Lil Wayne Hospitalized After Suffering Seizure in Los Angeles
Rapper and entertainer Lil Wayne was rushed to the hospital after reportedly suffering seizures in Los Angeles Tuesday. The rapper, whose real name is Dewayne Carter, was shooting a music video with Nicki Minaj in the southern California city for her "Re-Up" single "High School," when the seizures began and was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital. A representative for the 30-year-old rapper revealed that he is recovering well. This is not the first time the rapper has been treated for seizures. Last October, the private plane he was traveling in had to make an emergency landing after he started experiencing a seizure-like attack while in flight. It was later claimed that Wayne had suffered a severe migraine and was also dehydrated. He then suffered another seizure-like attack again in October and was hospitalized once more and ordered by doctors to rest. Initially, it was reported that Wayne was in critical condition after suffering seizures and had to have his stomach pumped when doctors found high amounts of codeine in his system. Wayne has also spoken in the past about his well-documented addiction to syrup, the name for a concoction of prescription-strength codeine cough medicine and a soft drink. Syrup has a long history in the Southern hip-hop community and is blamed in the deaths of both DJ Screw and late UGK member Pimp C.
Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock joke about going on tour - but could it happen?
Dave Chappelle has become elusive in the eight years since he left his hit show on Comedy Central. But he resurfaced this week at New York City's The Cellar comedy club, joined on stage by friends and fellow comedians Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, Marlon Wayans and Paul Mooney. Rock and Chappelle have made headlines after the appearances for joking about the two of them doing a tour together. Chappelle cracks, "After next Tuesday, I'm free for like 11 years." But Rock took the discussion seriously, discussing his tour availability onstage -- "By Halloween, I could do dates." Then later, the two of them sent texts to Jay-Z and Arsenio Hall, with Chappelle saying, "This could be the show. Fireside chats with Chris Rock," to which Rock replied, "I'm in."Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman Are Back Together

'Real Housewives' lawsuit: Kandi Burruss takes Kim Zolciak to court over 'Tardy for the Party' song
"Real Housewives of Atlanta" fans knew this moment had to come some day: Kandi Burruss is suing ex-cast member Kim Zolciak for royalties Burruss claims she's owed from the 2009 single "Tardy for the Party." And as if that's not enough drama there's a third "Real Housewives" star involved in the legal skirmish: Burruss has hired Phaedra Parks as her attorney. The saga of "Tardy for the Party" has been chronicled in full on the Bravo reality soap. Original cast member Zolciak always wanted to be a singer and when Burruss (a member of the R&B group Xscape and songwriter of hits including TLC's "No Scrubs" and Destiny's Child's "Bills, Bills, Bills") joined the show in Season 2, they formed a friendship that eventually led to a professional collaboration. But Burruss has long maintained that Zolciak failed to properly compensate her for writing "Tardy for the Party." Their relationship soured to the point that Burruss prevented Zolciak from ever releasing the follow-up collaboration "Ring Didn't Mean a Thing." Burruss and Zolciak will soon be schedule-mates on Bravo. Zolciak's "Housewives" spinoff series "Don't Be Tardy" returns for Season 2 beginning April 16 at 9 p.m., while Burruss' competition series "The Kandi Factory" premieres April 9 at 10 p.m.TV NEWS
Is Matt Lauer angling to be the next Alex Trebek? The Today staple is said to be at the top of the list of replacements for the Jeopardy host, who is reportedly looking to step down in 2016. Rumors have been circulating that Lauer will not re-up with Today when his contract expires (likely in 2014 or 2015) — though on Thursday an exec at the network told the New York Times that they’d like the series’ longtime anchor “to be in the chair as long as he would like to be.”
High School Musical star Corbin Bleu has joined the cast of Prospect Park’s iTunes/Hulu revival of One Life to Live, which bows April 29. Bleu will play Jeffrey King, a reporter who moves to Llanview to work at The Banner.
Rainn Wilson has landed the title role in Backstrom, CBS’ drama pilot about “an overweight, offensive and irascible” police detective who tries, and fails, to change his self-destructive behavior.
The great Glee onscreen diva-off will commence once again later this season. Idina Menzel will reprise her role as Rachel’s mom, Shelby, on the Fox dramedy. Lea Michele tweeted Tuesday night that Menzel was on set. “I spy @idinamenzel at #Glee today! So excited to have my mama back!” Shelby has created drama for lots of different characters during her previous appearances. In addition to being Rachel’s mom, she also adopted Quinn and Puck’s baby — which didn’t stop her from also hooking up with Puck last season. No word on what she’s up to this time or how long she’ll be around.
