Charlize Theron Adopts a Baby Boy
Charlize Theron has joined the Hollywood mom's club! The actress, 36, "has adopted a child," her rep says in a statement. "She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson." Jackson is the first child for the South African-born Theron, who recently starred in Young Adult. She won an Oscar for her role as a serial killer in 2003's Monster.

There's a report that "Dancing With the Stars" professional dancer Karina Smirnoff has been stepping out with movie star Owen Wilson. "They've been out a few times," a source tells the magazine. A second source says, "They're totally into each other." Smirnoff famously ended her engagement to MLB pitcher Brad Penny back in December 2011, after dating him for roughly three years. And Owen Wilson split from partner Jade Duell in June 2011, just several months after she gave birth to their son, Ford.

Kiefer Sutherland Furious as Fox Pulls Plug on '24' Movie
Kiefer Sutherland is furious at 20th Century Fox, which has called a halt to the movie version of his hit television show, “24,” over budget and star salary issues. The movie based on the conspiracy-terrorism-action show was in pre-production and set to start shooting next month, but has now ground to a halt because Fox will greenlight a budget no higher than $30 million, while Sutherland and producer Brian Grazer feel the budget needs to be in the low $40s at its tightest. A Fox spokesman confirmed that the movie was on hold, and said it was related to timing. "We're still working on a script, and hope to make [it] when Kiefer next has time," said the spokesman. "But this all came down to timing, and seven weeks is not enough time to prep a movie like this."

Jeremy Sisto Welcomes a Son

The Suburgatory star and wife Addie Lane welcomed a son on Friday, March 9. “Unnamed boy is healthy as is Mom. Thanks for your wishes,” Sisto Tweeted, jokingly adding, “Don’t tell my wife I had two glasses of wine while she had an epidural.” Sisto, 37, announced in December that Lane was expecting their second child, who joins big sister Charlie-Ballerina, 2½.

Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli Deny 'Hurtful' Cheating Rumors

The public announcement of their split was painful enough, but Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth were blindsided – and deeply hurt – by the almost immediate flurry of Internet reports speculating infidelity had triggered the demise of their 11-year marriage. So to set the record straight, the actors said: "There are rumors out there which are completely untrue and hurtful to our family. We just want to make it very clear – there are no third parties involved." The statement, made jointly by Facinelli, 38, and Garth, 39, comes a day after they jointly announced their plans to divorce.

Rush Limbaugh Loses More Advertisers, But Protests: ‘The Left Made Me Do It’

Rush Limbaugh apologized on Monday as he lost two more advertisers and Peter Gabriel’s music for his conservative radio talk show in the fallout from having called a female law student a “slut.” That made a total of nine sponsors who have distanced themselves from the talk show host, who is not known for restrained language on the most uneventful of days. Meanwhile, rock star Peter Gabriel also demanded that his song, “Sledgehammer,” be pulled from the show. On his Facebook page, Gabriel said he was "appalled" to learn that his song had been associated with the attack oin Fluke: "Peter was appalled to learn that his music was linked to Rush Limbaugh's extraordinary attack on Sandra Fluke," the singer wrote on his page. "It is obvious from anyone that knows Peter's work that he would never approve such a use. He has asked his representatives to make sure his music is withdrawn and especially from these unfair aggressive and ignorant comments." He addressed the issue again on his show on Monday, even as advertisers continued to tumble, blaming the left for pushing him to extreme tactics: "I don't expect, and I know you don't either, morality or intellectual honesty from the left," he said. "...This is the mistake I made: in fighting them on this issue last week, I became like them.Against my own instincts, against my own knowledge, against everything I know to be right and wrong, I descended to their level. I feel very badly about that."

Jon Hamm assures Kim Kardashian 'idiot' statement was 'not personal'

Not a “Mad Man,” so much as a “Mildly Miffed Man” (doesn’t have quite the same ring, does it?). Jon Hamm has responded to the reaction from Kim Kardashian regarding a statement he made to the U.K. edition of Elle. “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated,” Hamm told the magazine. “Being a f—ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly…. It’s celebrated. It doesn’t make sense to me.” (We have no idea what he could possibly be referencing.) Kardashian took offense to the statement and spoke her mind on Twitter, telling followers, “I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless.” (As of press time, there’s still no reaction from “Paris Hilton…or whoever.”) So how did Hamm address Kim’s umbrage? Find out below. At Tuesday’s Mad Men panel at Paley Fest reporters decided to ask Hamm not about what we can expect from Don Draper (is he still engaged to Megan, for cryin’ out loud?!) or that excruciating hiatus, but about the possibility that Kim Kardashian’s feelings may have been hurt. “It’s surprising to me that it has become remotely a story,” he said. “I don’t know Ms. Kardashian, I know her public persona. What I said was meant to be more on pervasiveness of something in our culture, not personal, but she took offense to it and that is her right.”

CBS renews 18 shows including 'Good Wife,' 'Person of Interest'

Big time renewal news! CBS just gave the bulk of its primetime slate an early pickup to return next season, including critically acclaimed drama The Good Wife and first-year comedy 2 Broke Girls. The renewals include four comedies, nine dramas, three reality series and two newsmagazines, some of which have been previously announced. On the drama side, the network is bringing back NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, CSI, The Mentalist, Person of Interest, Blue Bloods and Hawaii Five-0 in addition to The Good Wife. On the comedy side, CBS renewed 2 Broke Girls and Mike & Molly. Previously, the network announced multi-year pickups for HIMYM and Big Bang Theory. The future of Monday night tent-pole comedy Two and a Half Men is under “preliminary discussions” with studio Warner Bros., CBS says. Reality shows Amazing Race and Undercover Boss are also getting picked up, with Survivor having already been announced. The network is also bringing back 60 Minutes and 48 Hours Mystery. Just because a show isn’t on the list doesn’t yet mean it’s cancelled. The fates of titles like CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, Unforgettable and A Gifted Man are still unknown.

TV NEWS
The upcoming Dexter season 7 and the highly-anticipated second season of Homeland finally have dates for fans to mark on their calendars. Both shows will return September 30th.

HBO has elected to cancel production on Luck following the death of a third horse on the racetrack drama series. The network released this statement: “It is with heartbreak that executive producers David Milch and Michael Mann together with HBO have decided to cease all future production on the series Luck. Safety is always of paramount concern. We maintained the highest safety standards throughout production, higher in fact than any protocols existing in horseracing anywhere with many fewer incidents than occur in racing or than befall horses normally in barns at night or pastures. While we maintained the highest safety standards possible, accidents unfortunately happen and it is impossible to guarantee they won’t in the future. Accordingly, we have reached this difficult decision. We are immensely proud of this series, the writing, the acting, the filmmaking, the celebration of the culture of horses, and everyone involved in its creation.” The first-year drama had already earned a second-season pickup, so production was underway on the second of 10 new episodes.

Nickelodeon has given a 26-episode order to the comedy Marvin, starring Fred web star Lucas Cruikshank as an alien teen living with a human family.

The 85th Academy Awards will air on Sunday, Feb. 24th, per an announcement from the Academy on Wednesday. Nominations will go out on Jan. 14, and the show will once again reside at Hollywood and Highland -- though Kodak's name is now off the theater. There have long been rumors the Academy would move up the show's date, but 2013's telecast will take place on the last Sunday in February, just like this year.

Sharon Lawrence (NYPD Blue, Drop Dead Diva, One Tree Hill) is adding another TV mom to her resume. The actress will play the biological mother of Sasha Alexander’s character on Rizzoli & Isles in two episodes of the upcoming third season.

History Channel has ordered its first scripted series, Vikings, from executive producer Michael Hirst (The Tudors, Camelot). The period piece — slated to premiere in 2013 — will follow the adventures of Norse hero Ragnar Lothbrock as he rises to head of the Viking tribes.
