Jonathan Winters Dies at 87

Jonathan Winters – an improvisational genius and the comedic spiritual godfather to a generation of younger comics, including Robin Williams, Jim Carrey and the late Andy Kaufman – died of natural causes Thursday night. He was surrounded by family and friends at his home in Montecito, Calif., the Associated Press reports. He was 87. Known for the wild array of characters he could create in a flash – his naughty old lady Maude Frickert was a Tonight Showheadliner who routinely broke up hosts Jack Paar and then Johnny Carson – Winters, playing doltish truck driver Lennie Pike, stole the all-star 1963 movie It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World out from every name comedian who was breathing at the time. His true launching pad, in 1956, was the weekly TV variety The Jonathan Winters Show. And though it was hard to contain him on the small screen – records and clubs were his forte – Winters returned the medium back in 1981, to play Robin William's son on the last season of ABC's Mork and Mindy.  On a personal level, his wife of 60 years, Eileen, died, age 84, in early 2009, according to a friend's published remembrance. He is survived by two children, Lucinda Winters and Jay Winters. 

Deftones bassist Chi Cheng dead at 42

Chi Cheng, the founding bassist of the Deftones, passed away this weekend at the age of 42. Cheng had shown improvement in recent years, including a limited ability to move his legs on command. He ultimately succumbed to his injuries at 3 a.m. Saturday morning. Cheng co-founded the Deftones in Sacramento in 1988 alongside Moreno, guitarist Stephen Carpenter, keyboardist Frank Delgado, and drummer Abe Cunningham. (Former Quicksand bassist Sergio Vega replaced Cheng after the 2008 car accident.) The band received a Best Metal Performance Grammy in 2001 for the song “Elite” from their platinum-certified 2000 album White Pony.

Jane Seymour and James Keach Split It's over between Jane Seymour and James Keach. "[The couple] confirm that they are separated and have been for several months," the actress and Dancing with the Stars alum's rep tells PEOPLE. "At this time they are negotiating the terms of their divorce." Seymour, 62, and Keach, 65, were married in 1993 and have twin sons, 17-year-old Johnny and Kristopher, together. "They will continue their relationship as devoted parents to their children, as business associates and partners, and in their joint dedication to preserving and furthering the charitable endeavors that they've worked on throughout their marriage," the statement continues. 


Kevin Hart Arrested for DUI 
Kevin Hart was arrested early this morning on suspicion of DUI after he nearly slammed into a gas tanker while speeding on a freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, officers spotted the comedian driving in a black Mercedes on the 101 Freeway at around 4:30 AM PT. The CHP says he was "driving erratic," "going 90 MPH" and "almost collided with a gas tanker truck." The CHP says when they pulled Hart over, he showed "objective signs of intoxication" and was "unable to perform field sobriety tests." He was booked into a local jail for misdemeanor DUI just before 6:00 AM PT and posted a $50,000 bond. 

 '42' knocks it out of the park with $27.3 Million

Tomorrow, Major League Baseball will celebrate its annual Jackie Robinson Day, and all players and umpires will wear jerseys with the number 42, which Robinson, the first African-American player in the MLB, made famous. Don’t be surprised if the execs at Warner Bros. join in on the fun. The studio did have a grand slam weekend, after all. Warner Bros.’ new baseball drama 42 topped the box office with $27.3 million.  In second place, Scary Movie 5 hit more of a bunt than a home run during its opening frame. The spoof sequel nabbed an unremarkable $15.2 million over the Friday-to-Sunday period.

Woman charged with stalking Hugh Jackman

It was a hair-raising experience for actor Hugh Jackman at a New York City gym. Jackman was working out in a gym Saturday morning in Manhattan’s West Village neighborhood when a woman rushed in, crying and shouting that she loved him. The X-Men star told the radio station on Sunday that the run-in was frightening. Police say 47-year-old Kathleen Thurston pulled out a razor filled with hair and threw it at him, then fled and was arrested several blocks from the gym. Jackman wasn’t hurt. Thurston is charged with stalking and awaits arraignment. Its unclear whether she has a lawyer. Police say she has gone near the victim and his family before.

Gucci Mane Arrested... Again

Embattled rapper Gucci Mane was arrested on Saturday, a day after he was released from jail. The hip-hop star, real name Radric Davis, turned himself in to authorities late last month after a warrant was issued for his arrest following allegations he hit a soldier over the head with a bottle at a nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia. He was indicted on charges of aggravated assault earlier this week, and was released from Fulton County Jail on Friday after he was offered bail at $75,000. This arrest was for probation violation, unrelated to the assault charge. 

Jenna Jameson Loses Custody of Twins
Jenna Jameson  is a mess ... so much so her kids are now under the sole care of their dad Tito Ortiz had major concerns about Jenna's ability to care for their 4-year-old twin boys. They had a confrontation over custody recently and now we're told Tito is the primary caretaker. In fact ... Jenna has moved out of the couple's Huntington Beach home.  Jenna was arrested after her assistant claimed the former porn star beat her with a brass knuckle iPhone accessory. Jenna skated on the charge but the assistant filed a restraining order painting Jenna as an out of control.
