Spike Lee apologizes to Florida couple, agrees to pay for retweeting their address
Film director Spike Lee has apologized to a Florida couple and agreed to pay their expenses for fleeing their home after they were harassed when he retweeted an address that was described as the home of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who shot Trayvon Martin. "Spike Lee did the right thing," the couple’s lawyer, Matt Morgan, tweeted. "The McClain’s claim is fully resolved. Thank you Spike!!!" David and Elaine McClain, a couple in their 70s whose home is about four miles from where Martin was killed, told CNN that besides apologizing as they requested, Lee agreed to pay the cost of them having to leave their home temporarily. No dollar amount was revealed. Elaine McClain described the apology as sincere. The mistake by Lee, who has 250,000 Twitter followers, forced the McClains to flee to a hotel when reporters and hate mail began showing up at their home. Elaine McClain has a son named William George Zimmerman who previously lived at the address. Some Twitter members have been sending Lee angry and often racist tweets in response to his sharing of the address, many of which he has retweeted.

Jaleel White Speaks Out About Ex-Girlfriend's Abuse Allegations
Responding to allegations by his ex-girlfriend of physical and verbal abuse, Jaleel White says the years-old claims are the fallout from a child-custody dispute that he thought had been resolved. "When you’re doing well in life, it’s par for the course certain individuals will try and knock you down," the Dancing with the Stars competitor says in a statement. "When the individual is also the mother of your only child it is particularly hurtful." Bridget Hardy says in an interview with Star magazine that White verbally and physically abused her in 2010. She alleges "he hit me across the chest area" and "pushed me into toilet," causing it to break. White, 35, who played Steve Urkel on the sitcom Family Matters, says the allegations originally were made in a "malicious police report" filed in connection with a dispute over custody of their then-11-month-old daughter. White was never questioned by police and no charges were filed. "As much as I would love to go detail for detail refuting Ms. Hardy's claims about the specifics of what was our relationship, the family court judge made it very clear to me any public discussion of our case and ordeal would be held against me in a court of law," he says. But White says he felt the matter had been concluded and that "up until now we have had a workable joint custody arrangement." He adds that he has been paying child support. "I guess my most recent successes have been too much for her to stomach," he continues. "I'm assuming I have not received her votes these past Monday nights. " White says his primary concern is their daughter. "My only hope is that when my daughter Googles her parents one day in her future, she sees that her father acted with class and dignity when pressed to the fire," he concludes. "Bridget Hardy is the mother of my only daughter in this world and without Ms. Hardy I would not have the treasure that is my daughter. God knows the truth. ... I ask for your sensitivity during this time, I can assure all of my fans this is only residue from a child custody matter."

No joke: 'Twins' sequel in the works, with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito, and Eddie Murphy

When Twins came out in 1988, it marked the first time Arnold Schwarzenegger — then known as the muscle-bound star of R-rated action movies like Predator and The Terminator — had tried his hand at headlining a comedy. It was his biggest hit to date. About a genetically perfect test-tube baby (Schwarzenegger) and his accidental low-life twin brother (Danny DeVito), Twins remains Schwarzenegger’s highest grossing comedy, and also ranks as one of the most successful films of DeVito and director Ivan Reitman’s careers. Adjusted for inflation, it pulled in a robust $218 million in the U.S. So who’s up for a sequel? Schwarzenegger and DeVito are attached to Triplets, a sequel to their 24-year-old hit that would co-star Eddie Murphy — yes, Eddie Murphy — as their long-lost third sibling. The project remains in the very early stages of development.

The "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" rocker's career suffered as a result of the shocking controversy. Lewis and sixth wife Kerrie McCarver were married for 20 years before divorcing in 2004.

Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom divorce rumors
A report has come out of Hollywood Life that says reality star Khloe Kardashian and NBA husband Lamar Odom are having problems since their move to Dallas. The insider source says it's because in Dallas, they have to spend so much time together. The source says: "One of the main reasons the relationship is having trouble, which in turn is also hurting his game, is they are spending more time with each other ... they are now both fish out of water in Dallas and there are less outlets to get away from each other, which is having a strain on their relationship. They have no absence from each other to make the heart grow fonder. When they were in L.A. and did the show, it was a reward because that is when they would see each other -- but now it's too much." Bobby Brown Charged With DUI

Bobby Brown was pulled over on Monday when he was caught talking on his cell phone while driving, and now Whitney Houston’s ex-husband is being charged with a DUI. Not only was he talking on his phone and intoxicated, but he was driving with a suspended license. I think Bobby Brown and Lindsay Lohan should just pool their resources and hire a 24-hour-a-day car service.  Bobby reportedly had a .12 blood alcohol level when he was tested at the scene, well over the .08 legal limit.

The 23-year-old model and fashion blogger from Plano, Texas, has filed court documents in Dallas suing the company insuring the plane owned by defendants Shell Aviation and Michael Shell and piloted by Curt Richmond. Rodman broke, extremely sick
Former NBA star Dennis Rodman is unable to make his required spousal and child support payments because he is "extremely sick" due to his struggles with alcoholism and "broke," according to court documents filed by his lawyer. The former NBA badboy owes $808,935 in back child support for the two children — ages nine and 10 — he had with his third wife, Michelle Rodman. He reportedly owes an additional $51,441 in spousal support. But Rodman's attorney said in court documents that the Basketball Hall of Famer can barely afford his own living expenses, let alone support payments. "Respondent Dennis Rodman is broke and cannot afford any additional fees," Rodman's attorney Linnea Willis wrote. Willis claimed Rodman was "extremely sick" and that his marketability was diminishing with age and illness, making it impossible for the five-time NBA champion to pay the $5,000 he owes monthly for one child from another relationship, in addition to the $4,500 he owes Michelle Rodman every month. Willis added the attorneys representing Rodman have been working pro bono. Rodman also has issues with the IRS. He withdrew his NBA pension for far below what it would eventually be worth to pay California taxes and still owes $350,000 in back taxes. He faces a possible 20-day jail sentence for contempt of court if he doesn't pay $860,000+ in child and spousal support to ex-wife Michelle Rodman by May 29. A staple of the "Bad Boys" Detroit Pistons squads of the late 1980s, Rodman was known for his flamboyant off-the-court behavior and ever-changing hair color later in his career. The unheralded second round draft pick out of Southeastern Oklahoma State helped the Pistons to two NBA titles in 1989 and 1990 and took home three more rings with the Chicago Bulls from 1996 to 1998. Rodman was picked seven times for the NBA All-Defensive First Team and led the league in rebounding for seven straight seasons. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in August.

Khloé Kardashian Quits PETA after Flour Bombing of Kim Kardashian

After Kim Kardashian got pelted by a flour bomb, the anti-fur group PETA not only pledged to support the alleged attacker if Kardashian pressed charges, but lashed out at the reality starlet. Now her sister Khloé is fighting back. Once so strong a supporter that she posed nude for a PETA ad, Khloé announced Monday that she's quitting the organization. "I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise," Khloé writes on her blog. "Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior."  She adds: "I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me. As you all know, I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that." PETA responded to Khloé's decision, saying in a statement, "We appreciate that Khloé will remain on the animals' side by not wearing fur – that's what counts. If one of our volunteers is responsible, it doesn't alter the fact that no animal deserves to be electrocuted, shot, or poisoned for a bit of fur clothing. Khloé is just defending her sister, and we know she has a good heart, so we wish her well. We just wish she also had more influence on her sister." Although denying being responsible for the attack, PETA says it would help the suspect if she were prosecuted. "I am absolutely disgusted by their behavior," writes Khloé. "Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions – I personally don’t wear fur but that doesn’t mean I am going to force my views on anyone else, ESPECIALLY by violating them."

Whitney Houston Died from Accidental Drowning | Whitney Houston Whitney Houston's official cause of death was due to accidental drowning, the Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed. The singer, 48, was also found to have cocaine in her system. Contributing factors of her death included heart disease and cocaine use, an investigation found. The report also found that Houston had marijuana, Xanax, Benadryl and other medication in her system. "There was water found in her lungs that indicated to us that she was alive when she was submerged underwater," coroner chief Craig Harvey says. "According to our tests, the level of cocaine was not necessarily a lethal level of cocaine. But her death was complicated by chronic cocaine use and heart disease."Coroner assistant chief Ed Winter says the circumstances of Houston's death come down to two likely scenarios. "She could've passed out first due to the intoxication from the cocaine, or she could've had a heart attack and then drowned," Winter also said. "It's probably one of those two scenarios." Houston was found unresponsive and underwater in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Feb. 11, a day before the Grammy Awards, and was pronounced dead at the scene soon afterward. Coroner officials previously confirmed that prescription pill bottles were found in her room, but the number of pills were "not in alarming amounts."

Bush was arrested and taken to Charlotte County Jail. Bush faces multiple DUI-related charges and leaving the scene of an injury accident. The overall top pick in the 2004 MLB Draft was driving in his SUV on US 41 around 5 p.m. when he hit a motorcyclist from behind, according to the Florida Highway Patrol — allegedly driving over the man's head in the process, according to the Tampa Bay Tribune. jamie-waylett.jpgBack in October, news broke that "Harry Potter" actor Jamie Waylett -- who played the Slytherin bully Vincent Crabbe in six of the hit films -- was arrested for possession of explosives following the Aug. 8 riots in London. Waylett was caught on camera drinking stolen champagne while holding what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail. He's had trouble with the law before -- in 2009, Waylett was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession. "A considerable amount has been said about what happened over those few days," the judge told Waylett. "Anyone watching the footage in this case can only imagine the mayhem that took place on the streets. You chose to go out on to the streets on what was the third day of the violence... You were pictured on a number of occasions with a bottle full of petrol with a rag as a wick. I accept entirely the jury's verdict that you did not throw or have any intention of throwing it but merely being in possession of it would have been terrifying to anyone who saw you." Waylett has been sentenced to two years in prison but will be eligible for release after one year.

Oprah Winfrey's OWN fires one-fifth of its workforce

Oprah Winfrey's OWN cable channel has been struggling with ratings recently and has now been forced to fire 30 employees, one-fifth of its workforce. The station, which debuted Jan. 1, 2011, announced a restructuring of its network operations Monday (March 19), when Oprah said in a statement: "It is difficult to make tough business decisions that affect people's lives, but the economics of a start-up cable network just don't work with the cost structure that was in place. Restructuring our business will allow us to build a solid foundation for long-term growth." Is Bobbi Kristina Brown Engaged to 'Adopted Brother'?

The eyebrow-raising relationship between Whitney Houston's daughter and the man raised by the singer as a son may have gone one big, baffling step further. Just a little over a month after Houston died, Bobbi Kristina Brown, 19, was spotted with a ring on her engagement finger following days of very public PDA with Nick Gordon. One source says, "Yes, they are engaged, but the family is trying to coax her away from it. " Another source says, "Nick asked Krissi about a week ago to marry him" and that she's wearing a ring that once belonged to her mom. But the source doesn't know if Brown said yes. The two have been living together in Houston's house and have known each other for years. Gordon reportedly was taken in by Houston more than a decade ago and had been living with the family in her Atlanta home. There is no evidence, however, he was ever legally adopted by Houston, who died on Feb. 11 at age 48.

"I know how frustrating this process is for you," White told the jury. She then sent the jurors home for the weekend, telling them that if they couldn't come to a verdict on Monday, a mistrial would likely be declared. However, attorneys for both sides are meeting with Judge Helen Bendix in a possible move to settle the lawsuit.

Kiefer Sutherland Furious as Fox Pulls Plug on '24' Movie
Kiefer Sutherland is furious at 20th Century Fox, which has called a halt to the movie version of his hit television show, “24,” over budget and star salary issues. The movie based on the conspiracy-terrorism-action show was in pre-production and set to start shooting next month, but has now ground to a halt because Fox will greenlight a budget no higher than $30 million, while Sutherland and producer Brian Grazer feel the budget needs to be in the low $40s at its tightest. A Fox spokesman confirmed that the movie was on hold, and said it was related to timing. "We're still working on a script, and hope to make [it] when Kiefer next has time," said the spokesman. "But this all came down to timing, and seven weeks is not enough time to prep a movie like this."

So to set the record straight, the actors said: "There are rumors out there which are completely untrue and hurtful to our family. We just want to make it very clear – there are no third parties involved." The statement, made jointly by Facinelli, 38, and Garth, 39, comes a day after they jointly announced their plans to divorce.

Rush Limbaugh Loses More Advertisers, But Protests: ‘The Left Made Me Do It’

Rush Limbaugh apologized on Monday as he lost two more advertisers and Peter Gabriel’s music for his conservative radio talk show in the fallout from having called a female law student a “slut.” That made a total of nine sponsors who have distanced themselves from the talk show host, who is not known for restrained language on the most uneventful of days. Meanwhile, rock star Peter Gabriel also demanded that his song, “Sledgehammer,” be pulled from the show. On his Facebook page, Gabriel said he was "appalled" to learn that his song had been associated with the attack oin Fluke: "Peter was appalled to learn that his music was linked to Rush Limbaugh's extraordinary attack on Sandra Fluke," the singer wrote on his page. "It is obvious from anyone that knows Peter's work that he would never approve such a use. He has asked his representatives to make sure his music is withdrawn and especially from these unfair aggressive and ignorant comments." He addressed the issue again on his show on Monday, even as advertisers continued to tumble, blaming the left for pushing him to extreme tactics: "I don't expect, and I know you don't either, morality or intellectual honesty from the left," he said. "...This is the mistake I made: in fighting them on this issue last week, I became like them.Against my own instincts, against my own knowledge, against everything I know to be right and wrong, I descended to their level. I feel very badly about that."

Jon Hamm assures Kim Kardashian 'idiot' statement was 'not personal'

Not a “Mad Man,” so much as a “Mildly Miffed Man” (doesn’t have quite the same ring, does it?). Jon Hamm has responded to the reaction from Kim Kardashian regarding a statement he made to the U.K. edition of Elle. “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated,” Hamm told the magazine. “Being a f—ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly…. It’s celebrated. It doesn’t make sense to me.” (We have no idea what he could possibly be referencing.) Kardashian took offense to the statement and spoke her mind on Twitter, telling followers, “I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless.” (As of press time, there’s still no reaction from “Paris Hilton…or whoever.”) So how did Hamm address Kim’s umbrage? Find out below. At Tuesday’s Mad Men panel at Paley Fest reporters decided to ask Hamm not about what we can expect from Don Draper (is he still engaged to Megan, for cryin’ out loud?!) or that excruciating hiatus, but about the possibility that Kim Kardashian’s feelings may have been hurt. “It’s surprising to me that it has become remotely a story,” he said. “I don’t know Ms. Kardashian, I know her public persona. What I said was meant to be more on pervasiveness of something in our culture, not personal, but she took offense to it and that is her right.”

On the drama side, the network is bringing back NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, CSI, The Mentalist, Person of Interest, Blue Bloods and Hawaii Five-0 in addition to The Good Wife. On the comedy side, CBS renewed 2 Broke Girls and Mike & Molly. Previously, the network announced multi-year pickups for HIMYM and Big Bang Theory. The future of Monday night tent-pole comedy Two and a Half Men is under “preliminary discussions” with studio Warner Bros., CBS says. Reality shows Amazing Race and Undercover Boss are also getting picked up, with Survivor having already been announced. The network is also bringing back 60 Minutes and 48 Hours Mystery. Just because a show isn’t on the list doesn’t yet mean it’s cancelled. The fates of titles like CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, Unforgettable and A Gifted Man are still unknown.

HBO has elected to cancel production on Luck following the death of a third horse on the racetrack drama series. The network released this statement: “It is with heartbreak that executive producers David Milch and Michael Mann together with HBO have decided to cease all future production on the series Luck. Safety is always of paramount concern. We maintained the highest safety standards throughout production, higher in fact than any protocols existing in horseracing anywhere with many fewer incidents than occur in racing or than befall horses normally in barns at night or pastures. While we maintained the highest safety standards possible, accidents unfortunately happen and it is impossible to guarantee they won’t in the future. Accordingly, we have reached this difficult decision. We are immensely proud of this series, the writing, the acting, the filmmaking, the celebration of the culture of horses, and everyone involved in its creation.” The first-year drama had already earned a second-season pickup, so production was underway on the second of 10 new episodes.
