'Buckwild' star died of carbon monoxide poisoning

Carbon monoxide poisoning is to blame for the death of Buckwild’s Shain Gandee and two others early Monday in West Virginia. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday said cause of death was accidental for Gandee, 21, David Dwight Gandee, 48, and Donald Robert Myers, 27.  The men were found inside Shain Gandee’s Ford Bronco that was partially submerged in mud. It was a concerned friend who eventually located the three men, all of whom are from Sissonville. Mud covered the lower part of the passenger side door, while the muffler was completely submerged, sheriffs said. The men were last seen at a Sissonville bar early Sunday, where they talked about going four-wheeling. Family and friends searched for the men Sunday before calling 911. Meanwhile, production has been suspended on the second season of Buckwild, which was recently renewed by MTV.
Earvin "EJ" Johnson III, the 20-year-old son of Magic Johnson, recently was filmed walking down Hollywood's Sunset Strip holding the hand of a man whom reports say is his boyfriend.  EJ — wearing a fur coat and carrying a handbag — answers questions about the Dodgers, the renovation of Dodger Stadium and the Lakers. Magic said his son has the family's full backing. "Cookie and I love EJ and support him in every way," the Lakers legend and current Dodgers owner said. "We're very proud of him." During the interview, EJ said he was going to "hope and pray" that the Dodgers were going to be a success this year.

Cano drops Boras, opts for CAA, Jay-Z

Robinson Cano, meet Jay-Z. Cano, the New York Yankees second baseman who can become a free agent at the end of the season, is changing his representation as he nears the biggest decision of his career. He will be co-represented by CAA, a leading sports and entertainment agency, and Roc Nation Sports, a branch of a company founded by Jay-Z. Jay-Z announced the launch of Roc Nation Sports as a full-service sports management company on Tuesday. Cano, 30, previously was represented by Scott Boras, one of baseball’s most powerful agents. “At this point in my career, I am ready to take a more active role in my endeavors both on and off the field,” Cano said in a statement. “I am confident that the pairing of Roc Nation Sports and CAA Sports will be essential in helping me accomplish my short- and long-term goals. I am making this important decision now so I can keep my focus on helping the Yankees succeed in 2013, while minimizing any distractions for me and my teammates.” It remains to be seen whether Cano’s decision will benefit the Yankees in their quest to re-sign him. Boras generally advises his clients against signing extensions before they reach free agency, preferring that they establish their values on the open market. By affiliating with Jay-Z’s new company, Cano apparently wants to market himself outside of baseball, something that would best be accomplished in New York or Los Angeles, the nation’s two entertainment capitals. The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to pursue him if he becomes a free agent.

Former voice of TV's Elmo sued in NY for 5th time

A puppeteer who was the voice of Elmo on "Sesame Street" is being sued for the fifth time, accused of sexually abusing a teenage boy. In a federal lawsuit filed in New York on Tuesday, 25-year-old Kevin Kiadii says he was 16 when he met Kevin Clash during an online chat. Kiadii attorney Jeff Herman says Clash sent a limousine to pick up the teen in Brooklyn and take him to his Manhattan apartment for sex. Herman represents four other people who filed similar lawsuits. He acknowledges his clients were compliant but says the 52-year-old puppeteer took advantage of them by playing father to them. Clash resigned from "Sesame Street" in November. He has denied any wrongdoing.
