Halle Berry's Movie Was the Last Straw in Custody Battle
Halle Berry's latest movie was supposed to be the big-budget romantic comedy New Year's Eve – but for the actress and her ex, Gabriel Aubry, the feel-good film may have been the final straw in their already-strained custody arrangement over their 2 ½-year-old daughter Nahla. According to a source close to Berry, the actress's movie contract included compensation for Aubry to accompany her and Nahla to New York City for about two weeks of filming. But when Aubry decided not to go, says the source, Berry was forced to abruptly pull out of the film. She has since been replaced by Katherine Heigl. Berry, 44, who has a nanny, currently shares custody of Nahla with Aubry. She pulled out of the New Line production not because she wouldn't have childcare help but because she was concerned about leaving Nahla in L.A. while she filmed in N.Y.C. not taking sides, but Gabriel what else you got going on where u can't go to NY for free to look after your daughter while your baby mama works?

Freed Google executive helped spark Egypt revolt
The young Google Inc. executive detained by Egyptian authorities for 12 days said Monday he was behind the Facebook page that helped spark what he called "the revolution of the youth of the internet." A U.S.-based human rights group said nearly 300 people have died in two weeks of clashes. Wael Ghonim, a marketing manager for the Internet company, sobbed throughout an emotional television interview just hours after he was freed as he described how he spent 12 days in detention blindfolded while his worried parents didn't know where he was. He insisted he had not been tortured and said his interrogators treated him with respect. "This is the revolution of the youth of the Internet and now the revolution of all Egyptians," he said, adding that he was taken aback when the security force holding him branded him a traitor.Naomi Campbell bares all for the March 2011 cover of GQ magazine, UK edition. old girl trying to show she still has it, not feeling the wig though
Janet Jackson says brothers verbally abused her
Pop singer Janet Jackson says her big brother Michael Jackson used to tease her as a youngster about her bottom, while their other siblings called her a "horse," "pig" and "cow." In an interview with NBC correspondent Meredith Vieira, on the promotional trail for her memoir, Jackson said the verbal abuse made her insecure about her looks. "I would literally bang my head up against the wall because I didn't feel attractive," she said. "There was a lot of pain in my life. But I did. I felt very unattractive." She used to laugh at the barnyard taunts, and said Michael's comments about her bottom were probably affectionate. But rather than confront him about his hurtful words, she simply internalized the pain. Jackson, 44, relates her childhood trauma in her book "True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself," which will be published on February 15. Of her brother, whom she last saw about six weeks before he died in 2009, Jackson said she embarked on the grieving process long after everyone else in the family. "I don't know if it was trying to shield the pain, or just trying to hold it all together because I saw that everyone else around me was falling apart. And, never -- never taking that moment to really grieve. Really grieve, even at the service (In July 2009). Jackson's NBC interview will air on Friday and next Monday on "Today," and Sunday Feb 13 on Dateline.Facebook Stalker
Mark Zuckerberg has obtained a restraining order against a man who's been sending him creepy messages through Facebook and threatening his safety. 31-year-old Pradeep Manukonda has gone to several Facebook offices in Palo Alto, CA attempting to contact Mark to ask for money for his financially-strapped family. Even though Pradeep was verbally warned to stay away from the Facebook founder, he continued to try to contact him, even sending flowers to his home with a hand-written letter on January 28th. In one of his Facebook messages to Mark, Pradeep writes, "please help me, then I am ready to die for you." He continues, "Please understand my pain." The judge has ordered Pradeep to stay at least 300 yards away from Mark, his sister Randi and his girlfriend Priscilla Chan pending a hearing later this month.
Sex and the City Prequel
Despite the fact that Sex and the City 2 was a flop, movie exes are still determined to make money off the franchise. Enter Blake Lively! Blake is reportedly in talks with producer Michael Patrick King to play Carrie Bradshaw in the SATC prequel, cause well, SJP just can't pass as a 20 something year old anymore. The prequel, The Carrie Diaries, will chronicle "Carrie Bradshaw's trials and tribulations in high school," as well as her move to New York at 19. That's where Blake comes in. So will SJP and the other girls make a cameo? “There are no plans to bring SJP and the other girls back together in the old format,” a source tells Grazia. “The prequel is about breathing new life into the story and exploring Carrie’s first few months in NYC and the beginning of her relationship with an older man.”

TV star Keith Olbermann will join Current.tv, the online and cable TV news media company co-founded by Al Gore. Conservative critics are going to have a field day if the partnership is in fact a reality. The Times reports that Olbermann will take an equity stake in Current, likely the only way a man accustomed to contracts in the tens of millions of dollars range can be effectively compensated by a small, struggling media company. He would also not be able to start for some months; the deal he made with MSNBC upon his departure stipulated that he not appear on television for at least half a year.
Simon Cowell, FOX, Sony Music and FremantleMedia North America have released the details of the "The X Factor," the new singing competition series coming to the airwaves fall 2011. There are two big surprises for us: the size of the prize and the age limit. First off, the show's winner will get a record-breaking $5-million record deal, which is the largest guaranteed prize in TV history. Secondly, the age range is 12 years and up. "I like the idea that a 12-year-old on this show can compete with an older singer and a singing group," says Cowell. "I've never believed there should be a cut-off age for talent, and we are going to put our money where our mouths are with the $5-million recording contract. I'm doing this show in America because I genuinely believe we can find a superstar." Finally, the acts do not have to be solo artists. They can be vocal groups. Also, like the U.K. version, the first time a contestant sings for the judges, he/she/they will do so in front of an audience of thousands.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is unhappy about her recent mention on HBO's "Real Time With Bill Maher." Maher, referring to detained journalist Lara Logan, offered up Hasselbeck to Egyptian President Mubarak in exchange. Hasselbeck brought the segment up on the Feb. 7 episode of "The View," calling his remark sexist and then making a bit of an odd argument against free speech. When Barbara Walters mentioned that Bill Maher was entitled to use comedy as he wants to, Hasselbeck more or less nominated him for deportation. "Well, he's in the wrong country then," she says, "because we should be able to think differently and appreciate across the board that we are in a country where we can express our beliefs." Apparently the one thing the two can agree on is that they don't want to be in the same country. Hasselbeck dismissed her co-hosts questions about whether she was upset by the comments. "He doesn't have the ability to hurt my feelings," she said, "because he's not a real man." This one isn't over...
Michael Moore suing Weinsteins for $2.7M
Harvey and Bob Weinstein have raised Michael Moore's temperature, and the iconoclastic filmmaker is suing his "Fahrenheit 9/11" partners for $2.7 million among allegations of "bogus accounting methods." In a 17-page lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the filmmaker claims that Bob and Harvey Weinstein used such methods to cheat him out of millions of dollars. The Weinsteins' lawyer called the case "demonstrable and absolute baloney." "This case is about classic Hollywood accounting tricks and financial deception perpetrated by The Fellowship Adventure Group (TFAG) and its owners, Harvey and Bob Weinstein," according to the lawsuit. The lawsuit claims that the TFAG and the Weinsteins hid the amounts they owed Moore. In the lawsuit, Moore asks to be reimbursed what he says he is owed and for "punitive damages," or an additional sum to punish the Weinsteins for the alleged wrongdoing. Among his allegations, Moore accuses Bob Weinstein of using some of the movie's profits to fly to Europe on a private jet.
