Halle Berry Baby Daddy Being Investigated for Child Endangerment
Halle Berry is going to court this AM, and she'll ask a judge for an order prohibiting her baby daddy, Gabriel Aubry, from having ANY contact with 3-year-old Nahla until the child endangerment investigation against him is resolved. The LAPD is conducting a criminal battery and child endangerment investigation after Gabriel allegedly pushed the nanny with Nahla in her arms. And before the alleged pushing, the nanny Alliance Kamdem says Gabriel screamed at her and hurled a racial epithet. In addition, we've learned the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services is also conducting a child endangerment investigation. Kamdem claims Gabriel repeatedly yelled and cursed at her, often while Nahla was present. Kamdem also says it got so bad ... Gabriel would make her sit in a corner in his condo until he called for her. Kamdem also claims Gabriel often yelled at Nahla, causing the child to cower and cry. And she told police... when Nahla had a rash he refused to treat it. Kamdem quit last week after Gabriel allegedly shoved her. Gabriel's rep says, "Anyone can file a police report at any time, regardless of it being accurate." As for Halle's court appearance later this AM ... we'll be there.
Kevin Federline Hospitalized After Suspected 'Minor Heart Attack'
While filming a weight loss show in Australia, Kevin Federline was rushed to the hospital. Federline has been filming the show Excess Baggage when he began having chest pains. Spokesperson for the Australian channel that broadcasts the show explained: “Kevin was at Doonside with the [Giants], completing an AFL-related challenge. He did his challenge, which was running and catching the ball, then while his [in-series weight-loss partner] was taking the same challenge, he reported chest pains and a racing heart. Turns out it wasn’t a heart attack--K. Fed just got tired. Doctors made him take an ECG test, and they discovered it wasn't cardiac arrest, a heart attack or anything along those lines. “They want to do blood tests and he is likely to be there until at least late Monday.”
Aretha Franklin Calls Off Her Wedding
The Queen of Soul will retain her solo throne for now. Aretha Franklin – who announced Jan. 3 that she and her "forever friend" William 'Willie' Wilkerson would wed this summer – released a statement Monday with a change of plans. "Regretfully, To Our Friends and Supporters: Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly," said Franklin, 69. "There will be no wedding at this time." "We will not comment on it any further because of the very personal and sensitive nature of it. We appreciate all of the many well wishes from friends." The statement was signed "Aretha and Will."Simon Cowell and Fiance on a Break
This should be surprising to no one. Simon Cowell admits that he and his much younger, more attractive fiancé, Mezhgan Hussainy are “on a break” and that they will probably never get married. Simon Cowell and his make-up artist girlfriend have been engaged for nearly two years, and the longer the clock ticked away the more we realized a wedding probably isn’t in their future. Now, Cowell is saying that they are “taking a break.” Simon said, “It’s quite a complicated relationship. We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close, I’m vulnerable. It’s not on, it’s not off, it’s somewhere in the middle. I don’t know if I will ever get married, but I am happy.” “I talk to Mezhgan all the time,” he said, “Everything is fine. But I didn’t say there would be wedding bells soon.”
Obama welcomes Bruins; Thomas absent
President Barack Obama saluted the NHL's Boston Bruins for their 2011 Stanley Cup championship on Monday, citing the city's run of professional team championships in recent years. The Bruins won their first Stanley Cup title in 39 years last June after a bruising seven-game final series against the Vancouver Canucks. There was a notable no-show. Goalie Tim Thomas, who was the playoff MVP last year, chose not to attend the event due to political differences with Obama. Thomas, a Flint, Mich., native and one of only two American players on the Bruins' Stanley Cup roster last season, was the only Boston player to decline the invitation. "I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People," Thomas said in a statement. "This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government," he wrote. "Because I believe this, today (Monday) I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL."Baby No. 3 On the Way for Drew Brees
He may not be headed to the Super Bowl, but Drew Brees has even bigger plans: another baby! The New Orleans Saints quarterback, 33, and his wife Brittany are expecting their third child, Brees announced via Twitter. “Thanks for the well wishes for Brittany and Baby #3,” he writes. “She is 2½ months. Training camp baby.” As for big brothers Baylen Robert, 3, and Bowen Christopher, 15 months, they already have their hopes set on whether the newest addition will be a boy or girl. “Bowen wants a lil bro, Baylen a lil sis,” Brees shares.Oscars 2012: And the nominees are...
