Four-time Pro Bowl DL McGlockton dies

Stanford assistant coach and four-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Chester McGlockton has died. The school said Wednesday that McGlockton died overnight of an apparent heart attack. He was 42. A first-round pick of the Los Angeles Raiders in 1992, McGlockton worked for Stanford’s football program the past two seasons as a defensive assistant. “Everyone in the Stanford Football family is deeply saddened by the passing of Chester McGlockton,” Stanford football coach David Shaw said in a statement. “For the past two seasons, Chester has been a valuable member of our football staff and a wonderful friend to us all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Chester’s wife Zina and their two children.”  A native of Whiteville, N.C., McGlockton starred at Clemson before being selected 16th overall by the Los Angeles Raiders in 1992. He played 12 seasons in the NFL with the Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos and New York Jets. He made all four of his Pro Bowl appearances while with the Raiders from 1994-97. ''I had the privilege to coach Chester with both the Raiders and the Chiefs, and he was a quality person and a consummate pro — everything you could ever want in a football player,'' Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham said. ''I will forever cherish the opportunity to have coached him.'' Big Chet, as he was known by many, was around 335 pounds during his career. But he had lost weight in recent years after undergoing laparoscopic weight-loss surgery and improving his workout and eating habits.

Mindy McCready Pregnant with Twins

The family news continues for Mindy McCready. On the same day she insisted that, despite reports, she did not kidnap her 5-year-old son Zander, a rep for the troubled country singer confirmed that McCready, 36, is five months pregnant with twins. According to reports, the father of the babies-to-be is unknown. Police say that McCready and her son disappeared after she picked him up from her father's house in Cape Coral, Fla., on Tuesday. The songstress, who has a history of suicide attempts, a jail visit and a stint in rehab, does not have custody of Zander, but she does have visitation privileges. "I am working with lawyers to try to get all this straightened out,” she said Wednesday. "I did not steal my child, as it would be impossible for me to kidnap what already belongs to me! There never was any missing persons report and never an Amber Alert."
Wayne Gretzky's Daughter Closes Racy Twitter Account Paulina Gretzky's prolific (and racy) Tweeting didn't score any points with her famous father, apparently. The party-girl daughter of hockey superstar Wayne Gretzky shut down her Twitter account over the weekend – apparently after a chat with her father. "Having a nice sit down dinner with my dad about social media..haha," Paulina Tweeted last week – before closing her account. The 22-year-old aspiring model, actress and singer was known for chronicling her party lifestyle and posting sexy photos wearing lingerie, bikinis and skimpy outfits on her account. Before singing off on Saturday, she Tweeted, "Taking a break from Twitter for a bit. Happy Holidays!!! xoxo"

Kris Humphries Seeks Annulment from Kim Kardashian, Claims 'Fraud'

Was it all just a TV show? Kris Humphries filed Wednesday for an annulment from Kim Kardashian, seeking to erase his 72-day marriage on the grounds of fraud. Even though the pair have a prenuptial agreement and no children, the NBA player is now set up for a possible legal fight with the reality starlet, who has filed for divorce. "There's a clear conflict if one spouse is seeking a divorce, but the other wants an annulment," says family law attorney Scott Weston, who is not involved in the case. "A judge will have to decide which to allow, which could take many months." But a source close to Kardashian says that a battle may be avoided. "She always wanted an annulment but attorneys were against it so she's happy that both parties agree now," says the source. In his Superior Court filing, Humphries marks the box reading "nullity of voidable marriage" and checks as the basis the box saying "fraud." Under California law, a nullity is granted if the court finds that no valid marriage ever occurred. Along with fraud, grounds for an annulment include bigamy, incest, force or if the couple are under the age of consent. Humphries's papers say that if he's denied an annulment then he wants a legal separation – not a divorce. Humphries and Kardashian do agree on one point: the date of separation, which he also lists as Oct. 31. After a whirlwind three-month engagement, the pair were married in a lavish ceremony filmed for Kardashian's show on E!.

Patrice O'Neal Dies at 41

New York-based comedian Patrice O'Neal died Monday after suffering a stroke in October that was related to his diabetic condition. He was 41. His death was confirmed via Twitter Tuesday by host Opie (Gregg Hughes) of the Opie and Anthony SiriusXM radio show, on which the stand-up comic was a regular guest. The message read: "Yes it's true that our pal Patrice O'Neal has passed away. The funniest and best thinker i've ever known PERIOD. #devastated." O'Neal, a 6' 5", 300-plus-lb. native of Boston, also appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Late Show with David Letterman and the sitcoms Arrested Development and The Office. In September, O'Neal, whose humor was often confrontational but funny, participated in the Comedy Central roast of Charlie Sheen, where other comedians made fun of his diabetes. It was his last performance.

George Michael "Slowly Improving" From Pneumonia Bout

The 48-year-old British singer was admitted to a hospital in Vienna on Nov. 21 for severe pneumonia, but a source close to the former Wham frontman says Michael is "getting better and better." Numerous reports -- including a Telegraph article stating Michael is "at death's door" -- claim the singer is suffering from much more serious health problems than pneumonia. British paper The Telegraph also reports that the Grammy winner's family and loved ones have flown in to be by his side at the hospital. But his publicist says that "any other speculation regarding his illness is unfounded and untrue. He is receiving excellent medical care. He is responding to treatment and slowly improving." The musician has sought treatment several times in the past for failing health and substance abuse problems. In Aug. 2010, he checked into a "detox program" after getting arrested for a previous DUI incident. He returned to rehab in Oct. 2010 after spending four weeks in jail in connection with his previous crash while driving under the influence.

Kourtney Kardashian: I'm Pregnant! Get ready for one more member of the extended Kardashian family to keep up with! Kourtney Kardashian and beau Scott Disick are expecting their second child together. The E! reality star, 32, took a pregnancy test about five weeks ago -- and woke up Disick, 28 (not a morning person!), around 7.a.m. to tell him the positive results. "Now I'm nine weeks along," Kardashian says. "You're supposed to wait 12 weeks to tell people, but I feel confident." The son or daughter-to-be will be the second child for the couple of five years, whose son Mason, nearly 2, was a bit of a surprise.

A Baton Rouge rapper known as "Lil Boosie" has been sentenced to eight years in prison following his guilty plea to drug charges. The 29-year-old rapper's real name is Torrence Hatch. He pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiring to smuggle codeine, marijuana and ecstasy into two state prisons. They were the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola and Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson, La. Assistant District Attorney Dana Cummings says Hatch was serving a prison term for a separate conviction for marijuana possession when he smuggled the drugs with help from a prison guard. State District Judge Mike Erwin in Baton Rouge sentenced him to the new prison term. Hatch also faces a first-degree murder charge in the 2009 death of Terry Boyd. The trial is scheduled to start April 30.

Kris Humphries to File for Separation – Not Divorce
The NBA player likely will file the court papers within days, say the sources. Rather than pursue a divorce as Kardashian has, the NBA player's ultimate intent is to annul the marriage, clearing the record of ever being married to the reality star. This would be a change of heart for Humphries. After Kardashian traveled to Minnesota and met with Humphries and the pastor who married them, sources close to Humphries insisted he intended to move on and sign the divorce papers.  Just 72 days after a lavish wedding, Kardashian, 31, filed for divorce from Humphries, 26, on Oct. 31, citing irreconcilable differences. Their troubles flared almost immediately and were on display in the season premiere of Kourtney & Kim Take Manhattan.

Mayday mayday, what’s going on with Pan Am? The ABC drama’s co-star Karine Vanasse sent a tweet that heavily suggested the show was finished: “Well, we received THE call, #PanAm is only coming back for one more episode after Christmas. But up to the end, we’ll give it our all!” THE call? One more episode? The End? And do airline pilots even say “mayday” anymore? ABC says Pan Am fans don’t need to assume crash positions … quite yet. But the signs aren’t good. The network ordered 13 episodes for the show’s first season. Then ABC quietly ordered one more, which is pretty grim. ABC is committed to airing all 14 — and that includes five episodes that will air next year, contrary to the Doom Tweet.

And though Season 1 wrapped with wannabe Seattle mayor Darren Richmond being wrongly pinched for — and then seemingly killed for — the murder, series boss Veena Sud assured us that in Season 2, “We will solve the investigation of who murdered Rosie Larsen — all will be revealed — and there will also be a second case that emerges.”

Summit, Lionsgate explore possible merger

Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment, two of the largest independent film studios in Hollywood, are discussing a possible merger. The deal makes a great deal of sense for both parties. Lionsgate has struggled this year with a series of high profile box office disappointments including Conan the Barbarian and Warrior, but has a considerable library of titles and the potential blockbuster franchise The Hunger Games set to launch next year. Summit, meanwhile, is still a relatively young studio with a comparatively smaller stable of titles to its name — but the Twilight franchise still looms large, with the final chapter, Breaking Dawn — Part 2, due next year. The talks, however, are in the very early stages, and other suitors for the studios remain possibly in the offing.

Tameka Raymond -- who had 2 kids with Usher during their brief 2 year marriage -- filed court papers in Georgia ... asking a judge to strip Usher of joint physical custody of their children ASAP. According to the docs, Tameka claims Usher has repeatedly FAILED to obtain her permission to travel outside the state with the kids ... which he's legally obligated to do. Tameka also claims Usher is required and has failed to:
-- get her approval before hiring nannies
-- give her first shot to watch the kids when he's away for more than 8 hours
-- allow her to take the kids for 2-weeks in the summer of 2011
-- let her have custody of the kids during Christmas break 2010

Tameka also claims Usher closed her Saks 5th Avenue credit card -- which he specifically said he wouldn't do -- and now she can no longer take advantage of the "special benefits" the card offers. According to the docs, Usher also promised to pay $5k per month so Tameka could hire her own nanny for the kids -- but he hasn't paid in months, and now owes $34,000 worth of payments. Tameka says there has been a "substantial change in [Usher's] income" since they got divorced -- and because of his success, she should get even more money for child support. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Wednesday.

Tentative NBA Deal Reached
Now that there's a handshake deal on a new labor agreement, NBA Commissioner David Stern and union executives must persuade owners and players to approve it, guaranteeing a Christmas Day tripleheader. After a 149-day lockout, owners and players reached the tentative deal early Saturday. It comes at a loss of hundreds of millions of dollars for both sides, on top of the fans and jobs that were lost during the stalemate. And it leaves the NBA with its second shortened season, with the hope of getting in 66 games instead of a full 82-game schedule. The lockout isn't quite over, but it appears the NBA's nuclear winter will be avoided. After a marathon 15-hour negotiating session Friday into Saturday, Stern accepted some congratulations, headed for another short night of sleep, then planned to brief his owners on a deal that could change the way they do business. Players, looking beat and beaten, face a tougher healing process in approving an agreement that significantly limits their earnings. First, players must drop a lawsuit against the league, reform their disbanded union and approve the handshake deal that was reached shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday. Players' association executives Derek Fisher and Maurice Evans hardly looked enthused about the agreement as they sat next to executive director Billy Hunter on the same side of a conference table as Stern, Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver and Spurs owner Peter Holt, the chairman of the league's labor relations committee. Just 12 days after talks broke down and Stern declared the NBA could be headed to a ''nuclear winter,'' he sat next to Hunter to announce the 10-year deal, with either side able to opt out after the sixth year. The sides reached a tentative agreement early Saturday to end the 149-day lockout and hope to begin the delayed season with the marquee tripleheader on Dec. 25 originally scheduled to air on ABC and ESPN. Most of a season that seemed in jeopardy of being lost entirely will be salvaged if both sides approve the handshake deal.

Questions dog Wyclef's Haiti fund
In the months following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, a charity run by hip-hop star Wyclef Jean spent a pittance of the money it took in on disaster relief and doled out millions in questionable contracts. A purported Miami business called Amisphere Farm Labor Inc. received a whopping $1,008,000 as a “food distributor.” No trace of the company could be found last week in the Sunshine State, but records show the company’s head, Amsterly Pierre, bought three properties in Florida last year, including a condo in an upscale waterfront community. The address listed for the business is an auto-repair shop in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood, where a worker said he had never heard of Pierre or Amisphere. Pierre did not return a call for comment. Yele Haiti also paid $577,185 to a company called Samosa SA, based in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince, as a “bulk water supplier.” But some of that money went to rent a house for Yele Haiti volunteers on Samosa’s property at the inflated price of $35,000 a month. “Given the fact that Yele Haiti was involved in a swirl of controversy after the earthquake in Haiti, it’s all the more reason to be more transparent to ensure donors that their funds are going to help people,” said the Better Business Bureau’s Bennett Weiner. The firm incorporated in August 2008 but never filed any of the subsequent financial paperwork required to do business in Florida, according to the Florida Department of State. Yele Haiti’s coffers swelled to $16 million in 2010, the most the charity had ever received. But less than a third of that went to emergency efforts, and $1 million was paid to a Florida firm that doesn’t seem to exist.  Jean’s charity, which he founded in 2005 with his cousin Jerry Duplessis, was already troubled when the earthquake struck Haiti on Jan. 12, 2010. The Post reported in 2008 that it had never filed a required tax form detailing its spending with the IRS. The group lost $244,000 in 2009. But hours after the earthquake hit, Jean took to Twitter to beg for $5 donations. An avalanche of donations poured in.  Almost immediately, allegations surfaced that the former Fugees singer had used the charity’s cash for his own benefit. Critics found that four years earlier Yele Haiti had steered $250,000 to a Haitian TV station controlled by Jean and Duplessis. Jean held a Jan. 18, 2010, press conference to tearfully defend Yele Haiti’s reputation. “Have we made mistakes before? Yes,” Jean said. “Did I ever use Yele money for personal benefits? Absolutely not. Yele’s books are open and transparent.”  For all the desperation, records show that Yele Haiti spent just $5.1 million for emergency relief efforts, including food and water delivery to makeshift survivor camps, according to a review of the charity’s 2010 tax filings. The earthquake killed between 200,000 and 300,000 Haitians and left a million homeless. The country is still in the grip of a cholera epidemic.

Next James Bond film will have a new Q
"Skyfall," the 23rd James Bond movie, will mark the return of spy-gadget specialist Q, who will now be played by Ben Whishaw. The casting of Whishaw -- who starred in the film "Bright Star," as well as BBC's TV drama "The Hour" -- is surprising, as Q has historically been played by an actor who is older than the actor playing James Bond. Whishaw is 31 years old, and 007 actor Daniel Craig is 43. Q was most memorably played by Desmond Llewelyn, who assumed the role for 17 Bond films. The last time Q appeared was in 2002's "Die Another Day," when he was played by John Cleese.

Green Bay Packer Arrested for Domestic Violence
Just hours after his team was victorious on Thanksgiving day, Green Bay Packers linebacker Erik Walden was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence against his live-in girlfriend. According to police, the incident occurred around 2:30 AM and cops were called a few hours later. Cops say the woman was treated at a local hospital for a cut and a bump on her head. Walden was arrested and booked at around 8:00 AM -- but because courts are closed for the holiday weekend, Walden will remain in the Brown County Jail until Monday morning. A rep for the Packers released a statement saying, "The Packers organization is aware of the situation involving Erik Walden. We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment."

Christian Bale says he's finished playing Batman
"Batman Begins" star Christian Bale is hanging up his cape for good -- his upcoming superhero movie will be his last. The actor took on the role for the first time in 2005's "Batman Begins," before returning to the part for the acclaimed "The Dark Knight" in 2008, which pulled in more than $1 billion at the global box office.  Bale has donned the Caped Crusader's cowl for a third time in director Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated "The Dark Knight Rises," which will see him fight both Bane and Catwoman, played by Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway, respectively. But Bale star insists the next installment will be the last time fans see him play Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego. He tells the Philippine Daily Inquirer, "I wrapped (filming) a few days ago so that will be the last time I'm taking that cowl off.  "I believe the whole production wrapped yesterday, so it's all done. Everything's finished. It's me and Chris -- that will be the end of that Batman era."

Bow Wow Owes the IRS
Bow Wow is all grown up now, but just because he's a lil older ... doesn't mean he's learned how to pay off Uncle Sam -- he owes almost six figures in back taxes, this according to court documents. A tax lien filed in Florida by the federal government says the rapper, real name Shad Gregory Moss, owes the government $91,105.61 for unpaid taxes from the year 2006.

T.O. Says He Can't Pay Child Support
T.O. filed legal docs in one of his child support cases, claiming he doesn't have nearly enough jack to pay his baby mama's attorney's fees, but in making his argument he revealed he's making a bloody fortune by tweeting. T. O. says he makes between $2,800 - $6,400 per tweet.  In one instance, he pulled in $2,800 to tweet for Cutters -- a football glove company.  He raked in $4,800 for tweeting on behalf of Old Navy.  And he got $6,400 for tweeting about Fantapper -- a sports social networking site. T.O. also discloses he's earned residual money for an episode of "Punk'd" and for his appearances on "Any Given Sunday" and "Necessary Roughness." T.O. scored $10 grand for promoting Yahoo Fantasy Football and $20 grand for promoting a Super Bowl party. So why is T.O. trying to get out from under paying his baby mama's attorney's fees? His average monthly expenses are $82,178.30, plus $44,602 in child support. T.O. says he has no new sources of income and is basically broke.

'More, More, More' singer Andrea True dies at 68
Andrea True, the singer behind the classic 1976 disco hit "More, More, More" died Nov. 7 in Kingston, N.Y., of undisclosed causes. She was 68. True had one of the weirder and more interesting life stories of any hit-making singer. Born in Nashville, True had attempted to launch a career as a legitimate actress before becoming a full-time porn star, a career she returned to after her music career ended. She recorded "More, More, More" while stranded in Jamaica, where she'd filmed a commercial. After that one hit, she recorded a few other singles and released her last album in 1980. Before her death, she was working as a drug counselor and astrologer.

PSU victim bullied out of school
The alleged victim who sparked the child molestation case against Jerry Sandusky has been forced to leave school due to bullying. The alleged victim -- referred to as Victim One in the 23-page grand jury presentment -- was forced to leave school midway through this senior year after fellow students at Central Mountain High School, about 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Penn State University, reacted harshly to the firing of head football coach Joe Paterno. The now 17-year-old's family psychologist, Mike Gillum, told The Patriot-News the name-calling and verbal threats became too much. School officials declined to comment on the situation, according to the report. The investigation into Sandusky began in 2008 after Victim One's mother made Central Mountain officials aware of the allegations of sexual assault. The alleged victim testified to meeting Sandusky through the former Penn State assistant coach's children's charity, The Second Mile, in 2005 or 2006. Victim One testified Sandusky subjected him to multiple sexual acts between 2006 and 2008. Sandusky had been assisting Central Mountain's varsity football program during that time and had "unfettered access to the school," according to the grand jury report. He was barred from the school district after the mother contacted officials and the matter was reported to authorities. The ensuing investigation culminated earlier this month in Sandusky being charged in a 40-count indictment of sexually assaulting eight boys over a period of 15 years.

Justin Bieber takes paternity test
Hoping to disprove alleged baby mama Mariah Yeater, Justin Bieber has taken a paternity test,  Yeater dropped her paternity lawsuit against Bieber, 17, last week, but the 20-year-old didn’t preclude plans to pursue her claim beyond the courtroom. Bieber’s team previously avowed its plan to “vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to protect Justin and to hold those involved with bringing this suit accountable for their actions.” Bieber himself said earlier this month, “I know that I’m going to be a target, but I’m never going to be a victim.”

Mariah Yeater Will Submit to a DNA Test
Mariah Yeater -- Justin Bieber's alleged baby mama  will submit her baby for DNA testing ... this according to her legal team. Attorney Jeffrey Leving says  his client is NOT avoiding the DNA test, and can't wait to compare baby Tristyn's DNA with Justin Bieber's. But Leving says he DOES have a big problem with the DNA test Justin has already taken, because a member of Yeater's team was not present while it was administered and he has no idea if the test was done using proper controls. Leving says his co-counsel has been in touch with Justin's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, Monday and Tuesday.  Leving says he hopes both sides will reach an agreement on a DNA protocol.

Ali Fedotowsky & Roberto Martinez Split

"Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have ended their relationship," the couple's rep says.  "As they go through this difficult time, we ask that you respect the couple's privacy." The duo's romance unfolded in 2010 on season 6 of the reality show, culminating with a romantic seaside proposal on the season finale. In October, Fedotowsky downplayed rumors that their relationship was on the rocks, saying there were other reasons for putting their wedding plans on hold. "We didn't meet in the most traditional way. We had a very short courtship and we only knew each other nine weeks before we got engaged," Fedotowsky said at the time. "We are still figuring out our lives as individuals." But Fedotowsky, 27, maintained she had still planned to tie the knot with her former fiancé. "We're still engaged, we're still living together," she said at the time. "We just don't feel the need to walk down the aisle right now."

Michele Bachmann on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon': House band The Roots play ‘Lyin' ass b--’ as candidate takes stage
Democrats are calling it one of The Roots' greatest hits. Jimmy Fallon's house band welcomed Republican presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann to the Late Night stage Monday night by playing a snippet of the Fishbone song, "Lyin' Ass B-." The Minnesota congresswoman appeared to miss the dig. She strode to the couch smiling and waving to the crowd while the hip-hop group tore into the tune's frenzied opening bars. The Roots have a history of taking musical pot-shots at some of Fallon's more infamous guests. They serenaded Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt with Beck's "Loser," while Ashlee Simpson was once greeted by a Milli Vanilli song, referencing her 2004 lip-synch flub on "Saturday Night Live." Hours before the show aired, Roots drummer Questlove told his Twitter followers to keep their ears pricked during Tuesday morning's show. "Aight late night walkon song devotees: you love it when we snark: this next one takes the cake. ask around cause i aint tweeting title," he tweeted. He later tweeted another clue encouraging his followers to bone-up on the L.A. ska-punk band's 1985 self-titled EP. Bachmann and Fallon's chat was mostly pleasant late-night patter, though the congresswoman drew some boos when she described President Obama as "finished" during a one-word question and answer game. She later took a playful crack at forgetful GOP rival Rick Perry. "That's not one word," she told Fallon when he mentioned Perry's name. "I've got to do three. Governor, Texas… can't remember the third. Oops!"

In fact, NBC is going to give Grimm a shot on Thursday nights — airing an episode in the Prime Suspect slot at 10 p.m. Dec. 8. At the very least, the move might get Grimm some additional sampling.

“Expect a poignant and must-watch storyline for Robin and Patrick,” added the rep. McCullough originated the character of GH‘s Robin in 1985, at age 7, and was a steady part of the serial through 1996. After taking time off to appear in primetime projects such as Once and Again, The Stones and Joan of Arcadia, she returned to GH in a regular capacity in October 2005.

Robin Gibb, founding member the Bee Gees, is battling liver cancer. The 61-year-old was told the news a few months ago, but this information is just becoming public. The Grammy winner has looked gaunt in photos and has canceled numerous recent appearances. Gibb has endured a series of medical problems. Jeremy London Wanted for Girlfriend's Assault
Jeremy London is wanted for questioning by police following a Friday phone call from his girlfriend saying he assaulted her. His girlfriend, whose name was not released, called the Palm Springs Police Department at 10:30 a.m. after an argument over custody of the couple's child turned violent, according to Sgt. Kyle Stjere. The girlfriend alleged that the Party of Five actor, 39, then assaulted her outside of her home. "This is a false allegation and we understand that the police have to follow protocol in issuing and arrest warrant – standard when any woman files a complaint of domestic abuse," London's rep, Dominic Friesen, said in a statement. "However, no such abuse occurred and these allegations will soon be proven false." Catherine Lombardo, London's lawyer, also said the allegations were false. London, whose struggles with addictions were chronicled on VH1's Celebrity Rehab, made headlines in 2010 when he was kidnapped at gun point and forced to use drugs (one of his kidnappers in the bizarre abduction eventually pleaded guilty in March). "Jeremy's legal counsel is cooperating with authorities and a factual account of the incident is on record," Friesen adds. "We anticipate Jeremy to be cleared of any wrongdoing as he continues to enjoy fatherhood and embrace sobriety."
