Heavy D Autopsy Results Inconclusive

Authorities have not yet determined what caused Heavy D's death. After results were inconclusive, the Los Angeles coroner's office has deferred judgment on what killed the rapper/producer (born Dwight Errington Myers) suddenly at age 44 last Tuesday pending the results of toxicology tests. Officials said the autopsy results were unclear and that it could take several more weeks to determine a cause of death. Coroner's spokesperson Ed Winter has already stated that no illegal drugs were found at the rapper's Beverly Hills home, but that a doctor had recently prescribed medicine for a cough. "We need to see what's in his system," Winter said. The paper said toxicology tests are common in cases when a relatively young, healthy person dies unexpectedly. D had just returned from some shopping on the day of his death when he began complaining of difficulty breathing and collapsed. He died a short time later at a local hospital and officials believe his death is related to a medical issue and do not suspect foul play. A private funeral is planned on November 18 at Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, New York. Diddy and the Rev. Al Sharpton are expected to speak at the event and BET is planning a tribute to the Overweight Lover at Sunday's Soul Train Awards that will feature Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Curtis Blow, Naughty by Nature, Whodini and Stetsasonic's Daddy-O.

Justin Bieber Paternity Suit DismissedJustin Bieber's alleged baby mama has dismissed her paternity lawsuit against the singer. The suit was quietly dismissed late last week.  What's more, Mariah Yeater's lawyers, Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, have quit her from the case. Justin not only planned to take a DNA test when he returned to the U.S., he was going to sue Yeater and her lawyers for making a bogus claim.  And, as we reported, Justin's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, called the attorneys and informed them a suit was looming.

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner Call Off Engagement

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner's Melrose Place characters wed on TV almost a decade ago, but there is no real-life marriage in the works for the actors who played Amanda Woodward and Peter Burns. "Jack and Heather are no longer engaged," Locklear's rep says. The longtime couple, who got engaged in August, had Locklear's daughter Ava's stamp of approval. The actress was previously married to rockers Tommy Lee (1986 to 1993) and Richie Sambora (1994 to 2006).

Connie Britton Adopts a Baby Boy

For years, Connie Britton has been hard at work on her acclaimed show Friday Night Lights and most recently on the new hit American Horror Story. But the actress, 44, has just been cast in her most rewarding role yet: Mom. She's adopted a 9-month-old baby boy from Ethopia. After a three-year-long adoption process, the actress's dream of motherhood came true about a week ago, after she returned from the African country with her son Yoby – a nickname for Eyob, his given name. "I am thanking my lucky stars every day," Britton, 44 says.

Patti LaBelle sued for throwing a water bottle at a child

R&B legend Patti LaBelle still has an incredible voice, but apparently she’s a bad neighbor. In a just-filed lawsuit, a Manhattan woman is accusing the diva of verbally accosting her, attempting to attack her, and throwing a water bottle at her 18-month-old child. The incident is supposed to have occurred in the lobby of the New York building where the plaintiff lives and LaBelle was staying while performing in Fela!, the Broadway musical about the life and music of Fela Kuti. LaBelle was apparently upset that Roseanna Monk had allowed her child to wander around the area while the plaintiff attempted to sort out her luggage. According to the suit, LaBelle said something and Monk told her it was none of her business, at which point LaBelle launched into an obscenity-filled rant that ended with the water bottle toss. Monk filed a police report after the incident occurred, though no arrests were ever made. She filed the suit because, according to her lawyer, “someone’s got to teach her even a diva can’t attack and frighten and assault regular people in the building.”

NBA cancels more games
The NBA informed teams Tuesday that games had been canceled through Dec. 15. The report comes as little surprise following the players union's rejection of the owners' latest proposal for a new collective bargaining agreement on Monday. Players Association executive director Billy Hunter said Monday the players had approved disbanding the union in order to file an antitrust lawsuit against the league, kicking off what is expected to be a lengthy court battle. NBA commissioner David Stern, who had said the latest proposal was the owners' final offer, called the union's decision "irresponsible," adding that Hunter "has decided to put the season in jeopardy and deprive his players of an enormous payday." Stern previously cut all of November's games in two stages as talks continued to break down.

Gayle King is the latest to leave OWN
Oprah Winfrey's best friend is leaving her network to join the "Early Show" on CBS, but Gayle King's exit from OWN looks to be amicable. We are so happy for Gayle's opportunity of a lifetime," OWN presidents Sheri Salata and Erik Logan said in a statement. "She 'll be a fantastic host for the new morning show on CBS and we wish her all the best. Although her show will not continue on OWN, we look forward to her joining us from time-to-time as her schedule allows."The last episode of OWN's "The Gayle King Show" will air Thursday. King's exit follows several other high-profile departures from the network, which has burned through money and executives while earning fewer viewers than Discovery Health, the network it replaced at the start of the year. But the other departures were by executives, and King's exit, notably, is for an opportunity to join a much-larger network. Winfrey named herself permanent CEO and chief creative officer in July, replacing Christina Norman. Logan and Salata were named co-presidents at the same time. Robin Schwartz, the network's previous president, left well before the network launched after 10 months on the job.

LinkType="Page" GLink="0" Arg="12300">More photos</A> Courtney Love stormed offstage during Hole's appearance at Brazil's SWU festival on Sunday after an audience member held up a picture of her late husband Kurt Cobain. The outspoken rocker halted her set at the Sao Paulo event to call out a concert-goer in the crowd brandishing a photo of the Nirvana frontman, who took his own life in 1994. She shouted, "I don't need to see a picture of Kurt, a--hole, and I'm going to have you f--king removed if you keep holding that up. I'm not Kurt, I have to live with his f--king s--t and his ghost and his kid every day. Throwing that up is stupid and rude and I'm going to beat the f--k out of you if you do it again." The furious star then removed her guitar and flashed her middle finger as she walked offstage, declaring, "Great, we'll leave now. F--k you!" Love and her bandmates later re-emerged after a member of her entourage encouraged the crowd to chant, "The Foo Fighters are gay!", taking aim at the rockers' frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. The singer then took a dig at Grohl herself, ranting, "I don't care what you listen to at home, but if a guy takes money off my kid's table, f--k him."

Kris Humphries Plans to Sign His Divorce Papers

After lying low with family and friends in his home state of Minnesota for the past two weeks, Kris Humphries surfaced in New York on Monday evening. Humphries, who is in town "on business," says a source close to the 26-year-old, is working on moving on from his "devastating" split after 72 days of marriage to Kim Kardashian. While reports surfaced that Humphries is refusing to sign divorce papers and that he's hired a new lawyer, Minnesota-based Lee Hutton, to challenge Kardashian in court, sources close to Humphries insist neither story is true. "He will be signing the papers," says a source close to Humphries, adding that there will be no war between the two. And as for the reportedly new legal team: "There's nothing new about it," says the source. "[Hutton's] been his lawyer since day one."

The Situation Sues A&F
The Situation just turned up the heat in his ongoing feud with Abercrombie & Fitch -- filing a lawsuit against the clothing company ... 3 months after it publicly offered him money NOT to wear its clothes. A&F made a public ploy to distance themselves from the Situation back in August, offering him a cash bonus if he agreed never to wear Aber ever again. Sitch just filed a lawsuit in Florida, claiming Abercrombie has infringed on the GTL and the Situation trademarks, through its bogus advertising ploy and by selling T-shirts with the words "The Fitchuation" and "GTL...You Know The Deal" emblazoned on them. Sitch wants at least $4,000,000 in damages.
