Lost Star Matthew Fox Accused of Assaulting a Woman
Matthew Fox was detained by cops in Cleveland, Ohio Saturday night after allegedly assaulting a woman outside of a bar. The "Lost" star allegedly tried to enter a party bus even though he wasn't a guest on the vehicle. The female bus driver repeatedly asked him to get off the bus and stood to block him from getting on board, at which point, he allegedly punched her in the breast and the "stomach area." The altercation was witnessed by an off duty cop, who handcuffed him until he was detained by police. The bus driver, Heather Bormann says she thinks Matthew was drunk, saying he smelled like a brewery, when she warned him several times to stop trying to get on the private bus Saturday night. She also claims "he just stepped in for a right hook to my pelvis area and started wailing on me like I was a man." Heather says she fought back in self-defense -- landing a left to Matt's jaw, spraining her hand in the process. She explained she is meeting with prosecutors tomorrow to file charges.

Josh Brolin Is Spike Lee’s ‘Oldboy’

Feelings towards Spike Lee’s Oldboy project remain quite hostile, despite the recent news that Christian Bale is currently considering the film as his potential followup to The Dark Knight Rises. Bale is eying the villain role in Lee’s Americanized take on Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook’s cult-classic (itself, an adaptation of a Japanese comic book). The lead role in the picture, however, has now officially been filled. Josh Brolin has signed on to headline Oldboy, which was finally rescued from development limbo when Lee signed on earlier this summer. Brolin, will play the part of Joe, a man who, on the day his daughter is born, is captured and imprisoned in a hotel room for over two decades with no understanding as to why. When he is suddenly released, he’s told that he has just four days to determine the reason for his imprisonment and, if he cannot, his daughter will be killed.

HBO Star Larry David Labeled a Home-Wrecker After Taking Up With Married Actress

Actor Larry David has gone from home-wrecked to home-wrecker with his new girlfriend, Amy Landecker, who was married when they first met. The "Curb Your Enthusiasm" creator, whose own wife left him in 2007, has moved on with the lovely yet married Landecker, 41, who he wooed on the set of his HBO show last year while they filmed the episode "The Bi-Sexual." Landecker, an actress who also starred in "A Serious Man," appeared on the episode as a bisexual Jane Cohen, who was pursued by both David and his rival, talk-show host Rosie O'Donnell. Sources say there were "sparks on the set" between the 64-year-old comedian and Landecker, who was wed for six years to journalist Jackson Lynch. Landecker has been seen out with David, in events in New York and Los Angeles, since February but only filed for divorce from Lynch, with whom she has one daughter, in March. Their divorce is still pending. Landecker's rep said it was "unequivocally not true" that David was the cause of her break-up but Lynch said his wife began dating the Emmy Award-winning writer before she had filed for divorce. According to his rep David countered, "For what it's worth, the only marriage I've ever broken up is my own."

Mythbusters returns to Discovery Channel with new fall episodes on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 9/8c.

The show, "Punk’d" is officially back, but this time with a twist. It's  no longer only Ashton Kutcher to be afraid of!  Miss Taylor Swift was the first victim of the season and it was her friend, Justin Bieber who launched it! Ashton will no longer be the regular host of the show. Instead, a different celebrity will pull hosting duties each episode. Ashton still serves as executive producer.

True Blood vamp Jessica Tuck is temporarily retracting her fangs for a guest spot on ABC’s Castle. The actress will play a wealthy museum benefactor who becomes a suspect in a murder investigation.

Disney Channel has renewed its family comedy, Good Luck Charlie, for a third season, set to bow in early 2012.

The 13 names announced to be hitting the dance floor this season are:
David Arquette | The Scream superstar, 39, is no stranger to hamming it up for the camera, so making his presence known on the series won’t be an issue.

Ron Artest | The 31-year-old controversial Lakers star (and wannabe rapper) will do his best to bring that competitive pro-athlete edge to the dance floor.

Chaz Bono | Sonny Bono and Cher’s famous offspring, 42, who recently underwent a very public gender transition, will make DWTS history as the first transgender contestant.

Elizabetta Canalis | Most famous for dating — then parting ways with — superstar George Clooney, the stunning 32-year-old Italian actress will have no problem shimmying her way around the ballroom in those skimpy costumes. TV types may recognize Canalis from her recurring role on Season 3 of TNT’s Leverage.

Kristin Cavallari | The Hills hottie, 24, is currently nursing a broken heart after calling off her engagement with NFL stud Jay Cutler, so what better way to rebound than by showing off some (hopefully) smooth moves on the dance floor?

Nancy Grace | The boisterous HLN talking-head, 51, is ditching those vesty pants suits for sequined ball gowns. Let’s just hope whoever she’s partnered up with can take a little criticism. Added bonus: This is dream fodder for E!’s The Soup.

Rob Kardashian | Following in big sis Kim’s footsteps, the 24-year-old male Kardashian is set to bring that cocky ‘tude of his to the celeb dancing series.

Carson Kressly | An Emmy-winning television star, celebrity stylist, author and fashion designer, Kressly, 41, and his big personality will be a welcome addition to the competition.

Ricki Lake | Fans of Hairspray know well the dance skills of this onetime talk show host. The question is: Have the 42-year-old’s smooth moves stood the test of time?

J.R. Martinez | Now that All My Children has wrapped (for now, at least), the 28-year-old Pine Valley policeman (and real-life retired soldier) will try his hand at something new: dancing.

Ryan O’Neal | The 70-year-old Academy Award-winning actor — who recurs as dad to Emily Deschanel on Fox’s Bones – will attempt to show fans that there’s no age limit when it comes to boogieing down. Fun fact: Daughter Tatum O’Neal participated in DWTS Season 2.

Chynna Phillips | Fresh off of her surprise cameo in the summer sensation Bridesmaids, the Wilson Phillips frontwoman, 43, will try to prove that her dance skills are up to par with those vocal chops.

Hope Solo | The U.S. women’s soccer star, 30, is already at a huge advantage going into the competition: She’s an actual athlete. And athletes (almost) always win when it comes to Dancing.
Season 13 of Dancing With the Stars premieres Monday, Sept. 19 at 8/7c.

Crittenton charged in woman's death

Javaris Crittenton was wanted on a murder charge as police searched on Saturday for the former NBA player in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Crittenton has been charged in the fatal shooting of 22-year Jullian Jones, a mother of four who was gunned down Aug. 19 on an Atlanta street. A spokesman with the Atlanta police said Crittenton was not in custody. Calls to the FBI and U.S. Marshal's office weren't immediately returned. Three of Crittenton's neighbors in Fayetteville said SWAT members executed a search warrant last week on his residence. The neighbors declined to give their names to The Associated Press during interviews near Crittenton's home in an affluent cul-de-sac 17 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. No one answered the door at Crittenton's residence, a three-story brick home with a manicured lawn and a small backyard. Crittenton, who spent the 2006-07 season at Georgia Tech and played in 113 NBA games, allegedly killed Jones with shots fired from a dark-colored SUV, police said.  According to Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos, investigators don't believe Jones was the intended target. His motive, Campos said, appeared to be retaliation for an April robbery in which Crittenton was a victim. Crittenton, who averaged 5.3 points and 1.8 assists in his career, last played in the NBA during 2008-09. He was sidelined by an ankle injury the following season, during which he and teammate Gilbert Arenas were suspended for a gun-related incident in the Wizards' locker room. Crittenton pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge on Jan. 25, 2010, and received probation. After the Wizards declined to re-sign him, he signed a non-guaranteed contract with Charlotte before last season. The Bobcats waived him Oct. 15, and he then played five games in China for the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions.

Songwriter Nickolas Ashford dies at age 70

Songwriter Nickolas Ashford, who penned such rhythm and blues hits as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "I'm Every Woman" with his wife Valerie Simpson, died on Monday at age 70. Ashford, who had been treated for cancer, died at a New York hospital with his family at his side, publicist Liz Rosenberg said. A native of South Carolina, Ashford met Simpson in the early 1960s at White Rock Baptist Church in Harlem, after he moved to New York to pursue a career in entertainment and found himself homeless. Simpson played the piano and sang in a church choir, which Ashford soon joined. The two began writing songs together and had their breakthrough hit in 1966 when Ray Charles released their composition "Let's Go Get Stoned." It was the beginning of a partnership that saw the duo marry in 1974 and write a string of hits.
They were signed to Motown Records, where they penned the 1967 classic Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell duet "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." Gaye and Terrell also had hits with the couple's songs "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing" and "You're All I Need to Get By." Ashford and Simpson's other songs include "Send It," "Found a Cure," and "Don't Cost You Nothing." Their composition "I'm Every Woman" was recorded by Chaka Khan and later by Whitney Houston, and for a time was the opening theme song for Oprah Winfrey's TV talk show. Ashford and Simpson were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002. Ashford is survived by Simpson and their daughters Nicole and Asia, Rosenberg said.

Duff, who is married to Canadian professional hockey player Mike Comrie, announced her pregnancy on her web site Aug. 14. And when reports surfaced that the producers are looking for a new actress to play the part, speculation began that she was dropped from the project because she is pregnant. Not so, claim Tonya Holly and Tom Rogers, who are producing for Cypress Moon Studios. Kevin Zegers, who was set to costar as Clyde Barrow, is also no longer part of the project, with the producers saying he would not be available to begin filming until January. While the project has already encountered several delays – the producers cited ”financial, scheduling and other factors such as tornados devastating some of our locations” – they said they currently plan to begin production later this year. “Due to our obligations with investors and international buyers it is imperative that we stick to our current schedule,” they added. “Therefore we are forced to explore other options for the two lead roles. Lohan claims in the lawsuit that she is “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild.” She's suing under New York civil rights laws that protect people from having their name exploited for commercial benefit.
