The star, who appeared on R&B singer Ledisi's Grammy-nominated album "Pieces of Me," was driving with his cousin to pick up his new car when their vehicle collided with a tractor trailer. Jennifer Hudson's Ex-Brother-in-Law Convicted of Family Murders

Jennifer Hudson's former brother-in-law was convicted Friday of three counts of murder in the shooting deaths of her mother, brother and nephew. The jury in Chicago delivered its verdict against William Balfour, 31, after about 18 hours of deliberations. He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison. Hudson and her sister Julia said in a statement: "It is our prayer that the Lord will forgive Mr. Balfour of these heinous acts and bring his heart into repentance someday." Balfour was charged with the murders of Hudson's mother Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and 7-year-old nephew Julian King in 2008.

John Travolta's First Accuser Parts Ways with Attorney

John Doe No. 1, the first anonymous masseur to make sexual allegations against John Travolta, is getting a new attorney but remains on the lawsuit for now. Lawyer Okorie Okorocha says his client, whose claims appeared to be contradicted by photos, a restaurant receipt, airline records and other evidence, "is getting new representation." A second masseur is still being represented by Okorocha, and the lawsuit continues to list both men as plaintiffs, though it could be amended at any time. Each masseur is seeking $2 million for alleged assault and battery by Travolta during massage sessions in Beverly Hills and Atlanta. Travolta's attorney has strongly denied the allegations as "absurd" and "fiction." Meanwhile, a third accuser has come forward. Fabian Zanzi, a former crew member of Royal Caribbean Cruises, alleges the actor exposed himself and offered to pay him $12,000 to have sex during a May 2009 cruise out of Miami. Travolta attorney Marty Singer dismissed the latest accusations. "This individual is simply hopping on the bandwagon to get his 15 minutes of fame by coming up with a story for the first time with something that supposedly happened over three years ago," Singer said. "Nobody has ever heard from this guy before. No lawyer has contacted us." A fourth masseur has come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against John Travolta. Former Peninsula Hotel employee Michael Caputo says the actor, 58, was placed on the swanky hotel spa's blacklist for over three years because of "inappropriate behavior" around spa staff. "Travolta would always request a man for his massage, but after a while no one would take him," Caputo shares. "It got to the point where they couldn't find any men to take him, and they had to ban him." According to Caputo, male employees accused the star of "removing his towel, grinding against the massage table and lifting his butt in the air." "These are signs to a massage therapist he was trying to see how much he could get away with," the former masseur explains. "They went to management." Following a complaint to hotel officials, Caputo says Travolta was eventually removed from the blacklist.

Lil Boosie Found Not Guilty in Murder Trial
After just an hour of deliberation, the jury in the first-degree murder trial of Torrance "Lil Boosie" Hatch returned a unanimous not-guilty verdict this afternoon in Baton Rouge, Louisiana's 19th Judicial District Courthouse. The 29-year old rapper had been accused of paying $2,800 to Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding to kill Terry Boyd on October 20th, 2009. "The state put on its best case, but all the evidence supported the defense – right down to the very last witness, Rochelle Wagner, the sister of Terry Boyd and the mother of [Hatch's] child," said one of Hatch's defense attorney's, Martin Regan. "She took the stand and said what everyone else reiterated: there was never any beef between [Hatch] and Terry Boyd." The defense team was so certain of the weakness of the state's case that it took the unusual step of declining to call up a single witness. "Based upon the burden of proof lying with the state, the defense rests with the witnesses the state has put on," Jason Williams told the court yesterday, merely 10 minutes after the prosecution rested its case.

Douglas County sheriff's deputies entered and searched Andersen's home in an investigation related to their Internet Crimes Against Children unit. The Nuggets, in turn, have excused Andersen indefinitely from all team functions. The department began investigating Andersen in February after receiving information from a law enforcement agency in California. Hanavan declined to release details, including the nature of any pending charges, citing an ongoing investigation. He said they're asking that the case be sealed. Andersen answered the door at his Larkspur, Colo., home, about 40 miles south of Denver, and let deputies in, said Deborah Sherman, another sheriff's spokesperson. ''He did cooperate. He spoke with deputies,'' Sherman said. The unit investigating Andersen investigates child porn, Internet luring, child predators and child pornography. Andersen has been a controversial figure before and was suspended from the NBA for two seasons due to several failed drug tests for unspecified "drugs of abuse," but this investigation is an entirely different kind of serious.

The Houston Family Chronicles
Lifetime has picked up a series to air this year and feature Whitney's sister-in-law Pat, along with her brother Gary, mom Cissy and Pat's daughter Rayah as they take Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina under their wing, helping her get through day-to-day life and coping without her mother and best friend. Bobby Brown is finding it hard to be supportive about daughter Bobbi Kristina's plans to star in an upcoming reality show because, like any caring parent dealing with a grieving child, he wants her to sign on for HIS new reality show instead. Bobbi Kristina has reportedly cut off contact with dad Bobby, and sources have reportedly said the Houston family feels he's trying to exploit Bobbi K to make his reality show more marketable.
