Drew Barrymore Weds Will Kopelman
A beaming Drew Barrymore, 37, tied the knot Saturday with her fiancé of five months, art dealer Will Kopelman, at her Montecito, Calif., home. Designed by celebrity wedding planners Yifat Oren and and Stefanie Cove – who handled Reese Witherspoon's country chic nuptials last March – the intimate ceremony was "a classic, simple, very pretty, garden-inspired wedding," a source said. They were wed under a chuppah, and a rabbi officiated. Guests included Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth, Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen, Busy Philipps and her husband, and Cameron Diaz. The actress, who is pregnant with her first child, was spotted trying on wedding veils at a New York City bridal shop in May, donned a Chanel gown for her big day – not surprisingly, as her new husband's father, Arie Kopelman, is a former Chanel CEO.Shawn Johnson Retires from Gymnastics
Shawn Johnson, one of the most popular gymnasts in recent memory, has announced her retirement from the sport. She was hoping to make the 2012 Olympic team. "I still have the heart, drive, and desire to compete and help the USA at the London Olympics," Johnson – who had been making a comeback from recurring knee problems – announced in a statement Sunday. "Unfortunately, it has become obvious that my left knee is not able to sustain the demands of gymnastics any longer," said the gymnast, 20, who won four Olympic and three World career medals. "All I can do now is gracefully retire and thank everyone who has believed in me and my journey." In addition to her gymnastics accolades, she also won her season of Dancing with the Stars in 2009. Johnson added that she made the announcement now "so the focus for the next three weeks will be on the incredibly talented gymnasts who are trying to make our 2012 Olympic Team." She will still attend the Games to cheer on her former teammates.'Snow White and the Huntsman' is victorious with $56.3 mil

Over the weekend, The Avengers passed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 to become the third biggest movie ever globally. The movie has so far smashed $1.36 billion worldwide. Though again, third place is likely where it’ll stay, as Avatar and Titanic are way out in front with $2.78 billion and $2.19 billion.

Bill Maher buys minority share of Mets
No joke: Bill Maher owns a stake in the New York Mets. The stand-up comic and political satirist was at Citi Field on Sunday and revealed that he bought a minority share of the team months ago. Mets senior vice president of marketing and communications David Newman confirmed the deal is done and that Maher is a new limited partner. ''That's what's great about baseball,'' Maher said. ''I finally found something I can be a-political about.'' Maher, who grew up nearby in New Jersey and said he has been a Mets fan his whole life, would not disclose how much he spent or how large a stake he owns. Hedge fund manager David Einhorn agreed in May 2011 to purchase a minority stake in the team for $200 million, but the Mets said Sept. 1 they were calling off that deal and instead wanted to sell limited partner shares for $20 million each. Maher said he read about the opportunity in the newspaper in December and thought it would be a great investment. ''Especially after I've seen some of the ways money can disappear in recent years. I had my money in Lehman Brothers in 2008, so this looked pretty good,'' Maher said, drawing laughs. ''I'm really happy that it's turned out that this team is good this year, because nobody picked them to be good.'' Maher said he has early memories of New York being granted a National League expansion franchise, and the team's first season in 1962. He said he vividly remembers the Miracle Mets championship of 1969, and watching Game 6 of the 1986 World Series at The Improv in Los Angeles with fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld and others. Asked if he will try to persuade Seinfeld, a longtime Mets fan, to buy a share as well, Maher said: ''Why he didn't, I have no idea. He's sure got more money than I do.'' Maher hosts an HBO talk show called ''Real Time With Bill Maher.''MTV Movie Award Winners:
