Redmond O’Neal arrested for alleged drug possession

Redmond O’Neal, the son of Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett, was arrested Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., when police allegedly found heroin in his car. The 26-year-old O’Neal, who has struggled with substance abuse for years and served time in jail and rehabilitation facilities for drug-related offenses, was also charged with violating probation and a red-light infraction. He is being held without bail while awaiting a court appearance.


Janet Jackson is Secretly Engaged?

Third times a charm? Janet Jackson may get married for a third time to her much younger Qatari businessman and billionaire Wissam Al Mana. Rumor is that they got engaged last year but Janet was in the middle of her "Number One: Up Close and Personal tour" and wasn't ready to go public with the engagement. The 45-year-old singer has been married twice before. In 1984 she married R&B singer James DeBarge, the union was annulled a year later. Then in 1991 she secretly married music-video director Rene Elizondo, but the two divorced in 2000. Since then Janet had a 7-year romance with record producer Jermaine Dupri, but that ended in 2009. As soon as her romance with Dupri ended, this cougar met 9 years-her-junior Wissam Al Mana. "Janet's telling friends that an official engagement will come by summer's end, and that she and Wissam will marry in late 2011," says a source.



Linda Evangelista Wants $46,000 in Monthly Child Support

Salma Hayek's husband may soon be digging deep into his pockets for child support – $46,000 a month deep, if supermodel Linda Evangelista has her way.A month after it was revealed that Hayek's husband, François-Henri Pinault, fathered a son with Evangelista, the veteran cover girl filed her support order in Manhattan Family Court. "That would probably be the largest support order in the history of the family court," support magistrate Matthew Troy, who is expected to mediate the decision, told the New York Post. According to court papers filed by Evangelista, 46, earlier in the summer, her son, Augustin James, 4, was fathered by Pinault. Hayek, 44, and Pinault, 49, wed in 2009, but dated since 2006 – around the time Evangelista got pregnant. The French businessman has two other children from a previous marriage, which ended in divorce in 2004, and a daughter with Hayek, Valentina, who turns 4 in September. Evangelista's lawyer, William Beslow, told the magistrate that Pinault has "just been sitting back, paying zero." The financial support, he continued, would be used to cover an around-the-clock nanny (an estimated $80,000 a year) and drivers who are retired police detectives (an estimated $175,000 a year). Pinault lawyer David Aaronson, meanwhile, challenged the requests, pointing out in court, "She testified that she wants to have a 24-hour nanny because she does not want to be alone with the child ... Miss Evangelista, you should understand, has a worth of more than $8 million, and she earned, last year, $1.8 million." The judge responded, "These are the extraordinary expenses that may be a part of the child's life," referring to the costs of raising Augustin in the spotlight. The judge also considered Evangelista's work schedule, which she testified can sometimes "be a 16-hour day." The judge did shoot down the $7,500 the model was seeking for monthly vacation expenses.



Jennifer Lopez: I Loved Myself Enough to Walk Away

Her self-respect and the need to be treated properly contributed to Jennifer Lopez's decision to end her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez says in her first interview since the couple announced their separation. "It’s not that I didn't love myself before," Lopez, 42, tells Vanity Fair in its September issue. "Sometimes we don't realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself – if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me." She adds, "I love myself enough to walk away from that now." Lopez says both she and Anthony worked at making their marriage work. "Sometimes it doesn’t work – and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love." Saying that she knows her own strengths, Lopez now welcomes the challenges ahead and looks forward to being the best "mother, entertainer and person" she can be. Lopez is the mother of 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme. As for her ex, "I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer," she says, citing how especially well they work together. "He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children."



Jay-Z and Kanye reportedly clash over 'Watch the Throne' Tour

Jay-Z and Kanye West have not even begun their tour in support of "Watch the Throne," their collaboration as the rap duo the Throne, but they are reportedly already clashing. The rappers are "barely speaking" over a dispute over the production values of their tour, which is set to kick off in Detroit on September 22nd. Sources say that West is pushing for a flashy concert with "next-level production," while Jay-Z is focused on keeping costs low in the interest of paying back a long-term advance from the promoter, Live Nation. "Jay-Z can't deal with Kanye," an insider said. "Jay is a stone-cold businessman. He wants to recoup all of his money from Live Nation, but Kanye wants to upstage rock stars with a blowout show. He doesn't care about costs. He has a lot less to gain from the shows." The rap titans will need to come to an agreement regarding the staging of their tour by next week. There is some speculation that the two refused to share a stage at last Monday's Young Jeezy show in Manhattan, but they are scheduled to appear together at a Watch the Throne listening party at the Rose Planetarium in Central Park later today. Jay-Z denied that their is any animosity between he and Kanye in an interview on Hot 97 earlier today. "Kanye's my brother," he said. "Yes, we get on each other's nerves. We push each other to be greater. Of course, there are times when we're in the studio and we're yelling. I would never disrespect that man or put my hands on him."



Grant Show of Melrose Place Getting Divorced

Grant Show is on the road to becoming single. The wife of the former Melrose Place actor has filed for divorce. Citing irreconcilable differences, actress Pollyanna McIntosh says the assets at stake include her diamond wedding ring, her diamond and sapphire engagement ring, a 1968 Mustang convertible, a 1978 Corvette Singray and furniture and appliances. McIntosh, 32, and Show, 49, wed in 2004, after meeting on a Lane Bryant shoot in 2003 where they posed together in the ad. They have no children. – Dahvi Shira




Kings of Leon Tour Cancellation Rumors

Kings of Leon announced their U.S. tour was being canceled on Monday, due to Caleb Followill's "vocal issues and exhaustion." As per usual, the official use of the word "exhaustion" comes on the heels of some embarrassing public behavior involving too much of a certain substance. In Caleb's case, the culprit is likely related to his announcement during a show in Dallas on Friday that, "I'm gonna go backstage and I'm gonna vomit. I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out and play three more songs." He then left the stage and did not return. His brother, Jared, later tweeted an apology to their fans in Texas: "I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade." Caleb's drug use has allegedly been a problem for the band fir some time.



Samantha Ronson Arrested for DUI

So much for Lindsay Lohan's inspirationally stable ex. Samantha Ronson was arrested for DUI at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning. The 33-year-old DJ was driving her black Porsche home from a gig at Lavo in Las Vegas when police stopped her for speeding. "When she was stopped, she showed signs of being impaired," police say. "[The officer] gave her balance tests and she showed signs of alcohol intoxication." She reportedly refused a breathalyzer and was arrested immediately on two misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence. She was then taken into custody, where her blood alcohol was found to be over the legal limit. Ronson was released at 5:30 p.m. that day.



Laurence Fishburne cast as Perry White in ‘Man of Steel’

Lois Lane and Clark Kent just got their boss: Laurence Fishburne will play Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White in Man of Steel.

"Southland" is adding Lucy Liu to its cast for next season -- but we can't tell you much more than that. TNT announced the addition of Liu to the series but was rather stingy with details, saying only that her character is "a member of the LAPD." She'll be billed as a special guest star and will appear in multiple episodes.



Jennifer  Lopez will be returning as a judge to the show next season with a contract from Fox that hits the $20 million mark. Last year Jennifer was paid $12 million Now the only hurdle appears to be scheduling the audition segments between the two movies she's
shooting.



A stand-up comedienne whose acting credits include Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up, the semi-autobiographical docu Paper Heart (which she wrote, and costarred then-beau Michael Cera), and NBC’s Love Bites, Yi is joining the medical drama as another new addition to the Princeton-Plainsboro diagnostics team.



There is going to be a "Friday Night Lights" movie, my fellow football loving
friends. According to the series' executive producer Peter Berg, the movie is on
track and the script is being written. They hope to be in production early next
year.




Charlie Pays for Brooke's Rehab

Charlie Sheen is paying for his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, to go through rehab.
Reportedly the actor didn't like the idea of Brooke heading to Mexico for treament that involved prescribing a drug that's not legal in the United States. Word is that Charlie actually flew down to Mexico in a private jet, picked her up, and brought her back to the States and has set her up with her own rehab team at an undisclosed location.
