Pair Plead Not Guilty to Stevie Wonder Extortion Two people charged with extorting Stevie Wonder have pleaded not guilty in a Los Angeles court. District attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison says Alpha L. Walker and Tamara Diaz entered the pleas Thursday and will return to court in the future for a pretrial hearing. It was the pair's first court appearance since a judge determined there was enough evidence for them to stand trial earlier this month.Walker is Wonder's cousin and is accused of trying to extort the Grammy-winning musician over a video that portrays Wonder negatively. Walker and Diaz, his girlfriend, were arrested in May after receiving $10,000 from Wonder's attorney in a police sting. Walker's attorney says his client simply made a movie about his life and his actions are protected by the First Amendment.
Eric Dane is Leaving Grey' Anatomy The actor announced Thursday that he will not be returning to ABC's Grey's Anatomy, telling TVLine in a statement, "I am extremely grateful to everyone at Grey's, ABC and Shondaland for the experience and memories I have had over the course of this run. It has been wonderful to work with Shonda Rimes and to learn from such a creative force." The actor, who plays Dr. Mark Sloan (aka "McSteamy") on the drama, did not come to the decision to leave the show lightly, says show creator Rhimes. "After much consideration and conversations, he and I have decided that this is the right time for his storyline to end," she said. "We're a big family here at Grey's with a long history together and Eric will always remain an important part of our show." Dane, who has two young daughters with wife Rebecca Gayheart, won't be completely gone from Grey's Anatomy when it begins its ninth season on Sept. 27. Though a plane crash claimed the life of his love Lexie (played by Chyler Leigh) during the season finale, Dane's character is expected to survive and return for a proper send-off.
Robert Pattinson Leaves Home He Shares with Kristen Stewart Robert Pattinson has packed his bags. Following Kristen Stewart's public apology for having a fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, the 26-year-old actor has left the Los Angeles home he shared with Stewart. In seclusion and not in contact with Stewart, 22, the British star "is heartbroken and angry," says the source. A "devastated" Stewart, meanwhile, described Pattinson as "the person I love and respect the most" in her apology following revelations of her indiscretion with Sanders, 41, a married father of two. The hookup with Stewart's Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders occurred recently, the source says. "She wasn't having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn't have happened," says the source. "She never meant to hurt anyone. She's a good person who just made a bad choice." the director also apologized to his wife and children saying he is "devastated."
Rupert Sanders's Wife Hinted at Marital Problems Before Kristen Stewart Scandal Just two weeks before news broke of Kristen Stewart's fling with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, his wife spoke of early troubles in their marriage. "I romanticized domesticity for a while, and loved having a shopping list of groceries stuck to the fridge," actress Liberty Ross said. "But moving [from London to Los Angeles] and starting a life all over again was a lot harder than I had anticipated. I just didn’t think it would be as isolating and daunting as it turned out to be." Ross also said that early in their seven-year marriage she sometimes felt like a single parent to daughter Skyla, 7, and son Tennyson, 5, due to Sanders's frequent directing-related absences. "I would never say out loud that I am raising my children alone, but a lot of the time it has felt like that," she said. Ross, who also was a well-known model, added: "I went from the glamor of working with Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano to living on an isolated hilltop, with my husband gone most of the time"
