my life and its ups and downs has been and remains my music," Joel said in a statement Thursday. Mick Jagger also pulled out of a book deal in the 1980s and said last year after Richards' Life book came out that he found it "really quite tedious raking over the past".

The contract for actors on the series — which is set in 1963 at the Playboy Club in Chicago — includes a clause stipulating that “nudity as defined above and/or simulated sex acts” may be required. Charlie Sheen Live Show Gets Panned by Critics & Fans

After Charlie Sheen's one man show was met with boos during its first performance Saturday night, perhaps the actor is learning to embrace a valuable life lesson: You can't win them all. Or, in his case, you can't even win over most. Fans and media outlets – many of whom weren't among the 4,700 in attendance – took to the Web with an overwhelming disapproval of Sheen's gig, which made its first stop at Detroit's Fox Theatre. Audience members weren't asking Sheen questions, as the show's description encouraged – they were asking for refunds. "Sounds like Charlie Sheen was an epic fail tonight," one user Tweeted. "The gig's up. Time to stop giving him attention and get him some help." Meanwhile, Real Detroit Weekly, a local entertainment newspaper, called Sheen, 45, the "most hated man in Detroit."
