"I had always heard that when you have a baby it completes your life -- and it's true," Giuliana tells Life & Style. "I love my baby, and I love my new role." The ecstatic new parents posed with their son -- they call him Duke -- during the exclusive photo shoot at the Presidential Suite at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago on Sept. 9. "Every day he's changing -- it's just remarkable to see," Bill, 41, tells Life & Style. "[He's] got Giuliana's dimples!" Explaining how they came up with the name, Giuliana shares, "Edward is Bill's late dad's name and my dad's name. It was a way to honor them. And Duke means leader." The E! News host is a natural at motherhood. "It's amazing how maternal instincts have taken over, and Giuliana's just supermom," raves Bill. "It literally brought tears to my eyes the other day watching her with Duke." The arrival of their little bundle of joy was a long-awaited one. After years of struggles with infertility and IVF injections, Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer and in December 2011 underwent a double mastectomy. When she was told to delay trying to get pregnant again for at least five years, the couple found a surrogate and shortly after announced that they were expecting! Finally, 11 days before the Life & Style photo shoot, Duke made his triumphant debut via gestational carrier. "I couldn't believe that all those years of struggling and the tears actually paid off," Giuliana admits. "Every shot, every doctor's visit -- in the end, when you're holding your baby in your arms, you forget it all, and it's worth it."
Amanda Bynes was driving aimlessly for hours Tuesday ... while smoking out of what appears to be a marijuana pipe and tooling around L.A. on a suspended license. The photos -- obtained by TMZ -- show Bynes taking multiple hits out of a pipe that is designed to look like a cigarette lighter in your car. Amanda is driving illegally, because the DMV suspended her license on August 25. As for why her license was yanked, because she refused to take a sobriety test when she was busted for DUI in April. In California, such refusal results in automatic license suspension. Amanda has been charged with 2 hit-and-runs and various drivers have complained that she has either hit them as well or created peril.

Chad Johnson formally charged
Six-time Pro Bowl receiver Chad Johnson has been formally charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery. The Broward State Attorney's Office filed the charge Wednesday. Johnson faces up to a year in county jail. Johnson was arrested last month after his wife accused him of head-butting her during an argument in front of their home. He was later freed on $2,500 bond. The confrontation came barely a month after Johnson married Evelyn Lozada, who is on the reality TV show ''Basketball Wives.'' The 34-year-old Johnson had been battling for a spot on the Miami Dolphins after a disappointing season with the New England Patriots in 2011. The Dolphins released Johnson a day after his arrest. Johnson is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning and to file a written plea of not guilty. The True Blood twins have arrived. “We can confirm that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer recently welcomed their twins into the world,” reps for the actors say. “The babies were born a few weeks early, but are in good health and both Mom and Dad are overjoyed.” These are the first children together for Paquin, 30, and Moyer, 42, who were married in August 2010. Moyer has two children — daughter Lilac, 10, and son Billy, 12 — from previous relationships. The costars just wrapped their fifth season, with the finale of the hit HBO show airing Aug. 26.

Public service runs in both families. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appointed Kwan to serve on the Council to Empower Women and Girls Through Sports in June; she continues to work in the State Department as a U.S. public diplomacy envoy. Pell, a JAG and Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard, is the grandson of the late Rhode Island Sen. A&E has renewed The Glades for Season 4, the cabler announced on Wednesday. Production on the new run — of 13 episodes — will begin this fall, to premiere next year.
Sons of Anarchy returned to series highs on Tuesday night, as its Season 5 premiere drew 5.4 million total viewers, with 3.5 mil landing in the 18-49 sweet spot. Those numbers mark gains of 10 percent from the FX drama’s previous all-time best aka the Season 4 premiere (which drew 4.93 mil, 3.2 mil in 18-49).
His name is Jay Pharoah, and we bet he approves this message. In an interview with The New York Times, Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels said that Pharoah would play President Obama on the show, stepping in for Fred Armisen, who has impersonated the President since 2008. “Jay has been doing Obama in his act this summer, and Jay is coming into his own,” Michaels said. “I just thought it might be time to shake it up.” In presidential skits, Pharoah will surely face off against Jason Sudeikis — who returns to his Mitt Romney duties this season. Michaels added in the Times article that Armisen would still be a major player on the show, calling him “the backbone of the show now.”
Saturday Night Live can halt its search for new Mitt Romney and Joe Biden impersonators. After months of will-he or won’t-he speculation, Jason Sudeikis is officially on board for SNL‘s 38th season, which launches this weekend with host Seth MacFarlane.
Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am has been named mentor of Britney Spears’ X Factor team.
Common Lawmen Wes and Travis may have cracked their last case, Kate Reed may have negotiated her last peace and Dr. Dani may have shrunk her last superstar, as a total of four USA Network series lay in limbo, awaiting word on renewal or (gulp) the other thing. Common Law, which wrapped its freshman run a month ago, is unlikely to cop a Season 2 pick-up, seeing as USA has let its options on the actors’ contracts lapse. Plus, showrunner Craig Sweeny recently boarded CBS’ Elementary as an exec producer, though in theory he could return to Common Law if it’s renewed. Also on the bubble with a “50/50″ chance of renewal are Necessary Roughness, which recently aired mid-Season 2 finale, and Fairly Legal, which just barely earned the second season it wrapped in June.
Veteran actor Judd Hirsch is robing up for The Good Wife. The Taxi alum will drop by Season 4 of the CBS legal drama (bowing Sept. 30) later this fall as a judge. In addition, controversial comedian Bill Maher, host of HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher, will appear as himself on an episode this season.
Jason Lee has booked a Men at Work guest spot. He’ll appear in Season 2 of the TBS comedy (bowing in 2013) as the guys’ annoying co-worker.
Army Wives star Brian McNamara will guest star in an upcoming Season 8 episode of Bones. McNamara will play a Steve Irwin-type pet expo proprietor named Eric Neibling. When one of his day laborers is found murdered, Neibling’s secret side business — importing endangered species for sale — is exposed, making him a prime suspect. Bones returns to Fox on Monday, Sept. 17 at 8/7c.
Fallen Walking Dead alum Emma Bell is being resurrected on Dallas. Bell has nabbed one of two new series regular roles on Season 2 of the TNT drama. The actress will play Emma, a classic beauty who has enjoyed a privileged upbringing full of travel since she was a toddler. She was raised by her grandmother to be poised, graceful, and slightly aloof, while her father has ingrained in her a distrust of the larger world. If those clues ring any bells it might be because Emma is rumored to be the estranged daughter of Brenda Strong’s character, Ann Ewing. Bell — whose other credits include guest spots on CSI: Miami, Supernatural and Dollhouse — will first appear in the Season 2 premiere, slated to air in 2013.
