After 11 years of marriage, Twilight actor Peter Facinelli and his wife, Beverly Hills, 90210 darling Jennie Garth, are splitting, their reps jointly confirm. While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time," they said in a joint statement. Facinelli and Garth – who have three daughters, Luca, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5 – met on the set of TV movie, An Unfinished Affair in 1996, and married in 2001. Facinelli, 38, plays Carlisle Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight series and is a regular on Showtime's dark comedy, Nurse Jackie, which kicks off its fourth season on April 8. On Monday night, he attended The Hunger Games premiere in L.A. with daughter Luca. Garth, 39, is best known for playing Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills, 90210. She also shimmied her way to a fourth place finish with partner Derek Hough on Dancing with the Stars in 2007.
 

Spears turns Down Cowell's X-Factor offer

Britney Spears has turned down an offer to be a judge on The X Factor because she wanted more money. The show has been courting Spears for the gig after both Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were fired. Other musicians who have been linked to the position include  Janet Jackson (she declined), LeAnn Rimes and Avril Lavigne. The big problem here is that Spears has "The X Factor" folks and FOX over a barrel. With Jackson passing on the gig, the singing competition can ill-afford to have many more high-profile rejections. The show is currently third in a three horse race - behind "American Idol" and "The Voice." And when word leaks out (you can guess from who) that "The X Factor" is having trouble getting its first or second choice talent, this is hardly a compelling sell for advertisers and viewers. Now it's entirely possible that the show and Spears will split the difference on this. But if they can't come to an agreement and "The X Factor" has to go on to their next option, their bargaining position weakens. Sure $10 million is a lot for Spears to leave on the table. But it's also important to note that her net worth is estimated at $155 million, so it's not the end of the world. She's also not short on options, including a reported ongoing Las Vegas gig. Due to her possible Vegas venture Spears wanted a one year contract and Cowell wanted to lock the pop star in for a two season deal with a third optional pick up.
 It’s a boy for James and Kimberly Van Der Beek! The couple welcomed their second child, a son, on Tuesday, March 13, the actor announced via Twitter. “Had my first son this morning… well, actually, my wife had him. I just caught him. Wow. Heart expanding way faster than my brain,” Van Der Beek, 35, writes. “If you could bottle up and distribute this feeling, I swear there’d be no more war. #fatherhood” The new addition joins big sister Olivia, 17 months. The pair, who were married in August 2010, shared the news that they were expecting again in October. “Just when we thought we couldn’t feel any more blessed, it seems the universe has plans to give our daughter a sibling,” Van Der Beek wrote at the time. His new series, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23, premieres April 11 on ABC.

 

Bear Grylls Fired from Man vs. Wild
He has conquered thirst, pain, driving snow and flesh-eating piranhas. But contract negotiations? Not so much lately. Bear Grylls has been fired from Discovery's Man vs. Wild after filming six seasons. citing an apparent feud over whether he'd do two other projects. "Due to a continuing contractual dispute with Bear Grylls, Discovery has terminated all current productions with him," a network spokesperson says. The network has allegedly been unable to get Grylls to participate in two unannounced projects he was contracted for, say sources. As for Grylls's future, that'll depend on his survival skills. "Bear's goal has always been to make life-empowering shows for his many fans around the globe, and he has taken great risks to bring Discovery such award winning programming over seven seasons," his rep, Heather Krug says. Unfortunately, Bear and Discovery have not been able to come to mutual agreement on new programming, and he disagrees with Discovery's decision to terminate current productions," she continues. "Bear has loved the Man vs. Wild journey and looks forward to producing further cutting edge content again soon for his loyal audience."

Nicollette Sheridan's Battery Claim Against Marc Cherry Thrown Out!

After two weeks of testimony, Nicollette Sheridan's claim of battery against the Desperate Housewives creator has been thrown out. Her accusation that Cherry hit her "upside the head" on Sept. 28, 2008, was supposedly what set in motion the decision that led to her character being killed off the show in the spring of 2009. The centerpiece of Sheridan's case, an allegation of wrongful termination against ABC Studios, is still pending. "Obviously I am thrilled with the decision, but I am going to reserve further commentary until this matter is completely resolved," Cherry said outside the courtroom. Earlier, Desperate Housewives construction coordinator Michael Reinhart testified that he believes he accidentally was on the receiving end of an email detailing a cover-up surrounding Sheridan's firing. An independent forensic investigator has been tasked with examining Reinhart's hard drive. L.A. Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Allen White, who through the course of pretrial proceedings knocked Sheridan's original claim to damages of $20 million down by 75 percent, stated today that the actress can now only claim punitive damages for alleged retaliation. If she wins the remainder of her case, Sheridan could be entitled to $5.7 million.

Emma Roberts has signed up for the heist movie "Empire State" at Emmett/Furla Films. The story follows two childhood friends (one of which is played by Liam Hemsworth) who plan to rob an armoured card depository. Roberts plays a role of a waitress who falls for Liam's character.

"Ugly Betty" star Tony Plana has joined the cast of Michael Bay's "Pain and Gain" at Paramount Pictures. The story follows bodybuilders who engage in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida. Plana will play Capt. Al Lopez of the Miami Police Dept., who begins to look into the kidnapping of Marc Schiller (Tony Shalhoub) at the urging of his old friend, private detective Ed Du Bois (Ed Harris).

But rather than a deeper look into the life of esteemed actor and director Clint Eastwood, the series will focus on his wife Dina, their teenage daughters Francesca and Morgan, and ‘Overtone’: the all-male, six member South African vocal group that Dina manages (hence the “Company.”) “Nothing is more important to me than family – no matter how you define that,” Dina Eastwood said in a statement. “People might be surprised by how we live our lives and our unconventional approach, and I also believe that it’s hard not to fall in love with my band, ‘Overtone.’” “I’m really proud of my family,” Clint Eastwood said. “They are a constant source of inspiration and entertainment.”

Freddie Prinze Jr. is returning to the sitcom world with a role in NBC’s untitled comedy pilot from Community writer Hilary Winston. The project revolves around Agnes (7th Heaven‘s Sarah Wright), a shy, focused woman who, after being dumped by her fiancé (Prinze), leans on her co-workers (played by Mena Suvari, Aubrey Dollar and Kyle Howard) to help come out of her shell and plot her revenge.


ABC has renewed Bachelor Pad for a third season (to air this summer), and this time around the battle is being opened up to fans as well as alumni of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

'Desperate Housewives' Trial; Mystery Witness Emerges
The trial over Nicollette Sheridan's firing from "Desperate Housewives" featured one last twist Monday with the disclosure of a mystery witness who has indicated show officials tried to cover up correspondence related to the actress. A judge ordered the man to appear in court Tuesday morning to determine whether he will become one of the final witnesses that jurors considering the case will hear from. The man, who was identified as Michael Reinhart, left a message for Sheridan's attorney on Sunday afternoon stating that he mistakenly got an email that suggested that messages related to Sheridan's departure would be purged. The man on the message said he didn't want to become involved in the case, but by day's end had becoming the latest intriguing thread in a trial that has featured a behind-the-scenes look at "Desperate Housewives" and conflicting testimony on whether Sheridan was struck by show creator Marc Cherry during a September 2008 dispute. "There was a definite conspiracy to cover up the correspondence on email-wise in regards to Nicollette," the caller is heard saying on the call, which was played in court outside the presence of the jury. Adam Levin, an attorney for Cherry and ABC, dismissed the claims. He noted in court that he had not spoken with Reinhart. "Today's antics by the plaintiff, conjuring up mysterious emails, appears to be a last ditch effort save her case," Levin said after Monday's proceedings. Closing arguments are likely to begin on Tuesday as both sides call their final witnesses. Sheridan's attorney Mark Baute, who received the message Sunday, said he would like to call Reinhart as a witness. Sheridan, 48, is suing Cherry and ABC for wrongful termination and battery and is seeking $6 million in damages.
 He may have gotten engaged to Courtney Robertson in Switzerland last November (in a dramatic proposal which aired on the March 12 finale of season 16 of The Bachelor) but that didn't stop Ben Flajnik from stepping out on his bride-to-be  During the emotional After the Final Rose special,  Flajnik, 29, adamently denied groping and making out with one particular woman by a waterfront park near the Golden Gate Bridge -- but Us Weekly has the photographic proof, taken just before midnight Feb. 18.   During the after the final rose show, Ben told host Chris Harrison, "It's been a rough ride,"about everything that's happened since the finale was taped. What went wrong? As Ben began to watch his season of the show, he witnessed the catty behavior of his new fiancée. She later apologized. "The woman that I saw on TV isn't the Courtney that I know," he said, adding, "Those are the moments and the instances that led to Courtney and I not talking for a time while the show aired. We were essentially broken up." Courtney, said "It's a really hard situation living in a house with 25 women all dating the same guy. It's just a very unnatural situation to be in, and it brought out the worst in me." During this time apart, photos were published of Ben apparently kissing another woman. But, he says, looks can be deceiving. "On my father's grave," he swore to Chris, "I haven't kissed another woman, I haven't hooked up with another woman. I haven't cheated on Courtney." Of the photos, Ben added, "I am not kissing those women [in those photos]. It's as simple as that." Now, despite uncertainty and "trust that's been lost," according to Courtney, the pair say they're trying to pick up the pieces and move forward together. "We're engaged. We're in a good place," Ben said.
 Eighty-six year old Dick Van Dyke looks like a giddy young groom with his bride in a photo from the couple's intimate wedding. The actor tied the knot with makeup artist Arlene Silver, 40, on Leap Day this year. The couple beamed as they cut their two-tier wedding cake topped with red flowers. Van Dyke and Silver met six years ago at the SAG Awards. This is Van Dyke's second marriage.

'Army Wives' Kim Delaney apologizes for incoherent military funerals speech

Remember when Kim Delaney spoke at Liberty Medal Award presentation for former defense secretary last September? Delaney has now addressed the speech in her first interview since the infamous speech, saying, "I wasn't feeling great [and] there were technical problems. I was prepared, but it didn't come out that way. It was like the perfect storm for something to go wrong. And then it goes viral! There's just nothing you can do [but] deal with it, right?" Moss agrees to 49ers deal

Randy Moss is ready to show the world he can still be that dynamic deep threat who once dominated NFL defensive backs. Even after a year away. Even at age 35. Even with a reputation he says isn't all it's made out to be. Moss is getting a another chance in the NFL, signing a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, only hours after he worked out for the team with coach Jim Harbaugh, a former NFL quarterback.  ''I'm not a free agent. I'm a guy straight off the couch, straight off the street,'' Moss said. ''One thing I want the sports world to understand is the love and passion I have for football.'' Moss will fill a big void for the reigning NFC West champions in Harbaugh's version of the West Coast offense.  This is a fresh start. ''The thing about me being here is they've done their research on me. When it comes to the worldwide sports media, I've gotten a bad rap,'' Moss said. ''They've done their homework on me or they wouldn't have brought me in here. ... (The questions were) more of me not being a team player and things like that. I don't want to get into that.''  Moss said he initially retired for ''personal reasons outside of football'' and considered making a comeback late in the 2011 season before ultimately deciding to give his body more time to train. He suffered a shoulder injury during 2010 with New England.  ''It was a decision to get back in the game because I still love the game and think I can play at a high level,'' he said. ''It was obvious they liked what they saw. I don't want to let them down.''

 Michael Madsen, who appeared in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, was arrested following a fight with his teenage son. Madsen, 54, the brother of actress Virginia Madsen, was booked at a Los Angeles County Sheriff's station on a felony charge of child endangerment with cruelty to a child and released on $100,000 bail. He was arrested at his Malibu home by deputies responding to a family disturbance call. Detectives from the Special Victims Bureau were following up on allegations the actor was intoxicated and fighting with his son, who didn't require medical attention, according to the Sheriff's Department. Madsen's attorney Perry Wander says that Madsen "found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away. It's a family matter and Michael asks that his families privacy be respected."


Dennis Quaid's Wife Files for Divorce
Kimberly filed the divorce petition citing, “the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities…that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.” Kimberly is asking for spousal support and they have a temporary order which gives Kimberly the house and the Mercedes, while Dennis gets the condo, the Cadillac and the Escalade. However, they do have a Range Rover and the temporary custody order says, “The parties shall cooperate with one another in using the Range Rover…” Kimberly is asking for spousal support and wants all community assets to be fairly divided, but Dennis is saying “Hell no!” He wants her to get nothing. The temporary order also states that they cannot say anything “vulgar, profane, obscene or indecent,” to one another. The two were married in 2004 and have twin sons together who are now four years old. This is Dennis’s third marriage. He divorced actress P.J. Soles in 1983, and then married Meg Ryan and divorced her in 2001.

Coolio's Son in Jail for Robbery, Kidnapping and Larceny
Coolio’s eldest son has been arrested is currently locked up in a Nevada jail. 22 year-old Grtis Ivey, who appeared on the reality show “Coolio’s Rules” as ‘Artis’ was arrested for busting into an apartment in Vegas, forcing the tenant into the bathroom at gunpoint. He and female prostitute Shantrice Wilkerson then ransacked the place. The police report states that Shantrice was working an LAX nightclub at the Luxor on October 26, and she met a guy name Joseph Hall. He didn’t realize she was a call girl. It’s Vegas, after all. Most everyone looks like a prostitute. The two hit it off, and Wilkerson told Hall she had a “dream” of having sex on a pile of money. Hall asked if $5,000 was OK, and she said yeah, sure, I guess that’ll do, and the two went back to get some cash from Hall’s apartment. Wilkerson remembered where he lived and brought Grtis to the place three days later to rob it. Coolio’s son then entered the home with a gun, and the two stole a safe, two iPads, two laptops, a passport, and pretty much everything else. According to the police, they were able to identify Coolio’s son and the hooker, and they were both arrested for robbery with a deadly weapon, first degree kidnapping and grand larceny. Grtis is currently being held without bail, set to face a judge on Monday.
 Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger's 18-year-old son Patrick went to the hospital on a stretcher Saturday after a skiing accident in Sun Valley, Idaho. Patrick was recovering and feeling well enough to postdetails on Twitter and photos on WhoSay and Instagram, including a picture of a nasty cut to his backside. "Little ski accident today," Patrick told his Twitter followers. "Some bruises and stiches down back and but (sic). Thanks to sun valley doctors for everything." The accident came about seven months after his little brother Christopher, 14, was hospitalized after hurting himself while boogie-boarding.

The model is finally breaking her silence on the matter. Heidi appears on the April cover of Elle, and in the mag, she talks about her high-profile, shocking split from Seal. "To the outside world, you don't really share all the things that happen. You kind of share just the most amazing sides," she explains. "But I don't really want to get into any of that stuff. With my life, my family, my business -- I want to go forward." "I feel like already there are so many things being said about us -- about him, about me. I'm not going to comment. Otherwise it makes you angry. You can't always call and say, 'This is not true, but this part is true.' He's a growm man. I can't tell him what to do and what not to do," Klum says. "It's hard." 'The Lorax' stands firm with $39.1M
Apparently the Truffula Valley is a much better training ground for the box office than Mars, as Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax had no trouble fending off Disney’s expensive new sci-fi arrival John Carter. The animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax," starring Zac Efron and Taylor Swift, managed to reign supreme at the box office once again, raking in $39.1 million dollars to come in first place. Teen party flick "Project X" continued to surprise, earning $11.5 million and taking third place, while the Elizabeth Olsen-starring horror film "Silent House" pulled in slightly more than "Act of Valor" at around $7 million each. "A Thousand Words" didn't even crack the top 5, but the comedy, which was actually made in 2008, pulled in $6.3 million to come in sixth place. The thriller "Safe House" wasn't too far behind with $5 million. "The Vow" earned $4 million to "This Mean's War's" $3.75, and "Journey 2" rounded out the top 10 with $3.7.


Olivier Martinez Confirms Engagement to Halle Berry
Finally making the news official, French actor Olivier Martinez confirms reports from January that he's engaged to Halle Berry. "Yes, of course it's true," he told The Miami Herald while promoting his new South Beach restaurant Villa Azur. Contrary to reports the actress had a Gurhan-designed ring, Berry's emerald engagement bling was actually designed by Robert Mazlo of Paris, whom Martinez called "a real artist" who has been making jewelry for "kings and queens for many centuries." The Oscar-winning actress, 45, costarred with Martinez, 46, in the 2010 film Dark Tide. They soon became an item off-screen. Berry has been married twice before – to baseball player David Justice in the early 1990s, and to singer Eric Benét in the early 2000s – and has daughter Nahla, who turns 4 this month, with Gabriel Aubrey.

Chef Batali Agrees to $5.25M Server-Tip Suit Accord

Mario Batali, the celebrity TV chef and owner of several New York restaurants, is often seen with actress Gwyneth Paltrow, taste-testing the culinary delights of Spain in their public television series "On the Road Again." Batali took a detour, through his lawyers, to New York federal court in Manhattan, where he was sued and accused of cheating workers of part of their tips for serving wine. He and his associate Joseph Bastianich agreed to pay $5.25 million to settle the class-action lawsuit, according to court papers. Servers at restaurants including Babbo, Casa Mono and Tarry Lodge sued in 2010 alleging their employers violated the Fair Labor Standards Act -- in part by pocketing gratuities equal to as much as 5 percent of nightly wine sales. "Mr. Batali, Mr. Bastianich, and their restaurants unlawfully confiscated a portion of their workers' hard-earned tips in order to supplement their own profits," employees said in their complaint.  The settlement agreement, filed March 5, is subject to approval by a federal judge. "The matter has been resolved to the satisfaction of all parties, Rachel Bien, one of the employees' lawyers, said.
 Curly Sue is all grown up – and married! Alisan Porter, a singer-songwriter and actress – best known as the star of 1991's Curly Sue, directed by the late John Hughes, alongside Jim Belushi and Kelly Lynch – tied the knot Saturday with husband Brian Autenrieth. Porter, 30, and Autenrieth, 33, exchanged vows at Diablo Dormido, a historic California ranch nestled in the Santa Monica mountains, in front of 100 guests.

Touchdown-machine Santonio Holmes baby mama wants a fat raise in child support. Just months after Holmes signed a 5-year deal with the Jets worth nearly $50 million, a woman named Nicole King has filed a petition in Florida for child support modification ... demanding way more money from the star wide receiver. King cites Holmes' new contract in the docs -- claiming, "There has been a substantial change in circumstances in that [Holmes'] income has substantially increased since the entry of the final judgment and the needs to the child have increased." King doesn't specify how much extra cash she wants now that Holmes but according to the current child support order, Holmes is already required to pay the woman $4,000 a month ... and even buy her a house.

Basketball Wives SpinoffChad Ochocinco and Evelyn Lozada have signed their deal to do a "Basketball Wives" spinoff show with VH1. Filming on the new show will begin in the next few weeks, right after taping for  "Wives" ends and will focus on the couple as they get ready to exchange vows this summer. Negotiations finally wrapped last week and the two will each take home $300,000 for about two months of work. When Evelyn re-upped her contract with "Basketball Wives" last year, part of the deal called for VH1 to give her and Chad their own show. The show should be officially announced this week.

Basketball Wife's Husband Files for DivorceBasketball Wives" star Kenya Bell is finding out ... a marriage just can't hold up when you attack your husband with a box cutter -- because the guy just filed for divorce. Former NBA'er Charlie Bell filed the papers in Michigan Court -- claiming there was a breakdown in the marriage. Kenya -- presumably separated from Charlie at the time -- was famously arrested in May 2011, after allegedly breaking into the couple's home and attacking Charlie with a box cutter in front of their children. Kenya was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence -- but struck a plea deal in which she avoided jail time ... pleading guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence.

  Whitney Houston's 19-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, will inherit everything from the late singer's estate, based on instructions in Houston's will. Houston's ex-husband, Bobby Brown, the father of Bobbi Kristina, gets nothing. Houston, who died last month at age 48, left all of her money, property, clothing and personal effects to her only child, according to the document dated and signed in 1993, the year Bobbi Kristina was born. The Grammy winner's money will be placed into a trust, which Bobbi Kristina can partially access when she turns 21. She will be able to access another portion of her inheritance at age 25 and the remainder at age 30. Houston's trustees can also add money to the fund, the will states. Houston's mother, Cissy Houston, is named as executor of the estate in an updated version of the will filed in 2000. Bobbi Kristina is scheduled to be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, although Houston's family is hoping to keep the teen out of the spotlight.
 Following a year of romantic vacationing and double dates, Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz have called it quits, a source confirmed. Longoria, 36, and Cruz (Penélope Cruz's younger brother) were first spotted looking cozy last February while watching a flamenco group perform. They began spending time together about a month after Longoria's divorce from Tony Parker was finalized.
  Elisabeth Moss has something to say about her ex-husband Fred Armisen, and the funnyman might not be smiling at her remarks. "One of the greatest things I heard someone say about him is, 'He's so great doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person.' To me, that sums it up," the Mad Men actress, 29, siad in a recent interview. She adds: "I've never told anyone that. And I don't want to waste any more of my life talking about it." Biting comments indeed, and Moss knows it. "I'm probably gonna get a slap on the wrist," she says. "But I've just been such a good girl. And sometimes you just want to be a bad girl for a minute." Moss and Armisen, 45, met in October 2008 on the Saturday Night Live set when Jon Hamm was hosting. They married a year later but split eight months after that, with Moss citing irreconcilable differences. In any case, there's a more pressing matter: season 5 of Mad Men, which premieres March 25 on AMC. "I am ecstatic with what happens this season," Moss says. "I think the audience is going to be surprised. For me, it was very meaningful with what happens to [my character] Peggy."

Call it Singing With the Stars. Recording artists Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Nettles, Lionel Richie and Robin Thicke will serve as mentors as well as singing partners in Duets, a new competition series set to air this summer on ABC. The twist, because there kinda has to be one: Clarkson, Richie and the other “Superstars” will travel the country to recruit two proteges each. Then, once the competition gets underway, the pros will duet with each of their mentees, live in front of a studio audience. When all is said and done, after both the four Superstars as well as viewers cast their votes, only one pair will be left standing, with the amatuer crooner claiming a recording contract with Hollywood Records.


Entourage Emmy winner Jeremy Piven is in talks to play the title character in Mr. Selfridge a 10-episode drama for Britain’s ITV. The series is based on Lindy Woodhead’s bookShopping, Seduction and Mr Selfridge.


Although "Glee" covered Whitney Houston the week after she died, the show is reportedly planning a proper full-episode tribute dedicated entirely to the singer. The FOX hit began production on a Whitney tribute that will include eight songs from her catalog. The storyline will focus on the McKinley High seniors who are "having a real hard time letting go."

CBS has renewed The Talk for a third season, with Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler all set to return as hosts.


TLC has cancelled the low-rated All-American Muslim after just one season.

Colts to release Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts had both hoped he would play his entire NFL career with that franchise. It won't be happening. What was speculated about for months will become official Wednesday when the Colts officially part ways with their future Hall of Fame quarterback. It has been confirmed that Manning will be released, ending his storied 14-year tenure with the club. Jay Glazer reported that Manning and Colts owner Jim Irsay will conduct a joint news conference Wednesday in Indianapolis. The tone is intended as a farewell tribute to Manning, whom Irsay has long championed as a close friend as well as Colts star. The news conference will be held at noon. The Colts were unable to reach a restructured contract with Manning that would have kept the franchise from having to pay a $28 million roster bonus that was due Thursday. The Colts are uncertain about Manning's NFL future after four neck surgeries in a 19-month span. They also are set to draft Manning's heir apparent — Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck — with the first pick in April's draft. Manning, who will turn 36 on March 24, is vigorously rehabbing in hopes of resuming his NFL career. Teams who could be in the bidding for his services include Miami, Washington, Kansas City, Arizona and Seattle. The Colts signed Manning to a five-year, $90 million contract extension last July in hopes that he would finish his playing days in Indianapolis. Manning, though, was forced to miss the entire season because of neck surgery. The Colts finished with the NFL's worst record at 2-14. That put the club in position to draft Luck, who is the most highly touted college quarterback since Manning was the first overall pick in 1998. Once released from his contract, Manning will be able to immediately sign with another franchise.


Paula Deen & Brother Bubba Sued for Harassment
Paula Deen and her brother Earl W. "Bubba" Hiers are being sued by a former general manager at Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House, a restaurant they co-own. Lisa Jackson – who worked as general manager at the Savannah, Ga., eatery for five years – alleges in court documents filed Monday in the Superior Court of Chatham County, that she was subjected to sexual harassment and violent behavior by Hiers. The documents claim that Hiers's "conduct was even physically threatening and universally humiliating," adding, "The staff ... lived in fear of Bubba Hiers." According to the filing, Hiers also instituted a requirement that female managers wear long sleeves because of some of the so-called "fat girls" whom he said also shouldn't be wearing capri pants or skirts. "My client informed Paula Deen of these conditions – the sexual harassment and racial discrimination, all of it," Jackson's attorney Wesley Woolf told PEOPLE. "I'm not saying once or twice; I'm saying frequently to Paula Deen herself in person, over the phone, with corporate counsel for Paula Deen. And nothing was done about it." Deen, 65, is also accused in the documents of making racist jokes.
 Jessica Simpson has made billions from her eponymous fashion line, and she tells ELLE that she’s hoping her little one — a girl! — will be similarly style-conscious. “I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!” the Fashion Star mentor, 31, says of the baby she’s expecting this spring with fiancé Eric Johnson. “Eric is so athletic — we’re gonna have this athletic girl and I won’t even be able to take her shopping, ’cause all she’s gonna want is sports bras and Nikes!”

Forest Whitaker is in talks to take on the title role in Lee Daniels' "The Butler" about real-life White House butler Eugene Allen who worked there from 1952 to 1986. David Oyelowo is already circling the role of Allen’s son, and Oprah Winfrey has also been in early talks to play Allen’s wife.
 Prince Harry may be royal of many talents, but sprinting does not appear to be one of them. On his visit to Jamaica Tuesday, the prince, 27, got to meet Olympic champion sprinter Usain Bolt, and the two "raced" at the University of West Indies stadium in Kingston.


The Bling Ring
Leslie Mann, Taissa Farmiga and Israel Broussard have joined the cast of Sofia Coppola’s upcoming project "The Bling Ring". The story follows a group of fashion and fame-obsessed teens who broke into the homes of celebrities. Mann will play a mom of two of the girls, Broussard the male lead.

Lily Collins, Logan Lerman, Nat Wolff, Liana Liberato, and Kristen Bell have all joined the cast of Josh Boone's indie comedy-drama "Writers". The story follows the members of the Borgens family and their love interests over the course of one tumultuous year. Greg Kinnear and Jennifer Connelly also star in the film.

Bill Maher speaks up for embattled Rush Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh has been losing advertisers seemingly by the hour in the days since he called Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke a "slut," but he managed to pick up one surprising supporter today: Bill Maher. The famously liberal host of "Real Time with Bill Maher" tweeted, "Hate to defend #RushLimbaugh but he apologized, liberals looking bad not accepting. Also hate intimidation by sponsor pullout." Maher should know, considering he faced an advertiser backlash of his own in 2001, after he said on-air that the 9/11 terrorists were "not cowardly."

Payton, GM: Blame us for bounty program

Almost a week after the NFL pointed to them for failing to stop a bounty program involving some two dozen Saints players, coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis apologized and took the blame for violations that ''happened under our watch.'' ''These are serious violations and we understand the negative impact it has had on our game,'' Payton and Loomis added. ''Both of us have made it clear within our organization that this will never happen again, and make that same promise to the NFL and most importantly to all of our fans,'' Payton and Loomis said in a joint statement Tuesday.Payton and Loomis also said New Orleans owner Tom Benson ''had nothing to do'' with the bounty pool. ''We acknowledge that the violations disclosed by the NFL during their investigation of our club happened under our watch. We take full responsibility,'' they said. The league's investigation, released last Friday, said the bounty program was funded primarily by players for the past three seasons and was overseen by former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. He admitted to running the program and apologized within hours after the report surfaced. The league also said Payton, though not directly involved, was aware of the bounty pool, but did nothing to stop it. Williams now is defensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams. He met with NFL security officials on Monday as part of the league's ongoing investigation. Once it concludes — the league says there is no timetable — Roger Goodell likely will hand out the stiffest penalties of his 5 1/2 years as commissioner. Goodell has frequently taken a hard line on any action that threatens player safety. He suspended Detroit's Ndamukong Suh for two games for stomping on an opponent last season; banned Pittsburgh's James Harrison for one game after a series of flagrant hits that culminated in a collision with Cleveland quarterback Colt McCoy's helmet; and has ramped up the amount of fines for what the league terms ''egregious hits.''

Sigourney Weaver, having previously played a First Lady on the big screen in Dave, is heading back into the political arena as the star of Political Animals, a series debuting on USA Network this summer. The six-hour series finds Weaver playing Elaine Barrish, a divorced former First Lady who immerses herself in her new job as Secretary of State as she rebounds from the dissolution of her marriage and losing the presidential nomination.


Another familiar face is headed back to General Hospital this spring. Kristina Wagner is set to reprise her role as fan fave Felicia beginning in April.


Parks and Recreation‘s Leslie Knope will be a city council member – or not – by the end of this season! At the show’s PaleyFest12 panel on Tuesday, executive producer Mike Schur assured the audience that “we’ll find out [the outcome of the election] in the finale.” To ensure the reveal remains under wraps, “We shot two endings,” said Schur. “Partly to hedge our bets in case we change our minds and partly to throw snoopers off.” “It was really touching and moving to do both the acceptance and the concession speeches,” adds star Amy Poehler.

Dykstra sentenced to 3 years in prison

Former New York Mets outfielder Lenny Dykstra was sentenced Monday to three years in state prison in a grand theft auto case. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Cynthia Ulfig sentenced Dykstra after refusing to allow him to withdraw a no-contest plea. The judge said the theft scheme showed sophistication and extensive planning. Dykstra was immediately remanded to custody and he walked into the court's back room, hands in his pockets. Dykstra, 49, initially pleaded not guilty to 25 counts after police arrested him and found cocaine, Ecstasy and synthetic human growth hormone at his Los Angeles home last April. Prosecutors said Dykstra and two co-defendants tried to lease and then sell high-end cars from several car dealerships by claiming credit through a phony business. His accountant, Robert Hymers, pleaded no contest to one count of identity theft, while Christopher Gavanis pleaded no contest to one count of filing a false financial statement. They are both awaiting sentencing. Dykstra changed his plea in October to no contest and in exchange prosecutors dropped 21 counts.  Dykstra has had a series of legal problems over the past year. He faces federal bankruptcy charges and is scheduled to stand trial this summer. Dykstra, who bought a mansion once owned by hockey star Wayne Gretzky, filed for bankruptcy three years ago, claiming he owed more than $31 million and had only $50,000 in assets. Federal prosecutors said that after filing, Dykstra hid, sold or destroyed more than $400,000 worth of items from the $18.5 million mansion without permission of a bankruptcy trustee. Dykstra also has pleaded not guilty to indecent exposure charges for allegedly exposing himself to women he met on Craigslist. The ex-major leaguer has been in a sober living facility.


Peter Gabriel asks Rush Limbaugh Show to stop using his music
In the wake of the Rush Limbaugh-Sandra Fluke controversy, a Peter Gabriel rep posted a message on the British musician’s Facebook page asking that his music no longer be used on Limbaugh’s radio show. Gabriel’s song “Sledgehammer” can be heard playing in the background of Limbaugh’s infamous rant, in which he called the Georgetown student a “slut” and a “prostitute.” “Peter was appalled to learn that his music was linked to Rush Limbaugh’s extraordinary attack on Sandra Fluke,” the message reads. “It is obvious from anyone that knows Peter’s work that he would never approve such a use. He has asked his representatives to make sure his music is withdrawn and especially from these unfair aggressive and ignorant comments.” Gabriel follows a number of advertisers on Limbaugh’s program who have pulled out of the show in the wake of the controversy. That list now includes flower delivery service ProFlowers, mortgage lender Quicken Loans, the maker of Sleep Number beds, mattress retailer Sleep Train, software maker Citrix Systems Inc., online data backup service provider Carbonite, online legal document services company LegalZoom, tax help firm Tax Resolution Services Co., and AOL Inc. KPUA, an AM station in Hilo, Hawaii, has also said it would be dropping Limbaugh’s show immediately.
 Elizabeth Berkley and husband Greg Lauren, an artist and clothing designer, are expecting a baby, her rep confirms. “In life there are moments you cherish forever and this is one of them,” the former Saved by the Bell star, 39 said. “Greg and I are so excited to be expecting our first child this summer. We couldn’t be more grateful and overjoyed.” Berkley — who wrote a book, Ask Elizabeth – has also appeared in Showgirls and on CSI: Miami and The L Word. The couple were married in 2003.


Reality Star Tila Tequila Hospitalized
Reality star Tila Tequila was hospitalized for a week following a brain aneurism. The 30 year old, 4’11” TV personality had dropped from 100 pounds to only 78 pounds, and she had a brain aneurism that nearly caused her death. Tila’s brain aneurism came in the middle of the night and caused her to think irrationally. She was in pain and decided to take two bottles of unspecified heavy prescription drugs. "Tila threw up all over her bed after overdosing and felt like she was dying. She was screaming for help, and in desperation, broke her bedroom window and attempted to jump out," the source told RadarOnline. "Finally a friend came over after getting a strange text from her and found her convulsing on the bed. He called an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital." The source added that “it was terrifying for Tila and death was knocking at her door. She was in two hospitals for the span of a week and is still not in perfect health, so she's going to check into an outpatient program.” Tila has reportedly been in intensive care all week and she was hospitalized just in time to stabilize her.
Kris Humphries isn’t the only member of his family with a cool job: his older sister, Kaela, just inked a deal with FORD Models’ FORD + division, which specializes in plus-size talent. “The division that brought you Crystal Renn, Ashley Graham, Candice Huffine and Marquita Pring among others is excited at the prospect of bringing this beautiful, engaging young woman to markets worldwide,” the agency said in a release. “A true size 16-18, Kaela will be in a league of her own.” The Minnesota native made her runway debut in the fall, walking in the over-the-top Richie Rich show during New York Fashion Week. She also appeared on Kim & Kourtney Take New York, and the recent CW semi-reality show Remodeled. “There’s a word that I can’t stand, this world ‘plus-size’ model,” Paul Fisher, a longtime modeling agent featured on Remodeled, said earlier this year when asked about Humphries. “Kaela, they call her a plus-size model. I don’t even know what this word plus means. She’s normal. She’s perfect. She’s beautiful.”


Saints to work out Randy Moss
Amid widespread bounty allegations, the New Orleans Saints still are conducting the business of potentially adding to their roster. The Saints are bringing in former All-Pro receiver Randy Moss for a workout Tuesday, along with former Packers quarterback Brian Brohm, who will throw during the workout. Moss announced his retirement before the 2011 season, and then announced his potential unretirement weeks ago. The Saints are believed to be one of a few teams that are interested in bringing Moss in for a workout in the coming weeks.

Guess we’ll likely never find out what the Badlands were all about. Fox has cancelled prehistoric dino drama Terra Nova after one season, ending months of will-they-or-won’t-they speculation. Studio 20th Century Fox TV, however, says they fight Terra Nova‘s extinction event by shopping the series to other networks.


Another musical guest will stop by 90210 this season. In the May 8 episode, Naomi hosts a bachelorette party that features an unexpected visit from Nick Carter, who will play himself. The Backstreet Boys member is invited to the party because the bride had a crush on him since junior high school.


Grey’s Anatomy boss Shonda Rhimes has confirmed what we pretty much already knew after watching Ellen Pompeo on Chelsea Lately last week: Katherine Heigl will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy anytime soon. While Pompeo chuckled and replied with a simple, “No, I don’t think that’s happening,” when asked about the prospect of her former co-star returning to the ABC series, Rhimes was even more definitive about a possible Izzie comeback. “We are on a track we have been planning, and the idea of changing that track is not something we are interested in right now,” Rhimes said adding that it’s “really nice to hear [Heigl] appreciating the show.”


Guillermo Diaz (Weeds, ABC’s upcoming new series Scandal) will guest star on Episode 18 of Law and Order: SVU. He’ll play a convict and self-educated lawyer who maintains his innocence.

Saturday Night Live was on the high side with LiLo serving as host this weekend. Though Lindsay Lohan would go on to take many critical drubbings for her mediocre outing, the telecast nonetheless gave the NBC sketch show its second-highest rating (a 5.5) in metered-market households this season, trailing only the Jan. 7 installment.



 

Alex O'Loughlin Gets Treatment for Prescription Pain Medication

Alex O'Loughlin, who plays Steve McGarrett on CBS's reboot of Hawaii Five-0, is expected to miss filming for at least one episode while he undergoes treatment. The Australian-born actor, 35, is to "receive supervised treatment for prescription pain medication due to a recent shoulder injury," his rep says.  The popular police show has already shot 19 episodes for the season with production said to be ahead of schedule. "We respect and support Alex's decision," CBS TV Studios says in a statement. "Everyone at CBS Television Studios and Hawaii Five-0 wishes him well and we look forward to his return."

Oprah to interview Whitney Houston's daughter, family

Oprah Winfrey has landed an interview with Whitney Houston's daughter and other family members for a TV special that will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network. "Oprah's Next Chapter" will feature an interview with 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina, Houston's only child. It will also include Patricia Houston, who's the singer's sister-in-law and manager, as well as the singer's brother Gary. It is scheduled to air March 11. The superstar was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Feb. 11. First, it easily scored the best opening of the year so far, trouncing The Vow ($41.2 million). The Lorax had the strongest opening ever for a Dr. Seuss adaptation, topping How the Grinch Stole Christmas‘ $55.1 debut in 2000.

Seahawks sign Marshawn LynchThe Seattle Seahawks signed running back Marshawn Lynch to a four-year, $31 million contract one day before the NFL deadline to use the franchise tag. A league source confirms the deal includes $18 million in guaranteed money. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent March 13. “We are excited to keep Marshawn as an important part of what we are building,” general manager John Schneider said. “This is what we were hoping for when we acquired him from Buffalo.” Lynch was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate and rushed for 43 yards on eight carries during the NFL annual all-star game.

Karine Vanasse joins Mike Vogel as the second Pan Am star to book a pilot this development season. She’s set to play an aspiring fashion designer in the network’s drama project Scruples, which is based on the novel by Judith Krantz.
