Hulk Hogan refiles lawsuit against Gawker over sex tape

Hulk Hogan has moved his lawsuit against Gawker for posting his sex tape online. The Hulkster first filed in federal court, but dismissed that suit without prejudice in December 2012. Now he has refiled the lawsuit in Florida state court. The reason for hte change is to consolidate his legal claims, which will mean less paperwork and attorney's fees, his lawyer tells TMZ. Hogan is also suing his sex tape partner Heather Clem (above, left) in Florida state court, claiming she played a role in leaking the sex tape to the media outlet. Hogan is pursuing $100 million in damages from Gawker for posting a 60-second clip of him having sex with Clem, which was recorded more than six years ago. Clem is the wife of Hogan's friend Bubba the Love Sponge (above, right), whom Hogan also sued, but who settled with the Hulkster outside of court.

Gerard Depardieu Granted Russian Citizenship As He Wages Fight Over France’s Super-Tax

Gerard Depardieu, the French actor who has waged a battle against a proposed super-tax on millionaires in his native country, has been granted Russian citizenship. A brief announcement on the Kremlin website on Thursday revealed that President Vladimir Putin signed the citizenship grant following an application from the actor. The former Oscar nominee and star of the movie “Green Card” has been vocal in his opposition to French President Francois Hollande’s plans to raise the tax on earned income above €1 million ($1.33 million) to 75 percent from the current high of 41 percent. Russia has a flat 13-percent tax rate. “I have never killed anyone, I don’t think I’ve been unworthy, I’ve paid 145 million in taxes over 45 years,” Depardieu wrote in an open letter in mid-December to Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, who had called the actor “pathetic.” “I will neither complain nor brag, but I refuse to be called ‘pathetic,’” the 64-year-old actor wrote in his response.
Depardieu has had increasingly high-profile ties with Russia. Last October he visited the capital of Chechnya, Grozny, to celebrate the birthday of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov. And in 2011, he was in Russia’s Arkhangelsk region to play the lead role in the film “Rasputin.” “You have to understand that Depardieu is a star in Russia,” Vladimir Fedorovski, a Russian writer living in France, told the network Europe 1 on Thursday. “There are crowds around Depardieu. He’s a symbol of France. He’s a huge ambassador of French culture.” Though France’s highest court struck down the two-year tax on Dec. 29, the government has promised to resubmit the law in a slightly different form soon. On Wednesday it estimated that the court decision to overturn the tax would cost it €210 million in 2013.
NeNe Leakes is hinting that she has some happy news to share. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Tweeted a photo of herself and her ex-husband, Gregg Leakes, celebrating New Year's Eve together. She followed up with a series of romantic photos – rose petals in the hallway, a heart constructed of Hersey's kisses on the bed – and finally wrote, "My answer was Yes." So is she engaged? A rep for the reality star and actress would not confirm any news.

Bethenny Frankel Still Living With Jason Hoppy After Separation

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy may be headed in separate directions, but for now, the separated spouses will continue to live under the same roof. "There are not plans yet for [Jason] to move out of their NYC loft," a source revealed.  In fact, Frankel's nationally syndicated, eponymous talk show will tape in the Big Apple this fall. "She fought to have it shoot in New York to make sharing custody easier," the source explains. (Frankel, 42, and Hoppy, 41, are parents to daughter Bryn, 2.)
KRYSTEN-RITTER Krysten Ritter is saucy, red-lipped and flaunts some take-no-prisoners sexuality on ABC’s Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, and she’s hinted interest in taking on an even kinkier role: the lead in Focus Features-Universal’s adaptation of E.L. James’ novel Fifty Shades of Grey. The 31-year-old actress, responding to a fan’s suggestion that she land the coveted part of Anastasia Steele, the lover of charming, S&M dabbler Christian Grey, tweeted on Wednesday, “Thanks! i would be down. ;) .” The rumor mill has been in full effect since it was announced that the movie, being written by screenwriter Kelly Marcel, and still sans a director, would be made. Author Bret Easton Ellis took to Twitter last August bemoaning not making the list of screenwriters being looked at to pen the script. Names such as Anne Hathaway and Ian Somerhalder have been flung around left and right as to who should embody amorous Anastasia and Christian.
